  1. I shouldn't have to do this, but Bumpage. Last week there were a ton of decent DS games to look into. Mario Party DS, Bomberman Story DS (the first good non-traditional Bomberman game I've played), and FF XII Renevant Wings. I don't know what to think about that one; anyone have it yet? I also just got Looney Tunes: Duck Amuck. It's not as good as I thought it would be...
  2. I love the collage nature of the NWG's face. Edit: In general, where's the OCR-tan love?
  3. I too knew him through his work--as will past and future OCReMixers surely. He will be missed by all.
  4. Canned Judge lol. And yes, we own Sweet and Salty Tears® Right-click-save-as for a bonus lol.
  5. The Mario series has been doing that for a long time. Take Yoshi in SMW or stepping onto land in one of SM64's water levels.
  6. Even I need to say: Holy shit.
  7. You mean the Earthworm Jim track?
  8. $90 for Tengen Tetris on NES? I snagged mine off of eBay for less than half that. Anyone have those pics of McVaffe's room (I think that's who it was) with that big picture of Mario from SMB1 on the wall? Maybe I'm thinking of 2 different rooms...
  9. I've never heard of it, but I'll check it out. Some of my favorite DS games, like Izuna, have been under the radar. In other news, I (reluctantly) subscribe to the hmv.co.uk e-newsletter and they recently ran this graphic--staring Nicole Kidman no less: Since the image is in tables, the above pic is a screen grab but here's the original message. lol. horizontal flipping ftw.
  10. Hm... Maybe I'm derailing the topic, but every time I drive past my local GameStop (it's on a main street so I do it almost daily) the Wii demo kiosk--with Galaxy on it--has been empty. You don't even have to ask the counter for the WiiMote and Nunchuck anymore, as they're tethered to the kiosk. This makes me a very saaad q-pa Are you guys finding this where you are? Edit: Hm, I wonder if it will have an influence on future platformers.Modern-day platformers like Ratchet & Clank and Sly; for some reason I can't really see them being influneced by this game...
  11. What they said. This is your birthday, so we're going to help you rock it, bitch. Edit: Where'd the rolleyes smiley go?
  12. Amen. But this is also true.Hmm...
  13. Yeah, that's what I meant; sorry.
  14. I personally am very excited about this game. Considering the Wii is a "souped-up Gamecube" the graphics are really amazing, and the gameplay is just what the doctor ordered IMO. Hard to believe the team that made the quickly-forgotten DK Jungle Beat could pull this off.
  15. Yeah, it's been brewing for awhile (it was mentioned several times during the Emmys I believe) and Jon Stewart mentioned it at the end of Thursday's Daily Show (hence this week is reruns ) I know the main thing they're asking for is a share of revenues from Internet and other non-traditional mediums. Corporate bastards...
  16. I was up to 75 stars when I lost my DS and that game. After buying a new one I didn't have the motivation to do it all over again at first, but now I'm starting to get into it again. I toyed around with how many stars I could get before defeating the Big Bob-Omb (save the one behind the gate, I found it impossible to get any other of the 1st course's stars without him), and getting the other stars out of their prescribed order. Even with the control, that game is just too hard to hate. Edit: Allright! New OCR tracks on the go, anyone? Edit2: On the topic of DSOrganize, am I the only one that sometimes experiences freezes when playing back SNES .spc files?
  17. Haven't started the third one yet, but my favorite localization moment from the first 2 was making the Stell Samaurai's slogan "For Great Justice." Dropped my stylus behind the bed over that one. I can't wait either. The reason they didn't do anything like that again was that the first 3 PW (or Gyakuten Saiban) games were originally released for the GBA in Japan in 2001, 2002 and 2004. I've been poking around those ROMs for the hell of it lately; the experience on the DS is definitely much better.
  18. *let's do what I alwasys do...* Happy birthday, man. I continue to love your stuff. Keep up the
  19. Don't forget Wario! It seems--as South Park has done in the past--like they were going for that "mock-epic" feeling. What with the music and the suspenseful climax of part II. "We must nuke... our imaginations. 8O" Also, was it just me or did the definition of imagination in part III paralell with the definition of torture being argued around today? I thought it was that they touched penises, no?
  20. The zoom-in on the nipple and crotch is kind of disturbing. Edit: here's an English-subtitled version of the same trailer:
  21. Wow. I never thought I'd see this in my lifetime. all
  22. I'd be afraid to play stylus-heavy games like Zelda and Starfox Command without a screen protector. They're full of fast swiping movements and I tend to press my writing utensils hard.
  23. It's 1342. Ha. One site has ROM #1342 as "New Touch Game Party (Europe)(Independent)" and my other has it as "Gyakuten Saiban 3 (J)". It's mass chaos!
  24. It still isn't on the two sites that I go to; what's the ROM number associated with it?--Not that it really matters, since I'm still working on the 2nd game. Had to start over again after I lost my DS and flashcard last week. Edit: And yeah supremespleen, Halo DS looked pretty cool. Maybe someday the demo will be leaked...
  25. Happy B-day you.
