I can't get into a lot of newer games. I grew up on NES and SNES, but with a lot of newer games, it's more about graphics than usability and game play. I have a really hard time getting into most 3D games, and I tend to gravitate more 2D games. The games I've really liked in this current generation of PS3, 360, and Wii, are games like Kirby Epic Yarn, Muramasa, Super Paper Mario. Yeah all Wii games. I believe the Wii is the best console for gamers like me that appreciate the times gone by of games that cared less about graphics and more about providing a good experience overall. But the younger generation grew up with fancy CGI and fully 3D graphics. They don't realize how far games have come in the past few decades. They are also turned off by anything with almost any sort of difficulty level, and 2D graphics. It has to do a lot with society, where as American society has turned into a place where you get instant gratification for everything you do, and even the losers get trophies. The younger generation just wants something that gives them instant gratification, hence why games have become shorter, easier, less involved, and now include these achievements they can use to brag to their friends about how good they are.

Once I get to the actual final ending, I'll go back through and do it on Shura mode. I figured going through once will give me a better understanding of how to go through it on Shura mode. I did Monohime's story second, and I think her abilities are a lot more interesting than Kisuke's.

Digging up a really old thread to say that I picked this game up, and it is PHENOMENAL. Granted the dialogue may be lacking, and I can definitely tell they left a lot out in the translation. The battle system is amazing, the sword creation system lets you get an upper hand on enemies and bosses. I love the sealed monster tree trunks. They're actually challenging and you have to plan out which swords you're taking in with you, and what food to cook before you go in. Artwork is amazing, and I find myself button mashing during some battles just to stare at the background. I definitely vote this as one of my top 5 Wii games.

I think it could be a good idea if done properly. That one seems too hard to be classifying for the sake of classification. Maybe a step in the right direction though.

I don't have any preferences on what I would like to see. I'm pretty much broke between rent, bills, and student loan repayments. So a Fastrac gas card for like $10 would be phenomenal. Or anything funny or weird will do. I'm not picky. I don't even get presents from my family, haha.

When I want a first person fighter I just pick out the nearest frat douche bag at the bar and make fun of him.

It's that time of year again. And I didn't see a Black Friday post. Black Friday ads are starting to come out, and this year is already looking to be a bit of a downer. Toys R' Us is offering "sale" prices that are the same if not MORE than retail. Even Walmart's Toy Ad is slashing prices by just pennies. Here's a good site for any of you bargain hunters. I actually picked up my Golden Sun 2 to finish it a couple weeks ago. Turns out my save was right before the Final Boss. So I've been hoping for a new Golden Sun to get my fix. This is great news to me especially if you can transfer data, my characters are beasts.

I've been following 8-bit since the 30th comic. I loved it from start to finish. I never got bored with it. I enjoyed it for what it was, a light-hearted easy to read sprite comic.

Jazz Jackrabbit FTW. I loved that game back in the day. Excellent platform game.

I liked Kartia also. It was a fun game, good storyline, awesome battle system, and great characters. The cover art heavily reminded me of Terra from the FFVI artwork though. My friend already has the Jap FFXIII and he said it's downright amazing. But he drools over anything remotely Japanese.
