  1. This is a collection of original material that I've created over the years, dusted off for an LP. The download comes with a text file containing track-by-track commentary on the album. So, um... if you're interested at all, there's that. EDIT: I fixed the link. Left-click for Megaupload page Track listing: 01. "Just Run" (8-byte mix) 02. "Peaches and Plums" 03. "About Those Clouds" 04. "Rushing Sweep" 05. "Party at Jacques'" 06. "Property" 07. "Four Minutes After" 08. "Rustling Jam / I Found You" 09. "Coaster Parts" 10. "When the Lights Go Up" 11. "Beyond the Terrace" 12. "Just Run" MORE EDIT: Bonus remixes! "About Those Clouds Trance Mix" by setokaibarocket "Arial Groove" by Zephyr Tread "Apples, Pears and Bananas" by Bundeslang "Another Day, Another Contract" by setokaibarocket "Improperty" by Ichitootah "Tarnished Property" by Willrock07 "The Count Who Defiled My Property" by HoboKa
  2. I live within audible range of an airport, a train station, and a sports stadium, so fuck recording altogether.
  3. This doesn't sound like any breakbeat I ever heard... This is cool anyways, though a little too similar to the original in terms of composition. Also it seems as though it just goes through the themes a couple of times, with not much buildup, no real intro, not much of an outro. Maybe you could throw in a quick solo arpeggio that leads to the first chord. You could experiment with the piece a bit and try to make it more "yours". Oh, and I'm a fan of the Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon soundtrack, so I hope this becomes OCR-worthy. You are planning to develop the track more, right?
  4. ah hahahahahahaha Now I'm gonna go and read all of his posts with this newfound context.
  5. I was thinking more of stuff like at around 2:38, where it skips a backbeat and goes straight to the next measure.
  6. Well, production isn't my strongest point -- as my previous post proves. If I have a strength, it would be with stuff like chord progression. From what I hear, the track doesn't suffer any problems related to that except toward the end (though that's probably deliberate). Okay, now I gotta tool around with my track some more.
  7. Any attempt to make this into a "techno" track would invariably lead to trance.
  8. How does one go about creating that record-slowing-down effect? I'd been trying to do that in my track "Party at Jacques'" that I posted in another thread. I eventually gave up and left the effect out.
  9. ...of sorts. Recently I've been gathering together original material that I've made over the years and dusting it off for an anthology. The plan is to release it free and quietly through the Interweb. Until I get that sorted out, I'm posting a couple of tracks as a single, plus two remixes I submitted to OLR. Left-click for Megaupload page Here are direct links of just the originals: "Party at Jacques'" "Just Run (8-byte mix)" I'm thinking the Jacques track needs a bit of EQ tweaking. Anyways, I'm posting to see if there's any kind of reaction to these tracks, and if it's worth finishing the album.
  10. I knew I wasn't the only one thinking that. Definitely a conspiracy. I came perilously close once.
  11. I was a bit irked when I found out that the album had no end credits medley like in the game. I went ahead and made one using the remixes from the album and a little bit of my own stuff: http://www.zshare.net/audio/1770575657853e61/
  12. Yeah, my thread was changed, too. Now it doesn't match my sig. What's up with that?
  13. ...which would lead to a link to the source cited for that information.
  14. Why do people cite Wikipedia instead of the actual source? That's like tying a boat to another boat instead of a pier.
  15. Heh, I like the title of that illegible tra-- ... Crap, now you got me doing "illegible". It's like a virus...
  16. Heh, "Just a Little More Prime"... Nice unintentional Chairmen of the Board reference, there.
  17. So... did you read the story that sets up this premise, or not? You don't have to, but this critique takes on a different meaning if you had or hadn't.
  18. The F-Zero remix sounds like it was taken straight outta F-Zero X.
  19. I re-download the ThaSauce one, and the same thing happened. However, I just now downloaded the megaupload-hosted versions from mithius.50webs.com and the gaps aren't there! Awesome segues, BTW. I'm gonna try to do that in my remix album.
  20. I would have responded to this a lot quicker if you'd quoted me. Anyways, my iPod/iTunes is supposed to automatically compensate for the MP3 gaps, but isn't doing it for CD1 and CD2. This sometimes happens if an MP3 is re-encoded (doubling the length of the gap), but I'm not sure if that's what happening in my case. After listening again it seems that only some of the tracks have the problem.
  21. I could use more padding for the playlist on my iPod...
  22. I might as well post the original, non-MIDI version: "Peaches and Plums" (original mix)
