  1. It should extend the pattern automatically, though it maybe depends whether you are in pattern or song mode. Also, I don't know if the pattern should be empty - I always make sure to record into an empty one.
  2. Well, so far it looks like only I have picks from Sonic 2006 and Sonic Colors
  3. 1. Azure Lake (Sonic 3) ( )2. Wave Ocean, The Inlet (Sonic The Hedgehog 2006) ( )3. Aquarium Park (Sonic Colors) ( )4. Rusty Ruins (Sonic 3D Blast (Sega Saturn))( )5. Bridge Zone (Sonic The Hedgehog (Master System)) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f54VElMUqGo) I spent whole thursday evening picking out those
  4. I remember when I first saw this game posted on RPGMaker boards. Too bad it never got realized. I remembered it about a year ago and looked up the soundtrack on youtube, there's some great stuff there. Do you plan of ever subbing any of the remixes to OCR? I'd particularly love to see this one on the front page:
  5. Don't know how you didn't see it, but there's certain stutter in the wave file, visible on the screenshot here: http://i41.tinypic.com/13zzbbk.png Clicks don't necessarily have to be huge bumps - in this case the wave with the jump goes through Fourier transform, and jumps like this one generate higher frequencies, aka the click. Here's the spectrum of the same section: http://i44.tinypic.com/u1slx.png
  6. I had a similar issue - for some reasons audio drivers were conflicting with my bluetooth and wireless drivers. Try disabling those if you have them.
  7. Out of all free pianos I've tried, Maestro Concert Grand is still number one, though you might have a hard time finding a player for the .gig file (a free one, at least). I converted mine to the .sfz format, which I'd upload but I don't know if I need the original author's permission. You can find a list of some free piano samples here: http://bedroomproducersblog.com/2010/07/01/free-sample-shootout-3-acoustic-electric-and-toy-pianos/
  8. It's been on the list for at least a month. I don't care when it's coming out, I'm already excited
  9. I have an iPod classic which serves it's purpose for almost 3 years already. I manage it using winamp because I found it far easier to use than iTunes.
  10. I had an idea for a hard rock take on dingodile a while ago, so put me up for it I might even get a WIP done this weekend.
  11. Crash 3 was the first PS1 game I ever played and I'd love to contribute to this project. So if it's okay, I'd love to take either Dingodile, N. Tropy or Motorcycle levels, if nobody else wants. If you want an early draft for a track as some sort of audition, I could make one in a week or so.
  12. Seeing how I have a bit more free time now that I've cleared the exams for this semester, I've decided to go back to some of my older tracks and rework them, starting from this one. I've subbed this twice, around October last year if I remember correctly. Was turned down by the judges both times, mostly because of production issues, but luckily OA offered his help and gave me some directions for improving it. So basically, all that's the same is the structure - I've changed all synths/samples, added some extra ones etc etc. I really plan on resubmitting this one, so I look forward to any feedback/criticism, especially regarding any details I might add or might have missed.
  13. If you implied that E string is the thickest in the GDAE tuning, I'd have to say you're wrong. From what I know, G string is the thickest (ergo tuned the lowest). Each next string is tuned 7 semitones higher.
  14. Woohoo I definitely didn't expect this. I'll send you the new source a bit later this evening. Thanks to all who voted!
  15. This one is great. Makes me wanna complete that Xenosaga playthrough I started a long time ago. Speaking of battle themes (I'm presuming this includes boss battles), there are couple that I found amazing when I first heard them, and I still like them to this day: Digimon World 3, Boss Battle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Drbe1T2pe7k Don't know if this is because I was a huge Digimon fan as a child, but I love this game and I remember just leaving the controller when this music played so I can listen to it. Final Fantasy 8, Force Your Way: I first played FF8 somewhere around the time I started learning to play the bass, and I was amazed by the bassline here. Still my favorite FF boss music to this day. Chrono Trigger, Battle: Damn I was so surprised when I heard this while fighting Gato, especially considering that prior in the game you hear entirely different types of music. Also, I'm a huge sucker for basslines. Also, don't know if this counts, but Crash Team Racing - battle mode music is awesome: (rest of the battle music is a variation of this theme)
  16. If this starts in late June/early July I might participate.
  17. You could make it like on my college forum. When you put a youtube link, it creates a thumbnail in the post instead, and when you click on the thumbnail, it opens the video in a window, like on the screenshot here (from an OCR thread I made a while ago ):
