this song just gets better and better every time I hear it, from the irresistibly catchy intro all the way to the punch-you-in-the-face awesome ending. Zircon will have a hard time outdoing himself with this one, but I know he will, and I can't wait to see him do it.

i got the book yesterday when my local Borders opened, read half of it in the parking lot, went home and read the rest of it. I absolutely love the Joss Whedon blurb on the back. I wholeheartedly agree.

hasn't it been attempts to innovate that have damaged this franchise the most? I mean, look at all the pathetic 3d attempts they've made (maybe 1 or 2 of which have been so much as passable). If you have a good formula, stick to it and improve on its shortcomings. Attempts to make OMG AWESOME NEW FEATURES IN EVERY NEW TITLE is exactly what destroyed the Sonic franchise.

i stopped playing around 6.6 and that was like 2 years ago there was almost no similarity then and it's probably several editions beyond 6 by now

... what. There was a thread about the new MGS game sometime last year, but now an official trailer has been released as of E3 2010. Where did the Tactical Espionage go? Is it Raiden or Grey Fox? How much more ridiculously impractical will the new futuristic cyborg-ish weapons get? Will there be any recurring characters, and are the Patriots still involved somehow, despite all that's happened? Will the beloved cardboard box make an appearance? Will we FINALLY get to slice Hideo Kojima into tiny bite-size chunks? All these questions will be hopefully be answered.

any gameplay trailers where captain america doesn't win? it's starting to look like a rehash of the original mvc, especially the damage balance between characters
