  1. Odin Sphere is amazing on all but very few accounts. -lots of loading screens, but nothing exceptionally long -slowdown during the biggest of boss battles due to the sheer number of things onscreen -repetitive in nature, but if you've ever enjoyed an MMO, this shouldn't be a problem as it all has a purpose -some characters are so much fun you want to play them more when you should be continuing the story, one is way too powerful On positive notes: +What a story! Man, I'm a sucker for stories, but this one is really just well done. The fact that you have five characters showing their side of it, you get quite the comprehensive storytelling experience. +Alchemy is quite innovative considering the main point of the game. +Gameplay is solid and tight +The entire world looks amazing.
  2. Actually, Young Link isn't leaving...so to speak. He's being replaced by WW Link, which makes some awesome sense. I'd be willing to wager that Sheik will remain as another character if not still attached to Zelda. And hell, I, too, would be livid if Ganon doesn't have his own freaking moveset this time around. Even though the CF moveset is nothing to sneeze at, he really needs to tap into his part of the triforce ffs.
  3. Now you see there's the problem. !Nekko!: Ah, that's right. I didn't realize they were still calling E3 by that name officially. I thought E3 turned into this new E for All and that the old E3 became just a small media thing.
  4. No, sir, that'd be you. There's a little thing called tone. It tends to implicitly indicate how you feel on a certain manner regardless of how explicit you were. Their responses were not unwarranted regardless of how they chose to put it. Anyhow, I don't like the idea of assist trophies. They're a lame version of pokeballs for other non-pokemon characters. Granted, the original trophies were lame and didn't do anything, and to be honest, it is nice that they're including even more characters without making the character select screen four times as large. Just typing this, I've sold myself on these assist trophies. I did a double take when I saw Goroh, man, I thought he was going to be a playable, lol. Edit: What're they calling it now? I remember them changing to something stupid...but it was so stupid that I forgot it quickly. I know they changed the format...but I also recall a name change in the process.
  5. I really wish I could have made something for Zircon cept I was at work which has crappy computers where they disable paint. >.> Anyway...glad to hear you're feeling better!
  6. I do think it is a wavedash, but we don't know if that even exists anymore. It could be a regular landing. It could even be his farting move only slightly charged, which would reduce his landing speed. I also see the validity in the statement saying that it was a bounce, but it's so hard to tell. I'd prefer it if Sakurai keeps making updates about the new characters. I really don't like it too much when they showcase music or items because they're just not as exciting.
  7. Big Apple, 3 AM ohwait wrong game
  8. A smaller pad wouldn't be very viable in my opinion because you want the space for the middle button or you might hit multiple or notes by accident which isn't allowed in PIU (afaik...might have changed with newer mixes). But the fact that you have big feet means you don't have to bother with squatting down to hit multiple arrows in ITG or PIU. My feet barely make it, so I don't always get the notes, so I just exert the extra energy and use my hands...but it gets so tiring.
  9. Okay. From seeing those screens I would say that it's the Fire Emblem stage. You can clearly see the same flags in each of them, which IIRC, are from the latest Fire Emblem. If I'm right...which is rare for any of us to be right, but still, then it brings up two implications I can think of off the top of my head: 1. That stage moves, man. Which gives a good amount of opportunity for stage interaction as well as a more interesting tournament spec. Think about it. If you have tournament style stages, but a fashion in which they rotated around in a map, that would be feasibly for tournament and would still be fun for casual play. For example, take Rainbow Cruise. The boat in itself is fine for a tournament save for the constant left motion...midair bumpers failed and KOs where easier toward one side...but w/e. Now the transition could cause the stage to leave your standard "Final Dest. Only" tourneys (which isn't bad...but some people absolutely -refuse- to do anything else...which bothers me since it only shows a shallow amount of strategy with a flat platform compared to potential strategy with a varied stage...but I ramble), but if taken at set intervals without constant movement except for transitions like Pokemon Stadium, it would be quite awesome. 2. That seems to be form the latest FE...so if they really are replacing Marth and Roy (which I hope they do. they aren't bad, but there are better), we'll probably be seeing Ike taking the stage. I'd take Lyn any day, but whatever happens will work out well I'm sure. Edit:: I can't specifically name the castle that would be if it -was- from the latest FE...that and I haven't completely finished LoZ:TP because I've been lazy about it...sooooo...that just might be another LoZ stage? They did have a couple stages per series in Melee. Oh, btw, while I'm on the topic of stages. I want Fourside to make a comeback. So unfair if you can't wall jump, but still my favorite stage ever.
  10. Shit, son, he's calling you out. He is right, though, that's a large speculation to be pulling from your ass. Also, Atma, when I asked for a reference I mean where did you see the big statue thing? Original trailer? Screenshot? I'd like to see if I can recognize it, but I don't remember ever seeing that in the preview media.
  11. Yo man...I actually have no idea what you're talking about. Give me some kind of reference here.
  12. ILL: I heard about the rumors, too, but adding to your list I heard Lyndis, which got my really excited because she actually has ranged capabilities. atma: I don't think you could ever change fair nor bair on Zelda and ever expect her to be taken seriously. Wario seems to move in a similar fashion to G&W which leads me to believe that he's going to have a similar moveset. This means that each character leaving remains in the game through their concepts and moves. This little theory of mine fails when you see that they haven't mentioned anyone that could replace the Ice Climbers. Anyone got any ideas of what could fit that build? I can't think of any really good ones...which saddens me because I loved that concept. Being able to almost fully control two characters was awesome. You just had to work really hard on staggering your commands for whichever one you made secondary depending on color.
  13. PIU is harder for smaller people to get into...not to be rude, but it just requires covering more distance. You either see taller guys and gals or little kids who jump the distance playing it. You'll rarely see the casual DDR player who's shorter being able to play PIU with some proficiency. I do enjoy it, but just not as much as DDR or ITG. I haven't played in arcade since school let out (RU has a couple in the student center, an extreme and a supernova, really sweet deal @ 50 cents/3 songs, a rare find in this day and age). I have a couple of cobalt fluxes here at home though, so I don't mind too much. (Yea, I'm too lazy to make my own pads and I spoiled myself with them.) The only thing I wish I had is the back bar you need for the hardest songs when you're not uber amazing...32nd note runs make me lose balance far too quickly when I don't have a bar. (Think Anubis on expert. I can easily get an S/S- in the arcade, but fail every time at home...) Edit: Forgot to mention...Bigfoot...you're one of those guys who's big enough to hit multiple arrows with the same foot. ::glare:: That's what holds me back on a LOT of ITG.
  14. I'm all for WW Link replacing Young Link, but please no Midna+Feral Link...so lame. What I'm most excited for at this point is the specifications on Zero Suit Samus (ie, how to obtain/use) and what Fire Emblem character(s) will be making an appearance this time around.
  15. The disguise is male, but Zelda is still female. It's supposed to be done via magic...so she's really changing her form...so the form of Sheik is male, however, Sheik is still Zelda who is female. So by that I would conclude that Sheik is a she.
  16. Down+B for light arrows? Nono. Make it Din's Fire ala Link in OoT then make Side+B your light arrows. That ought to do it just fine. . Actually...looking at it that way, I would really like to see Sheik as a stand-alone...even though I doubt Zelda has much potential without her alternate ego.
  17. Needs more judge hate? Stop freaking out over nothing. Seriously. Get over it, this is the internet.
  18. The medical case would not be video game addiction specifically. There isn't a real medical condition for addiction. The closest I can think of is OCD or something along the lines of a psychological defect. The general public gets way too many hard-ons when video games are involved whether it be in a positive for negative light. Jack Thompson, I'm fucking looking at you.
  19. Just looking at the steps (at work...no audio), if it wasn't in the shitty FFR format, it probably would be a decently hard song for fingers...I'm pretty sure I lack the physical stamina to do a song like that on feet because I'm currently out of shape, but for a keyboard that isn't too bad.
  20. Haha, that's awesome. I wish I was geeky enough to even know how to get them to sound like that...unfortunately I know nothing of Tesla coils.
  21. I'm not certain about the flower generated from Lip's Stick...I don't think it should...but it might.
  22. Yes it did. KO credit is given to the person who last dealt damage. I've had my fun jumping off the edge so I could spike and steal a kill when I already had enough stock to allow a wasted life, but using Fox's blaster is pretty tough in terms of KSing...Falco's was better suited because it had a form of knockback even though it allowed them to perform another Up+B.
  23. Thank God I was right about his reflector not being a mine. The shape and color were dead giveaways, but still, I wouldn't quite enjoy having a different moveset on Fox. By the look of his blaster and how it hasn't changed in terms of gameplay, I do think Falco will still be present...but probably changed in some substantial manner.
