  1. This is the kind of ReMix Bowser expects and demands. Power, aggression, coolness and badassitude. The little jazz break early on seemed odd, but somehow fit in, which was interesting to me. Not saying anything bad, just wasn't expecting it, but glad to hear it in there. This is one hell of a collab and a ReMix I will have on my playlist forever. So good!
  2. See, now, this is the kind of ReMix that is magic to me. I can hear every bit of the original, but this arrangement takes it and reimagines it in a way that makes it fresh and different. This is where I love the balance. And props for the mix of acoustics and the tropical party section. Perfect mix to chill out and enjoy life with.
  3. I've always loved the misty cave vibe SM64 gave the old underground theme, and to hear it taken in this downtempo'ed, beat heavy way. Has a little bit of mystery feeling in the undertones while the beat keeps everything exciting, especially later on in the ReMix. I thought that was cool and makes me enjoy this ReMix just as much, if not more, than the blue coin version. Great job, Sole Signal.
  4. Count me in with the group that enjoys the style being used for this. Napalm Man and ElecMan seem to have extremely mashable themes, so hearing them come together this seamlessly isn't a shock, but it is fun to hear. I, too, was expecting a louder, harder take on the themes from the name and because it's Willrock, but this peacefully rocking arrangement is terrific anyway, so well done.
  5. Wonderful work in setting up the atmosphere of this ReMix and making it really sound pop with that Middle Eastern sound, while pumping it up with some electronic energy. Love it.
  6. Here's a game I've heard a bit about but never got around to playing. Voice samples were great for this kind of arrangement, although I can understand why some wouldn't like it as much. There are things that you could pick at, but for an early DJP piece, I'd rather enjoy it for the parts that were awesome, mainly the main melody in my opinion.
  7. Despite it's age, I've really taken a liking to the arrangement and sound of this one. Kicking it into a different gear after the third minute for a bit was a nice touch that I liked and I love the atmosphere of this entire mix. I honestly never loved the prelude theme itself, but this is a nice step up that I can get behind.
  8. Light and gorgeous, this is exactly what a beautiful lake should sound like. The signature change was a nice way to continue the mix while adding a new element to it. Kinda reminds me at some points what Lake Hylia would sound like if they tried to add some of the "beauty" workings in terms of arrangement and instrumentation of Dire Dire Docks into it. That's probably just me hearing it, but eh, it's a compliment anyway. Wonderful ReMix.
  9. The beginning funk jam alone was terrific to listen to, especially that effect at around 1:25-1:29, but then the dubstep comes in and everything goes into overdrive. The "Hey, Listen!" sound clip being used in a way that doesn't get annoying is a pretty good feat, so props alone for that. I've said before that Windmill Hut/Song of Storms was my favorite OoT source, and hearing it with his beat is hot. Really digging this.
  10. Oh hell yeah, if that opening isn't enough to get you pumped, you're going to need a shot of adrenaline straight in the heart right now. Such hard-hitting rockin' energy abound, and it's reigned in by an amazing driven guitar riff. This was made for action and I love it. The break at 2:22 was perfect for giving everyone a chance to cool down a tad before going right back into the blistering rock at the end. Awesome stuff, really liked this.
  11. Corridor of Time, one of the themes I've heard on OCR so much that I know it without having had much experience with the game it came from. But that's not a bad thing, because just about every take is different and interesting or at the least enjoyable to listen to, and Argle's take is no different. A great ReMix to listen to with great production. Very nice.
  12. Chopin-esque piano melody driven ReMix of Wrinkly/Peach 64. To which after listening to, I can only say awesome! So peaceful and beautiful, I could easily drift off to sleep listening to this if I was tired enough. I always felt that this theme had elegant potential, but it’s proven here. Great job.
  13. Well, the age does show (which is understandable), and the melody repeats quite a bit, but truthfully, with the source as short as it is, it's hard to do much with it beyond the arrangement. It has lots of energy and enough fun samples to make it worth the listen, but other than that, there's not much else to say.
  14. While I do agree with some of the critiques including the midi sounds and repetition in the first half of the ReMix, I do have to say that it is a decent listen. At least there were some changes near the end of the mix, but I would have done a tiny bit of trimming in some areas. Especially like the opening build-up and the overall tense yet energetic vibe I get from this, almost like it was fit for a chase or running bit. Not bad, I can see where I would have loved it when it was originally posted.
  15. Okay, those vocal effects got 100% of my attention when I first heard this back when BnR got released. Between the dark and powerful arrangement being coupled with the vocals, and then having those vocals getting mixed up themselves, this is an awesome ReMix that I've been listening to for a while now, and will continue to enjoy for a long time now. Deia, OA, bravo!
  16. Loving the mix title. This is a little ball of fun, isn't it? Truly something that can make someone happy by listening to it, I'm sure. Some chip, some bounce, a little bit of clock SFX in the beginning and near the end, lots of cool additions and arrangement ideas that make this work. Considering that everyone is saying that it's bit close to the original in certain aspect, I may have to check out this OST soon. Very nice.
  17. Humorous and dark, like it really is something that could fit in a Beetlejuice OST nowadays. It's cool to hear Sixto continue to rock out while adding little details to make everything that much better. Lots of fun to be had with this ReMix.
  18. This is fantastic. Never gets boring, the energy is just awesome and this is the kind of rave music I'd love to just stick on repeat for a long time. Great use of quick drops at points. Everything ties together. Very good ReMix.
  19. Chiptune rolling star! Woo! I love how I totally can hear the Kirby games inspired style (and certain effects) in this ReMix, as it really does sound like Katamari Damacy driven through a blender filled with certain pink marshmallows. A great mix of resources and styles to bring about something delightfully happy and insanely fun to listen to over and over again. This is an awesome ReMix, DDRKirby(ISQ). Bravo.
  20. Definitely has the spirit of Deus Ex in it. It is a fantastic thing to hear an electronic piece that works without being in your face the entire time. A more cerebral electronic ReMix, I would say. Nice mix title (I like that connection), well thought out arrangement and great sounding product overall. Well done.
  21. Solo-piano Zelda piece with some jazzy bits sprinkled everywhere.....man, you really don't need a whole lot more than that to make for an enjoyable ReMix. But the piano work is quality for sure. Beautiful stuff, man.
  22. It does have an old-school feel to it while throwing in some good ideas, like the section just around the 2:00 mark. Retro style dance with enough goodies to keep it from getting stale or redundant, that's good enough for me, and while some things could have either been done better or added in to really nail this sucker down, it's still a good mix. Not bad.
