  1. It has a certain "dreamy" quality to it. Indeed, the acoustic guitar is impressive right from the word go. Harmony has certainly proved his worth since this song (and it was only 5 months ago!), and this was and is a great start. Mellow is definitely an appropriate term.
  2. That is some guitar talent you have there. Great playing. There's a nice buildup throughout the song. I suppose in a way it could be compared to Pillar of Salt in satisfying the site mission, and making new, exciting, awesome music. Damn, those wind pipes at the 4 minute mark- I've been waiting for ages for someone to use them in a mix. And what a transition into smooth jazz style groove at the end. Excellent work from a very quickly established mixer.
  3. Well, now it's been project- ised, I'll say good luck to all on the musicians and such. If the final product is anything along the same quality as I Lost my Balls in Moscow, it'll kick ass.
  4. Well, there goes my internet connection. On the other hand, one of my favourite pastimes is back- listening to Larry making scary unintelligible sounds. That's normal, right?
  5. This was one of my favourite Dark Side of Phobos songs, possibly for the fact that you could notice the main melody clearly. The choir does a good job at being the main lead, and is nice to listen too. Still can't figure out what those sounds at the start and end are (footsteps?), and why they're used. Nice work.
  6. And so all the air of knowledge that djp had when talking in his write ups goes out the window. This is an awesome song from a genre that I've always wanted to appear on the game music scene. Go Makke and his wild imagination!
  7. Definitely wouldn't picture Brinstar like this. Liked the use of the tune, but it got a little cluttered around the 3 minute mark. I can hear the source in some way or another throughout the piece, just not in the most obvious areas. Quite creative.
  8. Thanks gramps, but most of these mixers aren't so young. Uh, I'm 17, the best tracks to me sounded kind of unprofessional, experimentative, which is what I liked about them. You sure sounded nostalgic in your original post, then.
  9. What a very strange pet peeve. I've been thinking that too, coincidentally.
  10. Heh. I remember when you posted your dislike for the singing back in March at DoD. Each to their own I guess. I've always liked it since I first heard it. I've only listened to one other of your songs, the theme tune to Chaff City.net (now defunct). Hope to hear more from you soon! (Looking forward to your "Be Absentminded" for Summoning of Spirits )
  11. Am I the only one who has noticed what the subtitle reads like in the game picture for this ReMix? Go take a look. Nice remix, though. Laid back somewhat.
  12. VGDJ has helped me find out what Australians REALLY sound like. I listened to Jivemaster's interview in show 003, and laughed at his voice. No offense or anything, but I never hear anyone who actually sounds typically "Australian" where I live. Then comes Akumajobelmont's clip this current show- what is this? I must be living under a rock.
  13. djp, you'd better have got round to playing this game by now. This song is awesome, BTW.
  14. Speaking of which, has cover art come into the picture yet, or is it too early to think about that?
  15. Adhesive Boy's mixes are far and few between, but consistently deliver as aural experiences. No two songs of his take the same approach. Such is this piece, you wouldn't expect these instruments to work well but AB pulls it off in style. Nice work.
  16. You did a great job. I was trying to play it this afternoon (and failing miserably), and it refreshed my mind on how well a job McVaffe did. Short and oh so sweet (note no 'but,' the length in no way detracts from the song).
  17. "man sieht sich galaxie" is the sexiest sexy thing that was ever sexy. No other judge can beat that.
  18. Okay then. The art is quite good. I don't think that Arabic font you used fits too well, though good job overall.
  19. DJ Redlight's best remix yet. That's some tight, fast groove you've got there.
  20. I can hear djpretzel in this mix... probably the main lead. Cool chill.
  21. Whoa... I've never seen a quintuple collab before. EDIT- ohsnap, River City Rap.
  22. 666 posts and the project's released.... but what about the old thread before Mythril took over the project? Ahahahaha.
  23. I doubt Kirby has the same kind of impact as Donkey Kong or Super Metroid. I'm downloading it now. (EDIT- Okay, I am an idiot. I just saw the feedback link on the download page.)
