I couldn't get past how cutesy and soft everything was, even the music is absurdly childlike. X is a nice contrast to that, but the footage was basically standing in place and button mashing ad nauseum. As for Child of Light, the Nintendo Direct made it seem lamer than it really is, having already seen trailers and stuff for it. I don't know why/how they did that... but I'll still just get it on PC. A nice multi-plat title for sure.

That's the question -- why don't you remix new or modern VGM? It seems for the most part that people remix music that is nostalgic for them, and that's great too but it shouldn't be the only remixing focus. Is remixing modern stuff too difficult because of how much larger VGM has gotten? What do you guys think? I will just ask please don't post hyperbole like "new VGM isn't good". That's the farthest thing from the truth.

Where do you stand on public domain stuff, e.g. traditional Christmas tunes (not jingle bells), classical tunes (Bach, Debussy, Tchaikofski etc), which are legally free to make and sell? I know OCR doesn't allow it, but no reason OC-Records shouldn't!

I don't think it's cool to hate Nintendo, I think the last part of your quote is the more important part. Nintendo needs to get up to date with modern technology. x_X If you're going to match the price point, also match the quality. It's important.

Just out of curiosity... what's the process for updating the judge process thread? I assume most if not all of it is manual and not automated.

As the editor of the BadAss 2 website I can confirm I did not touch no Japanese text on there and am not at fault. I like to think of it as someone who is REALLY confused about what OCR is. I had sent them a support email about it, and they looked into it and said it was a bugger and sent me the codes.. so if anyone else has that issue, you might have to do that. *SHRUG* Or just wait it out and see if they come in. But from my experience with Amazon pre-orders, they usually send the code immediately, same day Heck, I usually get them before the item even arrives when it's release day. That's what happened when I got AC4:Black Flag

Personally I would have dug some more high EQ in the master, just a smidge, to give it some nice, sparkly high end to offset the strong, meaty low end a little more But in general, seems pretty great.

Either Amazon screwed up and shipped the games out without the preorder bonuses, or they got so many preorders it's just taking them a long time.. but this stuff should either be automated or included IN the package when you preorder a game. Ridiculous! I'm gonna play through as female Cloud if they fix this issue.

This is great. I'm a sucker for ePiano, and love the general glassy vibe I get from this. Nice use of voice, pretty solid mixing, nice work.

Here's a new trailer, this comes out NEXT month. This has CRAZY 4K RESOLUTION!! Turn that on and wow.

Honestly, it was really, really short. You watch an amazing opening CGI, you battle some monsters and learn about the basic monster field system, battle system is amazing.. but for the most part, you run through a bunch of hallways and get to the end, fight a boss, and that's it. But yeah, the hallway has a lot of turns in it, it's not just one straight hallway. You can RUN with a run button, you can jump.. It's pretty sweet.

No way, thank YOU GUYS!! You guys made it a real thing. And if you finish and sub your tracks to OCR, that would be so amazing. They really are that good.
