The stream was pretty bad for me, but when it stopped to buffer and I saw the first glimpse of an upside-down road in the background, my eyes lit up. Definitely looking forward to that. Looks like it's back to 12 racers at once, though. I don't think that worked particularly well in Mario Kart Wii...but we'll see.

Exactly. You don't need to know everything right away. I made a few 7-second-long remixes with FL before I found the piano roll. If you're stuck not knowing what to write, don't be afraid to write simple dumb shit. You won't be getting any music awards, but it'll help you figure out the basics, at the very least. (I like to pull out the earliest example of my music on record at times like this.)

I've occasionally considered going by my real name, but it's just not unique/memorable enough. I'd be lost in the depths of google forever.

My point being that we've already seen it. Watching a second time. Arrows and hammer seem to use magic, which slowly refills itself. No indication that Link has a physical collection of arrows. Interesting. Could be on the lower screen, I guess.

Set in the world of LttP? Meh. Moving around on the wall? Awesome. Oh...and the fact that they're making a big deal about the 3D effect for perceiving height suggests to me that Phantom Hourglass-style touch controls are out.

I'm taking on the regular battle theme because for me, it basically is Mario RPG. I've hummed along to that thing way too often not to remix it.

Hah. So I know Darke said not to spoil the twist, but I'm too excited about it. He's actually switching places with the competitors this year, so we'll all be running the competition and keeping score while Darke produces 16 remixes per week. Get hype.

We'll see what we can do about releasing around then, but no promises. I'm not holding anyone to the final deadline coming up this weekend; I've been busier than I expected lately. I really should be working on my senior thesis as I type this.

These days I think most of the LPs I watch are of games I've already played. Sometimes you learn something new, sometimes you just get entertained by failures or commentary. It's also good when multiple people are playing and/or commentating at the same time. Of course you have to be picky about LPers. If the first few seconds of commentary are iffy, get out of there. It's not going to get better.
