  1. Yahtzee had some clever quips this week. I enjoyed this one.
  2. You're a man of many words, aren't you Garde? That's what your back-to-back walls-o-text seem to indicate, lol.
  3. Too true. While a couple of Mario Party's are good (and 3 is great), most of them feel "phoned in" by Hudson, year after year. Even 8 was a total mediocre fest...And what possessed them to make DK a board space now instead of a playable character?!
  4. Amen brother. I'd be happy with an expanded version of GX with Mario Kart's lag-free online. More tracks, more custom parts for car-making, and good online. Nintendo has my $50.
  5. You know, he wasn't being completely series. He was exaggerating a point just to be funny. Part of his goal is to entertain his listeners, and that's how he does it. Although I wouldn't be surprised to find out he is a Nintendo fanboy...He does show an exhausting amount of support for them.
  6. Wow, this topic really took off! I'm glad I could promote such philosophical discussion! I too noticed that his style seemed to emulate Yahtzee, and contained an unnecessary amount of swearing. But can we really tell if he was just speaking his mind, or if this was truly his intention? What I most appreciated about his rant was when he attacked sports games and their horrible lack of depth and creativity. I've always wondered, should sports titles even be considered games? After all, aren't games supposed to give you a world where the impossible is possible? Fantastic worlds, original characters, and stuff like that? I can throw a football in real life. Why do I need to play a game where I can do the same thing? But can I shoot futuristic aliens in real life? No, and I never will be able to. Videogames let me do that. It really makes me wonder whether sports games are necessary, period.
  7. IDK, its pretty hard to top Mario Kart DS (ignoring snakeing, however hard that may be). I think it was a great culmination of the series, and its the first one to do Nintendo wi-fi right.
  8. I think this guy makes a very good case. Besides that, he's very blunt and easy to pay attention to. He doesn't barf out a bunch of cheery fluff. He gets down to the friggen' point. But do you agree with his overall opinion? What's your take on this?
  9. while I agree that it would be more beneficial for gamer's cause if they just stopped going to his movies vs. signing a petition, you overlooked (or didn't know about) one thing: Sonic the Hedgehog's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Brawl was either in part, or wholly due to his popularity in Japanese and American polls. Sakurai himself stated this in the interview between him and Nintendo Power (its in their latest issue). I'm pretty sure that the polls Sakurai is talking about are of the online variety, correct? It goes to show that enough fans can make a difference.
  10. Has Sonic Team ever made a 3-D adventure game that was successful? Not including the Sonic Adventure series, I mean?
  11. There's a difference between game appeal, and mascot appeal. Sonic has great skill in the later.
  12. Wha-huh-SAY WHAT?!?!?!? GOSH FRIGGEN' DANG IT!!!!!!!! Me and my dad ALWAYS played offline GP mode together ...First battle mode and now this?!?! I'm gonna find the man who did this, and choke him with his own large intestine!!!
  13. Shhhhhhh! Think good thoughts before I break down! No lag online...no lag online...no lag online...no lag onlinenolagonlinenolagonlinenolagonlinenolagonlineNOLAGONLINE!!!!!!!
  14. Quoted for truth. This really is what it comes to. I think we can all agree that Sonic games don't have the mass appeal of Mario, Zelda, or Halo games. Who's fault is that? Who can say? It probably isn't anybodies' fault. I'm still on the supporting side, but whatever.
  15. I'm really likin' this, and I'm not looking to "knock boots" anytime soon...
  16. While I am glad that someone in the Mario Kart Wii's development team got wi-fi right, I'm still unhappy. I would gladly trade MKWii's wi-fi for Brawl's. Brawl is the game that deserved lag-free wi-fi. I really, really wish Sakurai would have just gotten it right. What was the point of all those agonizing delays if they didn't fix wi-fi? But oh well, no lag on MKWii still makes me very happy.
  17. You're not alone dude. My views almost completely mirror yours. Heck, there were parts about Sonic 360 that I really liked. Its too bad it was all chocked to death by horrible gameplay design choices.
  18. *Stops weeping, looks at Atma's post* I've almost forgotten about Battle mode now. Awesome!!! I only wonder why Brawl couldn't get the same treatment...
  19. ^This, which, for me, is strange. The only think I don't quite agree with Yahtzee on is the Travis hatred. I rather like the guy, when he isn't a cussing, anime-wannabe. His scottish impression is unexpected and full of lols.
  20. I'm pretty sure you're right. I've felt the same way. And that video is a strange one. Why can't I do that?
  21. So, you're telling me my worst fears have been realized...? WHAT A FRIGGEN' WASTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excuse me... *Weeps softly in corner*
  22. Jeez with all the negativity in this thread...Everyone knows the Sonic Advance games, Sonic Rush games, and Sonic and the Secret Rings were good games. If not good, at least they were better than average. Assuming the werewolf mechanic doesn't dominate the gameplay, this should be a great game for Sonic.
  23. I'm going to be monitoring this thread more closely now, thanks to Drack.
  24. 1) Sonic 3 & Knuckles 2) Kirby Superstar 3) Mega Man 2 4) Majora's Mask 5) Super Mario RPG
  25. This game is great. However, I don't like the free missions. Its too easy for me to get slightly tapped and lose. And WTFr at Letz Shake?!
