  1. See, I miss the music perhaps MORE than I miss the hand-drawn animation, though I suppose I miss both. Count me in the apparently rare minority of folks who think the Lion King was poop, because in my opinion Alan Menken and Howard Ashman/Tim Rice were the absolute shit - Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and especially Aladdin all had epic soundtracks with great lyrics. THAT's what I miss, and it's been gone for quite awhile. No one shoots like Gaston.
  2. Yeah, man. Definitely doin' it. I'd like to add them, yes. That would mean they would get Artist profile pages, but wouldn't have ReMixer "status" until an individual ReMix was accepted on the site, creating a distinction but still giving credit where credit is due, which is a good thing. Life has truly been kicking my ass lately or I'd have more of this shizz done
  3. Don't say that around Larry... he's been rockin' a mean T.Hawk on HDR for quite awhile now...
  4. Looks nice. I'm gonna stick to my guns though that, with each new site that starts and tries to be all-inclusive and cover the WHOLE community, etc., etc., all that's really accomplishing is creating more and more sites, i.e. the opposite of the desired effect.
  5. http://www.sirlin.net/blog/2009/2/22/a-few-things-about-street-fighter-4.html That sums it up for me, so far.
  6. Agreed; this is one of those suggestions that does seem like a perfectly fine idea until you think about it for a couple minutes and play it out a bit...
  7. We were recently honored to be announced as guests at both SGC 2009 and San-Japan 2009, so we'll be remembering the Alamo and invading the Great State of Texas TWICE this year! Our salsa was NOT made in New York City! Details (Please Share with Friend & Enemy Alike): ScrewAttack Gaming Convention 2009 July 3-5, 2009 Dallas, Texas http://www.screwattack.com - Register San Japan 2.X Japanese Culture & Anime Convention August 14-16, 2009 San Antonio, Texas http://www.san-japan.org - Register For a good time, make it out to Texas once OR twice this year and catch us doing our thing - amidst many other, hopefully superior forms of entertainment...
  8. What did you think? Post your opinion of this ReMix.
  9. Diggin' it. Appears to be fairly deep, though only time will tell... haven't read the manual yet so I'm just playing SF2 style at the moment. PSN, "djpretzel", if anyone's down. Don't care for the j-popish intro track but overall the score seems hot. Gameplay-wise, the jumping game seems radically different... I hear people complaining about moves being sluggish, but honestly everything on the ground seems fast enough, but in the air... wow, kicks sometimes come out REALLY late. It seems very difficult to kick early/preemptively, and of course, SF3-style throws mean I suck in that arena. But overall, it's growing on me. More and more it seems like the fighting game I'll be playing for the next few years, learning more, etc. In other words, it seems like a plausible and viable successor to 3 and 2, which was the biggest challenge ANY 3d game would have had. Load times are bad plus they seem very quiet... I would have thought looped music would be a no-brainer... Love all the options/tweakability. Still gonna be playing HDR quite a bit, and feel like I'd be saying that even if we weren't involved in the score, but SF4, on initial inspection, seems pretty damn tight.
  10. Haven't heard this from anyone else and can't repeat it myself. Just in the forums, or everywhere? Could be cache or ISP related, i.e. specific to you...
  11. Thanks... hopefully reCAPTCHA™ is our saviour...

  12. NOTICE: Our forums have been upgraded to vBulletin version 3.8. At least initially, many of the new features have been disabled, since we just want to make sure everything's working properly. On member profile pages the ability to add friends and post visitor messages (I know, big whoop... but could be useful at times) should work properly. Please report any issues here, specifically with regards to errors and permissions (things you should be able to do and can't AND vice versa). When posting errors please include the following: The exact error message (screenshot if possible!) Your browser/version and OS/version What you were trying to do Anything else you think is relevant Thanks all - we'd been dragging our feet on this for a long while and finally I just decided that we need to move forward even if things hadn't been 110% tested. Hopefully that was the right call - your assistance is appreciated!
  13. I'm considering removing the www, but the number sticks - it ensures links still work on artist renames/typos, etc.
  14. Definitely diggin' it so far; been waiting for your return for awhile now
  15. I'll put another vote in for Acoustic Legends, though I do like some of the patches that come with Colossus as well.
  16. No, man. Not cool. YOU can make the decision to post your stuff there, but we don't endorse that site, GH, or anyone that is basically hosting pirated game OSTs en masse. I've heard the defense that some of them are out of print, which might be viable if it were JUST limited to those OSTs, but they host everything, and OCR can't simultaneously stand for honoring game music and game music composers and allow free pimpage of what amount to "VGM Warez" sites on our forums. I disagree with your decision personally, but respect your independence. I don't respect pimping it here. As a side note, if you want OCR to host it instead, we might be able to.
  17. I DEFINITELY intend to add an option to filter and list ONLY ReMixers or ONLY composers in the future, which hopefully would address this concern.
  18. Pre-beard I got John Cusack a couple times. When I worked at the library & had long hair some woman said I looked, and I quote, "Just like that Leonardo DiCarpio"... This Joshua Jackson guy, he looks like ME, not the other way around. Coppin' my scene vibe and groomin' habits. For real.
