  1. Nintendo is quality, without a doubt. I think a lot of Nintendo fans are just afraid to admit that they're getting older and that those kinds of games no longer appeal to them.
  2. You know what drives me crazy? When people call it the "Wii 2". Seriously, do you think that Nintendo, as batshit crazy and flawed they are, would lack the originality to give a new name to their console and instead just stick a 2 on the end? Anyway. Definitely want an HD F Zero with good online scheme. I will probably play some F-Zero today.
  3. Looking forward to my 3D HD F-Zero with online multi-player and HD Skyward Sword.
  4. DKC Returns was amazing. I'm 29. I had the Nintendo Power tape for the original game and I must've watched it ten to twenty times. I loved the new game and I'm at 156% right now. My only complaint is no underwater levels. You haters are nuts.
  5. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. People are never happy. Nintendo finally gives everybody what they've been asking for, and half of them are like "What?" or "Meh." Nintendo have done a great job. Minus the HD, a true online network, and a lackluster although improved 3rd party support, they've done quite well. No, the Wii won't bake you cookies, it won't give you a blow job, but it will let you play a lot of games, and Nintendo went all out trying to please their demanding fanbase with FOUR major Mario titles and a slew of "Here you go master" fan-service games, and everyone continues to whine. A new DKC which anyone who has honestly played it all the way through and knocked it is lying. There are a ton of games on the system that I still don't own and don't even have the time to get into. They release a bunch of games at a time, many of them system exclusives, and people are like "Where are the games?" Hint. Go to the game store. Go to amazon.com. I've been wanting to play Monster Hunter for ages. There's still a new Kirby and Zelda on the horizon, and what about those 2 rpgs they're about to poo out. Anyway, it's okay to criticize them. That's what we gamers do. I'm just saying maybe you should try being excited once in a while. Nintendo's online sucks, we've wanted HD, and this will be great for 3rd party support. I cannot wait to get in line for this sucker. Get the online right and now we're talking.
  6. Can I get my money back from Sonic 4 and get this game instead? Just make the levels as good as the music sounds here and put the real hog in and you've got a worthy Sonic sequel. Let's just forget 4 even happened.
  7. Keep in mind that I'm not trying to say that the sequel is superior to the original - A great sequel often still leaves reason to play the original: Ummmmm....Sonic The Hedgehog 2. So many improvements in the game that it was ridiculous. F-Zero X was a good one. Pretty much everything I was hoping for and it seems others tend to agree. It's not necessarily better than the first one, but it was exactly what it should have been for a sequel on newer hardware. Mortal Kombat 2 was a good one. More characters, more moves - just the right balance and made the first one look pretty pale. Mother 2 AKA Earthbound. I don't think I have to explain. Not saying the first one wasn't good. Kinda like mentioning Mega Man 2. A great sequel to a good and innovative original. Street Fighter 2. You know I'm right on this one. WOW. Some more ones I think are worthy - Donkey Kong Country 2, Kid Niki 2 (I doubt you've played it but oh well), Double Dragon 2 (The NES sequel), Something else I'd like to mention is that there are some sequels I really like but really weren't accepted well, and for good reason. Zelda 2 is an under-rated game, but wasn't really what people wanted, so that's why I don't mention it. I LOVE that game, but people looking for a good, TRUE sequel were disappointed. Not a good sequel, but a good and unique game on its own.
  8. She can't even go out of one octave, and that's going through her nasal region. Even after auto-tune, she sucks.
  9. Can I just straight up say that this is absolutely horrible without someone trying to defend it by saying "She's cute" or " I've heard worse" or "Justin Bieber".
  10. It really sucks. My buddy Shoko lives in Tokyo and is a native of North Japan and he isn't happy at all. Poor guys.
  11. What I'm hoping for: High difficulty, at least higher than TP Orchestral soundtrack Less fan-service to Ocarina fans, more experimentation and developer freedom A good feel. That good ol' magic "lost in Hyrule" feeling I like motion plus and the graphics. That's all I know about the game. Lookin' good. Will pre-order.
  12. To be sincere for the first time in eons, I have to agree that it's sad news. I grew up playing the Rare classics, Cobra Triangle, the Battletoads games (including the awesome one with Double Dragon), RC Pro-Am, The Donkey Kong Country games, Killer Instinct and a few more, and it's a shame to see them go this way. It just doesn't come as any real shock, since they've been diminished long before they were even bought by Microsoft. Regardless, maybe they could churn out a bad-ass Battletoads and Double Dragon sequel at least before they sink? Of course that won't happen. I'm not an idiot. But it would be awesome.
  13. I just played that tab dude. It was kinda cool.
  14. Cobra Triangle! Battletoads.... Motherfucker I just said BATTLE-TOADS. BATTLE. TOADS.
  15. Ehh....Nah. There are only a few misses in the Kirby franchise and even those are decent games....I love the Crystal Shards and Kirby Superstar just like the original adventure. Kirby's Dreamland 3 was frustrating at times but it also had kick-ass co-op way before its time, and the presentation and graphics are awesome. I think it throws many Kirby fans off because it is slower paced. In that way, it gives you more options for how to beat the game and you are allowed enjoy the awesome music and settings that dominate Kirby games. The new one coming out on Wii looks like it's gonna take the whole cake. So no, I strongly disagree with the thread title. Sorry for being opinionated about it, it just sounds like one of those arguments when a band makes a few good albums, changes its direction, still releasing good albums, but some fans don't adapt and give up on the band altogether, although the band still rocks. Metaphorically speaking.
  16. Well, regardless of all the development hoopla, it looks awesome and fun to play. I like the part where he inhales ten or so bad guys at once and shoots a star into the spider. And Indiana Jones / cowboy Kirby. And the big dragon fire thing.
  17. I do not have a clue, but it totally pisses me off. Somewhere, in some office, a hundred Japanese men are laughing hysterically. I'm gonna go with a conspiracy theory that Capcom are being a collective dick because of Inafune's departure. That, or either it's because that half of the characters are spawned from minds of those who think it's a good idea to sell underwear in a vending machine.
  18. Epic Mickey? Haven't played it. I'll say this: The Mickey Mouse games on SNES are awesome. The two Capcom ones and then that other one. Totally awesome games. There was a time when if you saw "Disney" on a game cartridge, it was synonymous with fucking awesome.
  19. That level is from hell. I also hate the level with the bat horde. I hate all bats. In all video games, and especially in this game.
  20. Great album! Loving 8 out of 10 so far! "I though you weren't really into rap." "Well, I make exceptions."
  21. Okay. Let's see. I'm on the second spin, and so far my favorite tracks are Normal, No Homo, Unemployment and Stop Plate Tectonics. All ten tracks are loaded and full of bells and whistles. The album is a bit darker than the last one, which was upbeat with a few serious numbers, whereas this one is a lot darker overall. While not all of the songs are as immediate and grabbing on those on the first album (like the classic My Gay Shirt), they are more expansive and the tracks really standout from each other. I applaud you guys for branching out and expanding your sound instead of doing more of the same. I can tell this is one of those grow on you albums where my list of favorite tracks will shift. The transitions are great and it's cool that some of the songs keep on rocking after the vocals quit. A very good album, and since it's free I gotta say that anyone who skips it is doing a great disservice to themselves. Got a question though - Is "A Team By Myself" inspired by NIN? Don't see how anyone could dislike this fine work, but I sure as heck am digging it. Great job Shael, Beefy, Mustin and crew. More please.
