  1. Kevin Conroy, more than Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, and Christian Bale combined, is the One True Batman.
  2. SPLIT TO A NEW THREAD It has a lot of organization and collaboration tools right there at your fingertips. It's a lot like a notebook in that you can put text anywhere (not locked into a top-to-bottom Word document). It makes it easier for drawing flowcharts and diagrams, and it's got collaboration too, so you can have shared whiteboard sessions and stuff. I used it a lot when I was in college and turned a lot of my friends on to it. We used the shared whiteboard a lot during senior project planning sessions. It's very powerful.
  3. Gotta agree with the detractors. Stopwatching passes this on a technicality, but honestly Andy correctly points out that we have to look at how the source is used in relation to the other parts of the song. While we certainly have to break things down to understand the source usage, I think it's also important to look at the piece holistically. It's just too liberal this time around. NO
  4. Gotta agree with Vinnie. Really conservative for the likes of OCR, even for the time it was written (wow, 6 years ago? Damn...) I really enjoyed it when I bought SQUAREDANCE all those years ago, but it's just too similar to the original song in structure. The genre adaptation is nice, but that's all it really is. NO
  5. This thread has run its course.
  6. Your best bet is to come back when everything else is done. Music in this case isn't really integral to the gameplay, so you don't need it yet. Artists in this community have been burned before by getting involved with writing music for a project in early stages and then having the project flounder. Also, you should really post a website or something with actual information like screenshots or devblogs.
  7. Punch him in the mouf.
  8. It wasn't this thread that did it.
  9. An aside: gotta agree there, especially when using Microsoft's OneNote note-taking application.
  10. See now you're crossing the line man. CROSSING THE LINE WANNA JOIN BLUEFOX? NO OCR FORUMS ALL WEEKEND YOU WANT THAT COOP-MAN? TRY ME
  11. HEY That's just cause I tempbanned him, right? Thanks a lot.
  12. Let's see... Atomic Robo is a must get. In fact while you're there just buy all six issues of it. Or wait for the trade. In any case it's a fantastic comic from the writer of 8-bit Theatre. Tiny Titans is very fun too even though it's aimed at kids. It's one of my monthly buy books. The All-Star Superman has already achieved a legendary status among fans, so if that's more your taste, hit that. And yes, of course it's free sample day! It's to get people into the comic shops to check out what's going on. In that vein, if you've got 50 cents to spare, I recommend picking up DC Universe #0, which is sort of a preview/teaser of major storylines that DC comics is going to do in the next two years like Final Crisis, Batman: RIP, Wonder Woman: Whom the Gods Have Forsaken, Green Lantern: Blackest Night, etc. It's a full-sized issue and not a bad deal for 2 quarters.
  13. Sorry. That's not useful, nor is it correct, considering people have already given some valid, helpful, on-topic advice to the original poster that's lead to further on-topic discussion. You were already warned, so see you after the weekend.
  14. EVENT: Free Comic Book Day DATE: Saturday May 3, 2008 LOCATION: Your Local Comic Shop MORE INFO: http://freecomicbookday.com/
  15. Torvus Clockwork isn't enough to get the panties droppin?
  16. Just saw it. Fun action movie with lots of snappy dialogue and great acting. I liked it a lot.
  17. Bluefox, don't reply to a thread in this forum unless you can offer some useful advice. Off-topic, useless posts (and their off-topic rebuttals) moved to Abuse.
  18. The what?! Tatsumakisenpukakyu.
  19. If you're still a noob to mixing and you're going to end up using a Mac, then just learn to use a native Mac application. I mean I'm pro-FL all the way, but you're still at that stage where you're not really locked into an application like someone like me is (I can't imagine trying to learn an entirely new DAW). Apparently there are a lot of great audio-apps for OSX (I wouldn't know any, Vista user), so just look into that. Why bother with the potential overhead and latency issues when you don't really have to?
  20. Well Taxman is doing the programming, and he's the guy who did the Sonic Retro engine and the new Sonic XG Retro engine (which I think was just adapted from the Retro engnie, but anyway). So, uh...already got a hell of a head start on that?
  21. Except you ultimately fail because if you had any kind of reading comprehension skills you would see that Suzu was portraying an angry, militant MUSLIM: And as one of the few Muslims who posts here at OCR, I can tell you that Muslims believe that it was not Isaac who was to be sacrificed in the name of God, but Ishmael. http://www.amaana.org/arch/ismail.htm
  22. Yeah but...we're not talking about OCR here...or remixing, or anything like that. We're talking about the Sonic 2 HD project. It's an upgrade of the old game. It's not a reimagining, or a reinterpretation. It's pretty much Sonic 2 at a higher resolution and with some higher production values for the music (i.e. not Genesis synthesis). There is going to be SOME arrangement involved, as far as I'm aware (I mean Dream Pipe has a lot of stuff added, so you can count on me!) but come on, just enjoy it for what it is. :\
  23. Baby Peach is adorable. That is all.
  24. OR YOU COULD JUST GO LOSE SOME WEIGHT YOU FA- *shot* jk jk lol Thx for your support. I just dropped a $25 donation myself.
  25. Not entirely true. The special stage music is going to be a modified version of Dream Pipe.
