  1. I have faith that Arek will come around and work to have this album released even if some compromise has to take place. Just give it some time.
  2. My initial thought was to snatch a snapshot of that scene from King Kong where the large gorilla is standing on the building... A little colorization on him to make him brown, turn the building into a tree -- boom! Instant gold! colorization -- like that
  3. Dead Space II: Deep Space 9"
  4. Oh, well if it is even remotely Canada-related... have fun listening to DKC2 on release day!
  5. The tracks have been done for months, they're just waiting for the right time... like, they have the statistics for what month of the year and the time of day that the site of most active. They're waiting for March 13th at 4pm. You just got learned, foo! The above statement is a complete fabrication and has no factual basis whatsoever. It is purely meant for comedic purposes. If you were offended, or actually believed it, then... that's your problem! Deal with it, nerrd!
  6. I'd honestly rather have a keytar, I mean I have a MIDI controller, and it's like a piano. I don't need some pretend-a-keyboard to make guitar sounds, I could just pick up a guitar. But a keytar has keys on it. So it's still cool. KEYTAR. I WANTS ONE.
  7. I hope the Afro guy with a baby chocobo is a playable character. I don't want to play through the game as some generic Cloud-Strife Chick. I wanna play through as Choco'fro guy!
  8. You can wait the hour or 2 hours or however long until your class is over... your education is important! You waited for DKC2 for this long, another couple hours won't hurt. I'm not saying this to offend any DKC2 people, I just think that education is very, very important. P.S. Thanks Aninymouse
  9. I made a one hour compo but I forgot to upload it. I look at the clock and it's 10:56pm and I go "oops" Oh well. I compo'd every week since, what was it, OHC#47? It was a good run. Have fun you guys!
  10. Well I just started learning a new recording program.. I did sort of "start" on the song, but it's just like 20 seconds worth of figuring stuff out. With the new program I can write as I go, and I don't have to like, do it in pieces anymore. I should be able to get better sounds for my music now though, because I will actually be able to hear what I'm working on while I'm doing it! But um... I was sort of hoping just everyone who passed through here would see it and volunteer. I don't know where to begin with pming people, I think people get annoyed with them :I
  11. Hahah... I didn't think that statement would be powerful enough to summon OCRE. ;D But as far as sales numbers, I was just using Prototype as an example, which did sell about 3 to 1... FF13 is a much larger game and most people bought a PS3 to play it, so we'll see how that works out in the future. I shouldn't have made such a bold claim.
  12. I figure when FF13 outsells on the 360 3 to 1 compared to the ps3, they'll probably make it for the 360 too... then we'll get our hands on a little Versus action.
  13. This is Square's last chance to redeem themselves after The Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery. If it's not good, i'll probably never play another square title. :/
  14. Outside of Opeth, Pain of Salvation was my favorite band. But now, with their last couple CDs, I have been questioning whether they're still my favorite. I showed my dad their brand new music video today, and he said "Wow, they went Chili Pepper on you." And I'm like whaaat? Is that some kind of dad lingo from the 30s? He was talking about the Red Hawt Chili Pepperz of course, referring to how the band got all pop and make-up covered. Check out their new music video and see for yourself: What I want to know is, how can a band make an album as brilliant as "The Perfect Element" or even "Remedy Lane"... even their album "Be" is simply incredible compared to the new stuff. But they go from that, to "Scarsick" and then this Linoleum EP, which sounds really crappy. I think any remixer on this site could have done a better job of production on that EP. It's like they put the microphone right up against their lips and just start screaming into it... it's noise. Well this is sort of a rant... this band has gone so far down hill that it's even starting to make ME feel bad. I don't understand how they can do this. I mean don't they talk to each other like, "Hey, remember that awesome CD we made and it was good?" It's like they don't even remember how they used to make awesome music. I don't know if they're trying to be something new and weird or if it's just an experiment... Blah... luketheXjesse dream theater
  15. I just had a really cool idea on the way home today and a good map of what I'm going to try for the song displayed itself in my puny, human brain. You said the track was a villainous theme, a theme of people being killed. What I would like, is for everyone who ever reads this, to record about 1 minute of the most painful screaming you can muster... Think "Hey, I'm being killed!" The more the better. I want to incorporate all these different tracks of dying screams into the song and feature all of these different people prominently for their deathly performance. You don't have to be a mixer to do this. But it would be preferred if your recordings are of a good quality with no static, etc. I hope you will allow me to do this Jade. Also I hope you and blind can scream a duet of pain. Of course it would be best if you recorded your parts separately.
  16. I was joking with you the other day Brushfire, but you became Workfire before I could say that. I'd be overjoyed to be on OCAD. I was actually thinking it would be cool if, somehow, you guys could work OCAD into the listening party (if Level 99's still interested in hosting that)
  17. I was pretty sure I had mentioned to you at some point that I wanted to do Town Theme from DW1.. is that solid or what?
  18. This album is nothing short of inspirational. I'll admit when I first downloaded it, I was expecting rock or metal -- the typical response to Castlevania. But I was pleasantly surprised and introduced to Joshua Morse's music through this album. The man never ceases to amaze me. I can't wait to hear what he has in store for the future. I also support the idea of single-artist albums, as mentioned by Radiowar.
  19. R.I.P. I'm sure I've heard him before, probably as Hercule in DBZ Budokai. I don't think I even made it as far as Gilgamesh in FF12...
  20. If Kyle Gass and Jack Black had a baby, his name would be K.B. That is all. It's just that every time I ever see a post by K.B., I think of that. x_x But yeah, I'm honored to be claiming a second track. (nice save!)
  21. You guys should step back a bit from return guests and get some new ones in there. ...like Cyril
  22. Hi. I am posting in this thread so I will be subscribed to it. I'm going to give this a try. I'm pretty good at originals.
