The hate was gonna be pretty inevitable in a thread like this, lol. I personally thought the combat was pretty fun, though I didn't like the loss of the old health pickup system. But my god, that story! The worst part is that most of the blame for the atrocious story goes to Yoshio Sakamoto, and he's been involved in the series since Super Metroid, so I can't quite figure out how he could've fallen so far from grace. I was content with cutting the Prime series off at three titles, but Other M's plot really made me wish for a Prime 4 just to wash the taste out of my mouth.

I wasn't sure if anybody had gotten around to doing this yet, but I went ahead and created our yearly OCR block just in case. For anyone who's already booked their rooms, head to the Block Request Form, fill it out, and put "OverClocked ReMix" for the block name. Let's get an entire hallway going on again this year! In the form to create the block, I technically named it "OverClocked ReMix (OCR)", so I imagine if anyone puts "OCR" in the block name, whoever handles the block registration this year will know what you're talking about.

I'm planning on getting it; when I heard a 3DS title was coming out that was a spiritual successor to Guardian Heroes, I couldn't resist.

Actually no; I gave it back to Tanya. Kaiser clearly didn't want it, but she asked too nicely for me to resist. I think Kaiser's other friend might have kept that one though.

Well, that was pretty fun! Though with no timer, I had a tendency to play it safe on that second level and just keep luring the ghosts back to that first light to clear them all out of my way so I could explore. Not sure if that's what the level designers intended. Also, the dual soundtrack is pretty awesome; can't wait to hear how the entire thing turns out.

NP has actually gotten really good ever since Future picked it up. Super sad to see it go.

I remember the XG tracks sounding much better than that as far as volume levels and panning went, but I was running the S-YXG100 softsynth at the time instead of the 70 that came with the game. Maybe that had something to do with it. Though that would admittedly be awkward, for MIDI files normalized for the wrong synth to be packaged with the game.

You WILL be fighting me in Power Stone on Dreamcast this time instead of just watching.

Beat Arkham Asylum myself a few days ago, though I haven't touched the challenge maps. Amazing game, well worth the $10 or less I paid for it during that sale. XD

The original PC port's MIDIs combined with the Yamaha XG synth they were designed to be played on actually sounded better than the original game's samples by a landslide IMO, with the exception of the missing OWA lyrics. But who knows if the versions in this new port were recorded using that synth or not (for that matter, there's much better sample sets nowadays anyway).

I picked up Batman Arkham Asylum (the only game I owned on Games for Windows Live so now I can uninstall that piece of trash) and Arkham City, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Sonic Generations, and L.A. Noire. I was also gonna pick up Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Grand Theft Auto IV, but then realized I had already bought them at some point and had no idea when. Gotta love Steam sales.

SIXTO FORCED ME TO REVIEW It's interesting to go back to these older tracks and see how well they stand up musically. Good stuff never gets old though, and I'm really digging the atmosphere in this one. The genre switchup caught me be surprise, but both halves of the track are interesting to listen to. But sorry, those movie clips are blurgh.

Yoshi's Island the original is fantastic. Yoshi's Island the GBA port... not so much.

This soundtrack is fantastic. The game itself is breaking my brain. I can tell it will be fun eventually, but as someone who never played Tetrisphere, it's going to take me a good long while to actually get good at playing this.

Well, in all technicality, the show never even mentioned WHAT Iroh is. He could theoretically not be related to Zuko at all (though I seriously doubt that). We're probably not gonna find out for sure until next week.
