  1. What are you guys using for that? Samples in a tracker? Or some sort of plugin, it sounds good, I'd love to know what you used, and possibly get those samples if they're available.
  2. Music from Stapler is sweet! That's really well done!
  3. Sorry I missed the festivities, I hope there's still cake! Happy birthday both of you!
  4. I'd imagine the ending was ambiguous for a reason, if they need her to be dead, she'll be dead, if they need her alive, she'll be alive.
  5. Valve is really good at the whole conspiracy game, clues within clues within clues... Even in TF2, a lot of clues have been found in the source code for their websites and stuff. Aperture Science has had a secret website for a long time now too, if you knew the right account you could see how much of the company's finances were dedicated to cake!
  6. Sweet! I absolutely love Portal and would love to see them make a more in depth sequel. I could see them showing more connections from this to half-life, but I can't really see a merged sequel coming any time soon. This is a cool way to introduce things, it interests me.
  7. I can't tell if you're being sarcastic after 2 minutes of not being helped, or if someone has helped you already... but either way all you do is right click on the big bar at the top and make sure Transport Panel is checked.
  8. I picked up this soundtack long ago, it's got some great stuff in it and I recommend checking it out.
  9. Ya I think this is great for just a quick an easy way to get people interested, they can learn more technical stuff later, but if you don't interest them they'll just drop it. That's why I like your choice of A minor instead, equally as simple, yet sounds more interesting. Keep the theory limited to "whatever comes up" I think, you might mention things in passing, but I wouldn't worry to much about it.
  10. I was also going to guess at max polyphony, but that shouldn't cause garbling... Either way, check it to be sure. When the render options box pops up, make sure "Disable Max Poly" is lit up.
  11. Are you using SFZ for soundfonts? I've known sfz have problems if there's a bunch of instances running.
  12. Hrmm, looks pretty good for people who want to get started quickly. Interesting choice in starting with A minor instead of C, most people get sick of everything sounding happy all the time though I suppose. Well done, good for beginners. It still makes me cringe a little inside to see index middle and ring fingers used for triads...
  13. I'm not so sure about merging Reason and FL Studio forums, but I'm sure it wouldn't be a huge deal. Everything else looks good to me.
  14. That there is indeed, here's what you do: Start up a new FL Project and load up the plugins you want the template for (ex. Maschine) Now go in and link them in the standard way, but when the linking dialog pops up make sure "Omni" is lit up. After linking everything in this way, delete the plugins from the project (unless you want them in the template too) Save the project and put it somewhere in the Projects>Templates folder. Now when starting up a new project start it up from that template. You can even customize starting channels, mixer track names, anything really that you want to always start with. If you deleted the plugins after linking then when you add them again the links should still exist.
  15. Don't hesitate to ask for help, but when we're trying to troubleshoot we need as much information as possible.
  16. Where did you put the reverb on then? Start up a new project, load in the samples and see if it's still there.
  17. I was more referring in investing in some pay-for samples yes.
  18. Text adventures... that's the real turn based stuff.
  19. Vibrato is something you'd likely want to have added in the instrument, not through effects, you may want to invest in some instruments once you get the hang of things.
  20. Make sure you've configured the midi out controls properly. Right click on a knob > configure, then CC# 11. Alternatively, yes you can just automate the volume knob if you want, but if EWQLSO has a built in expression control, use that instead.
  21. M-Audio makes good stuff, I've got an axiom 61 from them, the key rig sounds like it fits your specifications well. Don't put a lot of hope into the Live Lite, but it is fun to fool around with.
  22. I don't really bother going through free stuff as much anymore, my entire studio set-up was pretty much freeware at one point, but I've replace most of it with solid payware products so I don't really need anything else at the moment unless it does something truly unique and useful.
  23. Apparently they couldn't have been bothered to come up with a name that at least vaguely describes its purpose.
