  1. DAMN! Holy crapmoly, is this agressive or what? This is some powerful stuff. Holy hot damn - this passed the 'in-game-play' test with flying colours. Solid stuff - This for reasons foreign to me screams Sonata Arctica - get some live keytar in there and you're my hero for eternity. Incredible work! Angry, jugular-stomping powerwin.
  2. D is for Double Dragon 2: The Revenge If that's a repeat, D is for Destruction Derby (N64)
  3. I just did...I probably will...what the HELL was that?? Well, whatever that was, it sure beats doing my readings.
  4. Okay, so lemme give you the story before I ask the question: It was Friday. I live in an apartment notorious for students, and the landlord was out. You can imagine what happened. I felt like I lived in residence again. It was awful. While that tremendous amount of suck was ongoing, a friend sent me a link to a radio station called Bluemars/Cryosleep. Between it and Limbik Frequencies, my Friday was made tolerable. I sat in my apartment while the noise went all about; I made tea, listened to these stations, and was happy. My question is: does anyone a) enjoy this sort of thing; understand Internet radio and how to put it onto an MP3 player (I somehow doubt this is possible...); c) Any other stations with ambient electronica playing; and d) artists in that field to recommend. I've always been an ambient fan - Boards of Canada is a must for any MP3 player I own - but this Bluemars/Cryosleep takes that to a whole new level! I've convinced myself that I like it, and I'd like to find other stations. Most of the crap on Google is either experimental/atonal, BoC clones, or just without variety...
  5. Ahahahahahahahaha!! Oh, man..Never gonna look at Rosalina the same way again...wrong, wrong, Wrong, WRONG - but...so awesome. Can't wait for the live sax edition!
  6. My Must-Own List for SNES: Starfox F-Zero Pilotwings Kirby Superstar EarthBound Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars Gradius III Super R-Type Super Mario World Super Mario All-Stars (esp. if you don't own a NES) Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island Zombies ate my Neighbours Megaman X - X3 Illusion of Gaia Goof Troop (not kidding - fun as hell game) Lemmings Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past Super Metroid Donkey Kong Country 1-3 Super Star Wars (and kin) Super Indiana Jones The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse Aladdin These are the games I have experience with - what others say are totally probably maybe cool, too - just adding/reaffirming some old standbys.
  7. It better be, or I'm blowing up Japan, Geno-style.

Ah, I kid - OCR does no wrong, especially musically. And you've got solid talent on this album.

  8. THANK YOU! I'm kinda sad that this would otherwise get ignored. I'm downloading this artwork like a fiend - I see no reason why those people who worked their butts off should get no recognition. This is some amazing work and it deserves to be known and shared. Thank you, Liontamer!
  9. halc does it again! For whatever reason, these tunes really get me - and this is no exception. I love the synth work - top-notch stuff. Mark another one on the halc downloads from OCR count!
  10. Thanks for the link, man! I'll be firing up each one when I got the time. As in, working on my bloody paper for Russian Studies Post-Stalin. There's only so much you can write on Solzhenitsyn without music.

  11. Oh, dude. Clearly that's how it went down - cryptic message in Genesis, hard to find, but it's there. The Sistine Chapel has it all wrong. I'm raising funds to go to Italy and do it right this time, with King Harkinian and that dumb-looking Link.

Oh, can't bloody wait for Serious Monkey Business, by the way. That's gonna be awesome! Thanks for going through the trouble of making it, alongside Bahamut. You have no idea what kind of nostalgia that's gonna bring to my day. I'm stoked!

  12. Very true, very true. I'm thinking of PS3 when Tales of Vesperia is confirmed for it in N. America. Tales is the only reason I'm joining the new generation (except for the Wii, which is my family's machine, despite the fact I bought all the stuff for it...) I might get another Wii, though. Miss out on a lot of stuff, but get Nintendo's roster...
  13. Three totally worthy games...still, I understand the problem. The effort that goes into these things is MASSIVE. Like, hard-core mecha-extreme. And it's plainly obvious when you listen to an OCR project versus a random one that the OCR project is a labour of both love and some serious skills. At least we have DKC2 to look forward to...I wonder if the Milky Way Wishes people could all just throw what they've got on the table. I don't know how far the album has progressed, but, if it's songs short, maybe with enough requests someone will take it up? Bit-by-bit, the project, though not so much a project, could just be limped onto OCR, not as an official deal, but at least to give people like Binjovi here a little more credit for their undoubtedly amazing work. I mean, Ska Buffet is in the works...there may yet be hope!
  14. DAMN! That's freakin' awesome, Binjovi! Totally a desktop now. Thanks for sharing, man!
  15. Neat counter melody! Dunno quite why, but I'm getting a distinct Zombies ate my Neighbours vibe outta this. I'm listening on shitty equipment, so I can;t quite do it justice. It passes the replay test. Nicely done, old bean!
  16. Thanks, man! I love the pic. Found it on my comp - no idea how/when it got there.

  17. Hey, man. Outta curiousity, where'd your songs for Milky Way Wishes go? Do you have any others? I love your mixes (the Kirby ones especially)!

  18. I'm listening to Limbik Frequencies. It eats babies on fire with atomically-powered chainsaw chopsticks of win. And the chopsticks are on THE MOON.
  19. Good news indeed! I love even the WIP - can't wait for the finished product! This is a shit-ton of imagination, right here. Lyrics are priceless, too. Judges better take this - I'm stoked for this! I've always loved the Kirby soundtrack - just lettin' you know I can't wait.
  20. Mkay - a definite improvement! Thanks for pitching that stacking intro. Neko makes a point - to make sure (not that I don't trust Neko - I missed it the first time), I plugged in my headphones...and...yeah. You've got tuning problems at 1:43. Those chimes, too, but I'm not sure I mind them. I'll let you know when I re (re, re) listen to it. You've done some good work thus far - now, you gotta make it your own. If you liked Gigi D'Agostino, give some of his ideas a try. Bla Bla Bla works because of the vocal samples he uses to make the song - the Riddle is another good tune. Find an electronica artist that works for you, and mimic them. I'm not sure if this works for this sort of thing, but I got my trumpet sound by mimicing people I like (Maynard Ferguson, Bill Chase, Bill Watrous [trombone, I know], Louis Armstrong...you get the idea). Because I can't do it exactly like they do, I find my own style by mimicing and seeing what happens. Clear up your tuning problems and just listen to people for a while. I don't care who - Coburn, BoC, Mu-Ziq, Bola, Basshunter - whatever floats your boat. Find their style - something that really clicks with you. Try to stick that feeling into your tune. Keep it aquatic, if you know what I mean. To be completely honest, I think this'd make an awesome ambient track...I'd have a tough time dancing it up. For now, try to find a style, mimic it with your own twists, remember the environment, and clear up your tuning troubles. This is an improvement over your last track! Neko's right about repitition, too - try to change up your chord structure. Don't leave it bare, if you can. At the same time, don't clutter the soundscape. It's a delicate balance, but you do have to put some meat on the track. Good luck!
  21. There...I shrunk it. Better? I think? I'unno...

  22. That's what I figured! Besides, Parliament is prorogued, anyways. So their 'wa(n)king hours' are spent doing stupid stuff. I, meanwhile, will enjoy a release-day vacation!
  23. This was declared like 5 minutes ago, and I'm already stoked. In fact, methinks I'mma go fire up the old SNES for some Super Metroid action! Can't wait to hear this!
  24. http://www.baddudesmusic.com/ At least, I'm fairly sure that's right. It's a collection of dudes who remix stuff. Check out Zombies Rocked my Neighbours.
  25. Man - this is probably (almost certainly) a pass. It's freakin' awesome, dude! Someone down there (too lazy to find it) said this sounds like the Pet Shop Boys - I'd say this is better. I honestly can't think of any critique, so all I'll say is - I can't wait to see this on the front page!
