  1. This thread convinced me to go right now. Gotta love my IPhone. I posted this from the theatre.
  2. Damn it. Well... I might have to start from scratch again. After coming out with a story, editing a rough storyboard, casting interested people, and finalizing 8 separate locations and shooting dates, I've decided to drop that whole project. If I was smart and was shooting when the project STARTED I could get it done in time no problem. But using the remaining time with the project I had in mind I needed all 8 of those shoots. Then weather, other people not showing, and work (taking fully half of those days away) hit me all at once. I'm now likely to shoot something entirely different either completely indoors, or something animated.
  3. Oh you won alright. I stand by my previous statement. And stevo, in point 4, by editing, did you mean editing like in the last vid, or actual editing?
  4. I just found out about this game when my buddy d/led the version for wii. Anyone play this? I'd love to rip some of your heads off. (I'm referring to the PC version... for now...)
  5. Yeah, 3 years later and a snes song that was one of my favourites actually made me a little paranoid of things that sound like the beginning.
  6. I actually found a few years back that the Kirby's Canvas Curse Soundtrack is perfect for this. -Mixed heavy on the highs makes it impossible to ignore -Catchy upbeat percussion means it inspires energy -Hard to be in a bad mood with kirby ANYTHING; he should be the mascot for prozac
  7. Whatever the other music video project was... forget it. You know you want to.
  8. Easy shooting and/or final storyboard tomorrow. Here's hoping the restaraunt doesn't burn down on my day off.
  9. Man I miss when DDR was big. I'm glad I got to experience it at it's peak. I need to get some friends together to make an outing of it again soon but the machines aren't exactly the biggest money makers for any arcade investor to purchase, they break pretty easily.
  10. Looks great. I'm looking for some interesting, sexy, fun, intelligent, dancey material for DJ sets of late and this definitely fits the bill.
  11. NES had a passing musical influence, Gameboy as well since I never owned one. SNES was and is still my favourite since it was my first. Super Mario World, the first game I got was good and had great tracks, but the soundtrack was moderately dismissible for me at the time given it's showy nature. Now that I stop and think about it, there was a definitive track for me which turned the medium into something profound and reflective. From my second game, mario paint, it was the optional bgm track The composers took a risk here; they included a track that was clearly intended to both inspire creativity and pensiveness, and with a genre most kids wouldn't relate to in the slightest. For those of us who actually did listen to the track, you had to stop and actually think about a few things. It wasn't until this moment that certain soundtracks received tape cassette recordings or certain menu-themes/map-screens were intentionally left without input so I could listen indefinitely. This was the most unnecessary link ever posted on ocr.
  12. Sorry to hear that, but yeah, with ocremix, if you give full credit that doesn't happen.
  13. Ok. I'll bite. Go ahead. Try and describe to me how you would re-enact the STORY of Cho Aniki.
  14. *nod* Good call Darkesword. Let's make sure we do this every year.
  15. I'm with Bleck on this one. Which would you rather have, someone who somehow manages to look completely like a fictional, 2D, hand-drawn, comic character... ...or someone who at very least would put asses in seats and could have a moderately skilled comedic delivery. I'm not exactly a die-hard Cera fan-boy, but I can at least acknowledge that just because people want to punch him doesn't mean he's wrong for this role. A skinny, white, garage band nerd playing a skinny, white, garage band nerd; what's wrong with the casting again? Yes it will sound/look like the Cera from Superbad and from Juno, I still chuckled at the scene where he's investigating about Ramona, ('Who is she? Tell me now.') and that was just a trailer. Also, regardless of how you feel about Cera... every human alive should see this skit: Between Two Ferns; Zach Galifianakis & Michael Cera Canada is awesome.
  16. Here's a quick recap of the last 9 months of ocad: Month 1: "Hey guys let's do a new overclocked remix podcast." Month 9: Gay porn.
  17. Relatedly, I think the PA:TV move was a REALLY good idea on their part. I haven't seen one that I didn't think was really entertaining and 2 Player Productions does an amazing job of mixing in how awesome they all are with a lot heart.
  18. Interesting... facebook is being my friend for this one. It's easier to convince people you're not going to make something totally embarrassing when you have linkable proof that you can make something not totally embarrassing. Also, Marley, the leading lady of my last vid has shown interest in being in this one as well. Interestingly enough, though I met her through a random online talent search, in real life she is now my dental hygenist.
  19. Ooh, I thought I didn't have a solid answer for this but I do. It was either: Super Mario Bros 2 on NES, when I was about 6 years old, about 20 people, and because it was a special pay-to-play attraction in one of the portables in my school that day. OR DDR 7th mix in arcade, when I was about 18, about 20 people, and during the solo portion of a small DDR competition.
  20. Pretty sure PA & OCR are kinda tight in general. I remember one of their PA:TV episodes had a snap of Zircon & Larry Oji wearing ocr shirts at the end... which seemed pretty intentional.
