Usa seems to have been a bit MIA for the past couple months, but I wouldn't count this project out atm. A lot of projects are finishing up and that may give us all some time to focus on this one soon, anyone else agree?

Wow, I missed out on this from WAY back when. I also happened to miss out on this game until TODAY. Anyway, this is actually a really awesome mix... Well thought out, creative, nice drums, nice atmosphere. Some of the samples are a bit dated but who cares, the mix is great. Hell, I like this better than I like a lot of the most recent mixes, and there is no nostalgia whatsoever factoring into my critique. Great song.

I don't know why, but this is trippy... What are you doing to my head with this percussion? AHHHHHH! The first three minutes of the song are... well.... ahhhhhh! Okay the theme is in now: Nice Cover/rip, (I am not sarcastic) for what it is, I enjoyed those organ/synths big time. In a way, if this had been made a few years ago, with a little more interpretation, close to RotC material? Funny. For some reason I think Xelebes would enjoy this... Also according to that player, this song sounds like John Mayer and U2? lol

I don't see what the big controversy is about. This song had soul, I felt exactly what it was emoting. That in itself is amazing, and now this is probably one of my favorite vocal mixes on OCR, after just two or three listens. I didn't feel distracted by any of the backing instruments... But that's not the point, a voice is an instrument, it's in the forefront of this song. Everything in the back is... In the back, but it helps drive the vocals along fine enough, gives the song a sense of climax at the right moments, then goes back when needed. Sometimes all a song needs is a small beat. The instruments are minimalist here, but the vocals DEFINITELY are not. I pretty much agree with dhsu, this is what I wish there was more of on this site. I've never really played Max Payne, but this sure as hell makes me want to, just to hear the source of all this wonderfully interpretive vocal emotion.

Alex is awesome. I like this much better after a few listens. Great work dude, as always... Even without beautiful piano :/
