Your take on why is OCR so open and trusting
Kinslayer replied to Level 99's topic in General Discussion
finally, someone talks sense...LOL -
I think in some way that my very presence offends Brushfire...I wonder what I said...anyways, it's definitely a no for this year...I'm going to try for next year...maybe by then I'll be able to arrange things alot better.

I was talking style, not anywhere in that did I mention storyline, plot, or action sequences, anime is more linear in the fact that it produces realistic looking backdrops, buildings, places, and in some instances, normal people...it also adds texture, and regardless of your opinion of it, it's everywhere, most RPG's these days follow Anime storylines, or use Anime for the cutscenes and such, you cannot deny it's popularity, if you don't agree with it, than you don't have to watch it. Plain as that, I'm not holding a gun to your head and turning Sy Fy on Monday nights so you can watch it.

What are you listening to?

And we have here the first stills of the New Season of Shin-Chan!!! As you can see, our hero has had himself a sex change and some facial modification, but at least we can tell it's human now... Okay, SOME quality control...XD

LOL, I live in Texas, that's nowhere USA as far as OCR is concerned, all the meetups and cool stuff are held in like VA, or MD, or most of the northern states...there's not a damn thing down here, and not too many members in the vicinity...the closest members that I know who live remotely close to me are bLiNd and Jade! and that's still two states over... -
most def. it's just a matter of me playing a game, I haven't listened to much of disc 2, mainly disc 1 because I haven't bothered listening in a while, I'll be playing, or rather will start playing Wild Arms now...so if I get a feel for any other music I'd like to do that isn't claimed, I'll send the track your way, for now, let's focus on the one we have and leave the other openings for now, Jade will probably get most of them filled soon anyway, this is a recent project, and I want to see how well I can prove myself vocally before I try anything...I've never really recorded myself singing before, and if my singing voice sounds as bad as my normal voice does over the phone, then I may give up entirely, j/k

I'd take one of those spots Brushfire if I was definitely going, it'd save on hotel...ugh, I want to go!!! I want to get out of this town, if even for a week!!!

It's okay, I do the same thing...I usually get online after 11 PM at work because all I have to do after that is run a few breaks...
-
I know...lol, I'm waiting for my collab partner to get off work so we can start bouncing ideas off each other.

I wanna cry, I'd actually like to meet alot of these people in person...waaaah! j/k... In all seriousness though, I would like to get to know some of these people that cook up such badass music. -
I never said that Daft Punk weren't amazing artists, they just didn't spend enough time on Human After All to make it worth a darn...alot of the tracks on the CD are repetitive and boring to listen to over time...it's almost like Homework with new technology, and Homework had some of their biggest music... (on a side note: Discovery is my favorite Daft Album! I don't hate any of it!) I did like how Daft Punk made up for how poorly Robot Rock was made by remixing it later... And Alive 2007 showed a little more creativity on the newer music while keeping the classics classic... I'll probably buy this game if it's slated for a PS2 release...XD

well, assuming there's already been two DJ based rhythm games (i.e. Beatmania and Pop'N Music) looks very nice...and the Daft Punk cameo and playability is awesome, even though after Human After All Daft Punk is just overrated, although I hear Electroma is a good underground movie...have yet to see it.

well, than there's a falling then, Haruhi, while God-like, definitely is not omniscient...

Oh Brushfire!!! Anyway, Anime doesn't need quality control, you just have to get used to the idea that it is alot simpler than Western Style animation, and yet more complex at the same time, anime uses roughly 1/3 of the frames used in a Western animation, and yet can do so much more...Anime just acts more realistic, most cartoons are out there, strange, crazy, meant to be diverse, most animes act as though they were filmed...kinda like a movie or TV show...and there are some great animation styles in anime, you just haven't found one that you like, or you let your creative side die...besides, anime characters are fun to imitate...I'd like to get angry someday and have my head take up an entire frame...

I suddenly feel bad, I can't play ANY instruments, nor can I read sheet music, I always have to play music by ear...which I can recreate something just by listening to it...the only thing I have is FL Studio 8 and Adobe Audition to use for stuff like that...XD

Think of quality over quantity, if it's worth mixing the Volvagia theme, and you think people would be able to listen to a song that long...which I believe as good as this is so far, people will...maybe adding the Volvagia theme wouldn't be so bad...however, if you think that it's a bad idea, then focus on making what you have stronger...the ending fails though...when I meant fade it out, I kinda meant fading out together...lol, the strings, the piano, and the chant...but so far, it's really good...
