  1. You can thank No Script, Adblock, and programs like them for that. Perhaps you should request people to not block them on OCR.
  2. Timely arrival, but did not do what was expected- Will not call again!
  3. Change the title to "Nintendo comics for sale", and people will flood to this thread
  4. The cops knew exactly what it was in the window. They just wanted an excuse to "cop" a feel on it as it were.
  5. You hate Batman?
  6. Pinball games you say? http://irpinball.ztnet.com/ Go. Donwload. Enjoy. Also, try Dragon's Fury on the Genesis. It's a port of the TG-16's Devil's Crush, but with better music and graphics. Avoid Dragon's Revenge, which is a sequel made by Tengen that looks alright, but plays rather poorly.
  7. No video game work, no video game ties, and have not met even a semi-famous game maker. 'Tis sad, I know
  8. Sadly, I missed out on the PC games of old. When I was younger, the closest thing to a computer that I owned was an Atari XE (which I still have, and love). Some of my friends had C64s, C128s, and one even had an older IBM, but I rarely got to play anything on them. My first PC came in 2001, by which time even Quake 3 was 'old'. But, little by little since then, I've been finding the games I missed out on. The Immortal, Nova 9, Stellar 7, Might and Magic 1-8, Silpheed, the first three Wing Commander games, MechWarrior 2, a good number of the FPSs that came out (Wolfenstein 3D to Blood)... stuff like that. I've yet to venture into the old Lucas Arts adventure games though, as some of the prices that the more popular ones go for are ridiculous at times. Someday I'll take the plunge though.
  9. I was just about to edit my post after a Google search, but Wilhelm it is, and here it is... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm_scream Thanks nonetheless, Abadoss.
  10. If I recall, isn't there another "used in many films" scream that crops up in the Indiana Jones trilogy (back when it was a trilogy)? It's usually used for enemy soldiers as they fall as well.
  11. Read the content policy, and come up with a catchy/goofy name or acronym of your own. When you're ready, make a new thread announcing the new podcast, and then you'll be good to go. No "ownership" drama, no "permission" needs, no "OCR representation quality" arguments (which I'm sure will come up with the VGDJ name), no nothing. Just you, some mixes, and a little chit-chat scattered in-between for however long you feel like doing it. That's my advice.
  12. Oh, I know the goofy commentary that gets unleashed by some folks. But, the inability of those folks to keep to themselves over the mere mentioning of a game character shouldn't be a deciding sig factor here. Sure, some will do it just to be a smart ass since bashing the game's reached meme-like levels, but a part of me would like to think that the majority of folks here have gotten past the "OMFGROFL U LIEK Ff7!" foolishness by now.
  13. Why should he/she? It's not breaking any rules. If an anti-FF7 fanboy gives him/her shit, he/she can ignore them... quite literally now with vBulletin. Would you remove your Kirby sig if some folks gave you shit for having it? ... Didn't think so
  14. I think you need something for the Quick Links on the left... especially the last two links. "Music" and "Biography/Misc" almost vanish into the background art, so perhaps a borderless table with a semi-transparent background for each row could be used to help them stand out more, without blotting out the BG art.
  15. No problem. At nearly a year since its last post, I'm not surprised you didn't know about it But never fear a little necro-bumping if it's actually adding something. No one will bite your head off... I think...
  16. Yeah, I brought up that unreleased zip last year here. We named a good amount of them, but not all of them.

  18. I enjoyed that mod. But I think if id had done that, they would have gotten even more criticism about a lack of creativity in their maps, than they did for their flashlight
  19. Patootie? Them's fightin' words varmint! - No squad tactics - No puzzles - No vehicles - No sneaking - No "can only carry a few weapons" restrictions - No stationary battles as waves of enemies come at you - No alternate firing modes for the weapons In other words, a lot of the things that have been added to the FPS genre over the years were tossed by the wayside to keep Doom 3's gameplay close to the original games. Yes there were changes (fewer monsters, much darker atmosphere and lighting, crouch/jump, etc.), but the overall gameplay was still very much straight out of 1993 and 1994 (which many bitched about if you recall).
  20. You're not. I enjoyed Doom 3 a lot more than HL2. The darkness, the flashlight, the atmosphere, the gameplay that stayed close to the original pair of games (trio if you count 'Final')... I enjoyed every minute of it, and I still have it installed on my PC. So many people bitched about how dark the game was, to which I say, "Well duh." You're in buildings, the lights aren't working well (if at all), there are few windows, so it's gonna be pretty damn dark And this comes from someone who loves the first three DOS games. My questions are this... - Is this going to be a retelling of 'Hell On Earth'? - Will this use the id Tech 5 engine, or will it use a tweaked version of the Doom 3 (id Tech 4) engine?
