  1. Fanboyism and fangirlism are different things, IMO, and I personally think that fangirlism is way more detrimental to gaming than fanboyism. Case-in-point: Shadow the Hedgehog.
  2. I don't want to derail this thread, but I feel like I have to respond to this. I take great offense at the insinuation that anyone on the site would ever allow something like you described to happen. I'm very disappointed that you'd even hint at any kind of dishonesty or lack of integrity on our part, especially considering how closely you've worked with various staff members on the mascot project. You should know better, dude.
  3. A Mega Man style game where OCR-tan fights against the evil Robot Judges?! So much win!
  4. A Mugen OCR fighting game would be great, but we'd need to come up with more characters, like Mod-tan, Judge-tan, make all the Judges playable characters, etc.
  5. Do you understand that by simply talking about April Fool's Day you're alerting people to the fact that anything that seems remotely suspicious could potentially be a joke? It doesn't matter whether you are actively trying to ruin a joke or you are genuinely interested in what people are doing for the day. The fact of the matter is that you reminded people that it was April Fool's Day. At 1:30 in the morning. On April Fool's Day. Innocent intentions or not, you spoiled the day for jokesters. You were banned so that you wouldn't be able to post, so that you wouldn't inadvertently do it again. You weren't banned because you committed any kind of serious offense, and you certainly weren't the first, last, or only one who got banned for the day. Get over it. As for this? Advanced knowledge of this would help considerably. Yeah, that's a great idea. We're gonna tell everyone right before April Fool's Day that if they talk about April Fool's Day on April Fool's Day we're gonna ban them for all of April Fool's Day. Brilliant. That'll make sure nobody remembers that it's April Fool's Day.
  6. Comparing Fullmetal Alchemist to Genshiken is like comparing Star Wars and Clerks. They're just different kinds of shows. You're missing out.
  7. CALLING ALL SPRITERS CALLING ALL SPRITERS Let's get some sprites going for OCR-tan and Three-tan. Looking for Square/Enix PSX RPG style, Mega Man style, and 2D Fighter style. LETS SEE WHAT YOU GOT SHOW ME YOUR MOVES
  8. You posted this at 1:26 A.M. on April 1, 2008: It has been a tradition among the mods to silence anyone who mentions that it is April Fool's Day on April 1st. While we didn't have a big joke this year because of most of the site staff being too busy to pull anything together, it has been a huge problem in the past with people who've tried to ruin all the classic OCR jokes like EAMix and Paid Member accounts. These people believe that they are the smartest people ever and that they are obligated to ruin any kind of April Fool's fun that we may have. Call it nipping things in the bud.
  9. I've sent a PM to Wade, the AudioPortal guy on Newgrounds.
  10. I love how deranged she looks. You need to draw her doing the
  11. You attempts at humor are failing pretty hard.
  12. No thanks necessary. I don't do it for the fans. I do it for THE LADIES.
  13. Yes, it is extremely irritating. However, Fishy is also correct in saying that it's even more irritating when you used to be one and aren't one anymore, especially after a long cool-off period like I had.
  14. Everything is going to be new when nothing comes before it.
  15. Hey man they are called video games for a reason you know.
  16. Hey everyone. I've rejoined the moderator team after a little over a year. If you have any mod-issues on the forums, I'm also available now in addition to the other mods.
  17. Again, missing the point. But to address your point: why bother? How many people actually use vCards for contacts? I'd guess "not many." What it really boils down to is that this isn't the kind of card you hand out to people. vCards are analogous to business cards. "Here take my card, contact me." These are membership cards. They're not supposed to contain contact info. They're for showing off your membership. It's real and substantial and made of plastic. You sign the back and keep it in your wallet. You don't GIVE your membership card to people. It's not a contact card. I don't hand out my Star Wars Fan Club Membership card to people so that they can contact me. I have business cards for that. Nothing's preventing you from embedding a finished image in your own personal vCard, but honestly I don't think I know a single person who uses vCards and I don't think its worthwhile to pursue it. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.
