  1. Dunno your specific taste in games Pieter, but if you're a normally constituted gamer, it's impossible to dislike Bastion.

Visuals are impressive, gameplay is solid and it's a lot of fun to play.

The narrative drive is excellent and like I said the soundtrack is fantastic.

It's just a really good game. So have fun with this one. ;)

  2. Rexy, the guy didn't say LD was better than tSoS, he just said that he personally didn't liked one album but enjoyed another more. See? So because an album got multiple mixposts and you're proud of being on it, people shouldn't be entitled to formulate their own opinion about it? (Not trying to antagonize here btw, just trying to understand your point of view)
  3. Little warning for Steam users: Bastion requires Xna 3.1 installed. Othewise it won't start at all (even if you have xna 4.0) There is no mention of this anywhere in the system requirements, so there has been some confusion here and there. Watched a buddy of mine playing it earlier, and it's a really fun and fantastic looking game. One of the best use of narrative element I've seen in a long time, and the soundtrack is awesome.
  4. Hurry and level up to 100 already! Have a good one Uncle Stevo.
  5. Ah, Tenchu. This brings me back... Pretty good interpretation of the source as usual, very jazzy and soothing. Nice work on percussions dynamics and overall atmosphere. My only grippe would be that the remix has a bit of muddiness to it. The low rumble from kicks and bass is a bit overwhelming at times. I totally get how you've preserved the ominous feeling of the slap-bass present in the source. But in this case, I'd advise rolling-off unnecessary lo-freq and boosting the mid-highs/highs freq for more clarity. Keep it up Ruku. You're getting better at your craft by the day. PS: You should really consider putting together a compilation album of your works.
  6. Stevo brings the ska! What else could people ask for? Intro is very close the original. It's not a bad thing, but I was expecting maybe something more suprising from you guys... Arrangement starts off with a lot of energy and never let go until the end. This song is a rocket-propelled-muffin-goodness-for-dem-ears! The timing of vocals in the first verse could be a tiny bit tighter (1:00 and 1:10 comes to mind), but aside from that, performance is great overall. Chorus sections are impecable, both vocal and instrumental-wise, and are highly enjoyable (the vocal break at 2:03 was fantastic). The Muffins once again bring the touch of brass-sexiness we all know and love, and as usual the guitar-brass blend offers some interesting contrasts. You've added a lot to an already delicious cake that I'm sure many are looking forward to enjoy in its final version. Also, Let it be known that the world can never have enough Overclocked Plaid Muffins. Therefore, we hereby demand a full OCPM album! And, ^ QFE.
  7. Where you by any chance beta-tester on the game? Also, .
  8. You have completed a great ReMux and prooved the justice of our culture. Conglaturations JT!
  9. Just wanted to say, this one sounds fantastic. The idea of designing an instrument with a door is genius.Overall these are some truly unique and ineed epic sounding libraries. What more they're offering very interesting sound-design possibilities at a great price. I hope you'll eventually create a dedicated package with all these, like PS Symphobia. This market hasn't been extensively covered yet, so it can be a successful venture with enough publicity. People interested in unique ambience geared and cinematic production tools should definitely check these out.
  10. Lol, apparently, Squeenix just got equipped with a sense of humor: This poster can apparently be found in a room of the game. Anyone else surprised that Squeenix could be making fun of their beloved franchise?
  11. My thoughts exactly. Well multitools are back, but there's no more lockpicks though. Speaking of which, a short doc on the sound design was just released.Featuring composer Michael McCann, sound driector Steve Szczepkowski and actor Elias Toufexis, who voices Adam Jensen in the game. Also, DXHR just received another stellar review/score. Quoted for emphasis.
  12. Just bumping this thread to inform people that Bastion is coming to Steam on august 16th.
  13. I sure don't recall Deus Ex having any classes... Were you refering to Project Snowblind? Yeah, but my guess is that the DB shotgun in question might have a very high damage output from the get go. And the Linebacker grenade laucher might prove useful against large bosses (as apparently there will be some). Lastly, the AUD is definitely gonna come in handy for people that don't want to invest into hacking augmentations.
  14. Look alive! You've got incoming wip feedback at sector 1-1-4. Deploy your bionic arm and grab it.
  15. Yeah, seems like the good stuff is bundled with the . They really went all out with that one.Though I'm not sure what impact the additional gear will really have over the course of the game...
  16. QFE. Gondamin (Junko Tamiya) was the shit back in the days. The arrangements made by Simon Viklund for BC ReArmed, the soundtrack from 2009 sequel by Jamie Christopherson, Erik Thunberg and co., as well as the kickass remixes by Machinae Supremacy stand as proof of that. Works for me Juan.
  17. In any other circumstance, I would wholeheartedly agree with you Gollgagh, but in this case, there was a 3. Early in the developpment cycle, before the game was rebranded as 'Human Revolution', it was known as Deus Ex 3. .
  18. That's some seriously shaddy-shit going-on here, sadly... Let's hope these legal issue(s) can be resolved without further digital-bloodshed. I'm rooting for you guys to be able to continue doing your thing, and to keep pushing this clever, fun and informative show to new heights. Cheers to the Extra-Credits team.
  19. I'm pretty sure The Coop, Doulifée and ProtoDome are all great pixel-artists.
  20. ^ QFT. This sentence should be added under the OCR logo at the top of each page.
  21. Cause ...it's the third entry, perhaps? You know how old-fashioned people are. ;P Also, first reviews are in, and the game apparently received some stellar scores: -PC Gamer gave the game a 94 -OPM gave it a 8/10 -OXM went for the perfect score: 10 out of 10 August 23/26 cannot come too soon.
  22. Ah, thanks for the info sir. The medley itself is pretty cool, especially considering it's a 10+ yrs old mix. Glad this comment made me discover this hidden gem from the past, and I hope others will give it a listen too.
