Parts are unlocked randomly when you get enough coins. Characters are also unlocked randomly by winning gold. I like that this means I never have to play 50cc, but it took long enough for the game to decide to give me Roy.

I've been having a lot of trouble maintaining my connection while playing online. No error codes or anything. Should I assume it's release weekend server overload? Super fun game, anyway. I'm glad Roy's stats work for me, because there was no way I wasn't going to play as him. Tracks are all good, too, although the lack of GBA tracks is kind of putting me in a Super Circuit mood...

Lime of the Season - A Zelda: Oracle of Seasons album
Lemonectric replied to Lemonectric's topic in General Discussion
Tune in to Silver's Saturday Show tomorrow if you want to hear me talk about the album. Check the site to see what time it airs in your time zone. Right now it's listed as 1:00pm CDT, but it's going to be moved forward half an hour so I can get home from work. -
Lime of the Season - A Zelda: Oracle of Seasons album
Lemonectric replied to Lemonectric's topic in General Discussion
Word will spread. You all are impatient. If you want to blame someone, blame me for not giving OCR staff advance notice. Forgot to mention: Essence of Lime was also retagged so the album information would sort properly. If you never got around to downloading it before, now's the perfect time. The music itself is unchanged, though. -
Rêvasser Network presents: Website Lime of the Season is a fan arrangement album paying tribute to the soundtrack of The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. It complements the previously-released Essence of Lime, which covered Oracle of Ages. For this project, the gameplay premise of Oracle of Seasons has been incorporated into the music. Every track has been assigned a season and arranged accordingly; a spring track might represent a rainy day or young love, while an autumn track might represent a creepy dungeon or a chilly morning. It was up to each musician to decide how to approach the arrangement. The album runs about 90 minutes and features 24 tracks by 22 diverse musicians such as Rexy, halc, and Dj Mokram. Project History In early 2008, I started a personal project to arrange the soundtrack of Oracle of Ages, the game that sparked my interest in video game music. I called it Essence of Lime. People offered assistance one by one, and before anyone knew what was happening, Essence of Lime was a community project with a name that didn't quite make sense anymore. By then, however, the participants had succumbed to the citrus fever. An Oracle of Seasons album was proposed internally toward the end of Essence of Lime's production, and now we're finally here. Big thanks to everyone involved in the two projects! We're doooonnneee! Essence of Lime was released on June 18, 2010. Lime of the Season was released on May 7, 2014.

If you buy a game physically, it's stored on the game disc. The only thing saved to the system will be your save data, which is pretty negligible. Or did I misunderstand the question?

SUPER COOL ANNOUNCEMENT TIME Pre-release listening party: Sunday, May 4, 6PM EDT on Nitro Game Injection Release date: Wednesday, May 7 (probably afternoon EDT) Post-release listening party: Saturday, May 10, 3PM EDT on Silver's Saturday Show I'll be in the chatroom for both shows if possible. If you want it early, go for Nitro Game Injection. If you want to let it stew in your brain a little so you can come up with questions/comments, go for Silver's Saturday Show. There's also the time difference to consider. -

Yeah, Arecibo Radio was on my list. SilverSonic also offered to do a listening party for us on Radio Nintendo, so I'll check back with him as well. -

We're thinking of a release in early May. I gotta talk to some people about listening parties to figure out an exact date. -
http://kotaku.com/what-we-talk-about-when-we-talk-about-mario-kart-8-1558649442/all I didn't read much of it, but this caught my attention: Audio options? Pleeeaase? Especially if you're going to fill the track with 12 constantly shouting racers. I've wanted a higher music-to-sound-effects ratio for ages. Of course, their response could just mean "we're those despicable kinds of people who don't actually pay attention to video game music," and the volume balance is actually better than they realize. The fact that the question was even asked suggests to me that the team wants the music to be more audible than in previous Mario Karts. One can hope.

They also said "this level design isn't interesting enough," which I can only assume means they didn't actually play any levels. I stayed up late practicing a time attack for the first level. Mirby's still better than me :'(

finished La-Mulana - Giant's Rage/Cry
Lemonectric replied to Lemonectric's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
I sent it in near the beginning of the kickstarter and they responded, so I'm just waiting for it to happen. I wonder if they got any music besides ours. -
I was just reading through old posts and suddenly remembered having to use fishing rods on sheep. I was thinking about my first single-player world, too. It was a snow world from back before biomes got added. I think it was cloudy and snowing all the time? It always seemed so quiet and creepy and lonely in a way no other game had felt before. Kinda makes me wish I could unexperience Minecraft so I could start as a blank slate and be terrified of creepers again. Anyway, I'm just feeling particularly nostalgic because my friend hasn't really played before. We're gonna do some legit survival together and it'll be awesome. We might wait until Brave New World is reset, although I guess we can always get started with a temporary resource-collection base in the main world.
-
Whitelist request for a friend of mine: username "thatwelshgamer" We'll probably be doing some building together. I guess I should donate again if I'm going to come back to the server. Edit: And what's the word on a Brave New World reset?

Yep, I'm definitely looking at Wii mode. In the Wii memory settings, I have save data from almost all of my disc-based Wii games and none of my downloaded games. Nothing was left on the SD card, either. At about 90% completion, it paused for a while and said somethin' rude like "this SD card sucks," but when I selected Try Again, it finished just fine. That might've been something. Anyway, no harm done to my wallet. I used to delete save data from Mario Kart every once in a while just to re-unlock everything, so this isn't a huge deal for me. Just wanted to check if it was supposed to do that (I figured it wasn't).
-
Mine wasn't even hacked, though. From what I can tell, it was supposed to transfer all VC/WiiWare data...but it just didn't. Oh well. Time to replay a bunch of old games, I guess. How awful
-
Against my better judgment, I did a system transfer from my Wii...and apparently it only bothered to copy save data from my physically owned games (sans Mario Kart Wii?) and the "rights" to download Wii shop stuff that I'd downloaded before. The downloaded games themselves were all deleted, along with their save data. So I have to spend time redownloading them all, and their save data is gone. ...Was that supposed to happen? Because I don't remember it telling me that would happen.

I take it you mean the tinkly bells that come in during the swing section and not the ones that appear earlier? -

Sakit Chills Out (updated 12-17-14) Old Version Sources are all from La-Mulana: , , , I've had a WIP for this ever since I played La-Mulana last year, but the La-Mulana 2 kickstarter has prompted me to finish.

Lemonectric replied to DarkeSword's topic in General Discussion
La-Mulana 2 kickstarter If you haven't played the first one, you can get the remake 90% off ($1.49) on Steam today. It's also available on WiiWare. Basically a really unforgiving Indiana Jones Metroidvania full of traps and cryptic puzzles. I hope you aren't against occasionally using guides. (Also it has good music) -
Bottom of the page, sort by prefix. Also this isn't a subforum...

My first thought was "Oh hey, Pete's exactly a week older than me." Hours later, I discovered that I've been 22 for the past year. That means I won, right? Consolation birthday flowers 4 u <#
