  1. This mix is my introduction to Moseph - it surprised me quite greatly when I first heard this. It's grand and sounds like a harbinger to a battle. The progression of the mix is wonderful, I love how it moves towards a middle section that brings a sad mood into the equation and then back to the original atmosphere. This is a great example of a mix that takes you through emotions and it captivates me greatly.
  2. The song sounds too discrete early on - it needed some more production work to smooth out those kinks. The background instrumentation creates a strange overall feel to the song which adds some mystery to the song. The song sort of meanders a lot to me. Not bad, but overall it could use a little more work IMO.
  3. This mix has a nice airy quality to it. The vocals in the background help accomplish this, as well as the synths. The guitar and piano help accentuate it too with its slow methodical progress. It's a bit reminiscient of In a Snow-Bound Land from DKC 2 with its atmosphere. Good job you two!
  4. Another chill mix from Josh - some might think it gets a bit repetitive, but it certainly does a great job with its subtle variations and maintaining that sweet groove. Not sure if the falsetto singing was the greatest thing to add, although I can see why it was put in. Regardless, the song does a great job overall in utilizing just a few notes and making a complete song out of it.
  5. Nice mix - I'm a great fan of string instruments . My main qualm here is that it sounds a little muddy and that something sounds off - I think the recording could have been improved. The violin really adds a nice touch otherwise though with its rich sound. The violin is a sad aspect that contrasts with the rest of the instrumentation. It brings an interesting combo to the song.
  6. Ooh, a DigiE mix! More solid stuff, I like it - the high end earlier on seems to stick out a bit and maybe could be dialed back a bit, but it doesn't really affect much of how awesome this comes out. There's a lot going on, which is something I tend to look for in active mixes like this. Can we get more of this?
  7. The song is surprising for a Sixto track - a mellow serenade takes the place of hard rock. I really get a Vai feel from some of his more recent tracks and this one is no exception. It does the job well though, although I feel like it's overcompressed - why Sixto, why?!?!?
  8. This source sure brings out the funk from the community. Not as guitar centered as some of the other takes, but still fun. I think the song sounds on the thin side at times, but otherwise I don't really think much of that since there's enough going on. Can't get enough Hydrocity!
  9. This is a nice serious brooding mix. It flows pretty well and has a nice touch that the higher end synth adds to it. Overall a great effort by Jimmy, who has been on fire as of late!
  10. Pretty good mix here, although woefully short! Flexstyle does a good job with turning this into a trance mix, it follows the formula pretty well, but could use taking it up another notch.
  11. A Sir NutS mix! Solid stuff, albeit short. It develops a little too slowly for me . The backbone to this mix is pretty good though, I just want to see more with it.
  12. I <3 Vurez's music. His ethnic touch just works so well and is quite unique. It also manages to keep a nice pace that fits just right. Sweet solid stuff as you expect from him.
  13. Sweet collab, but it's too short! It's upbeat and much more fun than you'd think of friendly fire to be. The ending is a bit of a copout too . Great overall though.
  14. This is a pretty big 5 man collab. This shows off some nice ethnic flairs to it, and definitely makes me think of an indian chase of some sort. I think the mixing sounds off here, as well as possible overcompression? It sounds like some of the instruments are a bit cluttered and it hurts the ethnic sound from sounding full. The song meanders quite a bit which is ok, although not as much my cup of tea. Good job overall, although I would love to hear a cleaned up version of this.
  15. Sixto is all about going balls deep! Pretty solid stuff, different synth usage than Juan's normal stuff. Guitar playing is also good, and the production is always stellar. It's like Sixto's music is always insta-<3 .
  16. I absolutely love this mix - the vocals really help this mix strike a chord in a great way. The interplay here is executed well. The arrangement helps showcase the duet well. Somehow I feel the arrangement can be improved upon, but admittedly I do not know how. What is there is quite sweet and definitely gets a good amount of play from me. Thanks for this phenomenal mix!
  17. Man, she has a perfect voice for this style of music! Great find!
  18. This is some pretty great stuff, but I wouldn't expect less from this assortment of great people from the community. Good rapping, instrumentation, arrangement, and solid mixing. The overall design is a true collaborative effort.
  19. Another BlackPanther track! Arrangement is good, but I hear some production issues. The volume seems kind of low in general, and we needed some more power of the bass! My guess is that this is an older mix relatively speaking though. I know Rashad can do better!
  20. Solid arrangement here - production is a little rough here though. The synths seem a little dry sounding. The beats could use some more fatness with lower frequencies I feel. Otherwise, this is a pretty enjoyable track to listen to.
  21. This is a quaint solo take on a quaint theme. The performance is not without mistakes, but it is still enjoyable. It shows off some of the subtle nature of the piano, although I wish there was a bit more of a transition in playing from the harder struck notes to the gentler, delicate notes. The song still ends up quite good though, and it is quite hard to really complain too much.
  22. This song starts out slow, but picks up eventually and winds down. It feels stretched out IMO and would have a better effect if condensed IMO, although this is an improv. I don't have too much else to say about it to be honest, it's a bit of a simple arrangement & pretty straightforward as far as songs go. I think it loses a lot of its heavy feel that the original has and doesn't endear as strongly as it, partly due to how long it is without enough variance.
  23. Sucks, I know - we have a tentative release date scheduled though. There's a few last minute touchups we want though.
