  1. Well, there you go. If you like it, get it Hopefully you've tried out a few other ones too. IIRC you can negotiate a lower price at guitar center, if someone else has the same thing for cheaper, they'll give you that price to make the sale. Not sure how it works for online stores though, I doubt they'll check eBay but maybe musicansfriend or zzounds.
  2. Well, on the plus side, most of it is total shit, so we don't need to watch EVERYTHING It's just seeing a huge image like that makes it seem a bit... overwhelming.
  3. I'm looking forward to the Nodame Cantabile there also: new hokuto no ken series? goddam There's SO MUCH NEW ANIME OUT and I'm still stuck in the 80s basically, haha
  4. They're making another season of Zeta Gundam? I don't see how that's possible
  5. Atma By the way, anyone willing to room with me? I will rock your world. I think this time I will try to share with just 1 person, because I like beds, though I'll join one of those smelly overpopulated rooms if I have to
  6. I'm having a hard time thinking of a song to do :'3 anyone else in this besides me and avaris?
  7. But wouldn't HL2 be a "futuristic FPS"
  8. Wait for it to get rejected by the judges honestly it's probably just an anomaly - if it happens again let djp [or liontamer?] know.
  9. Here's a few of my favourites, mostly single player: Minerva http://www.moddb.com/mods/minerva Mistake of Pythagoras http://www.moddb.com/mods/mistake-of-pythagoras Heart of Evil: Source [a source port of a classic HL1 mod] http://www.moddb.com/mods/heart-of-evil-source And yes Garry's mod. Get Gmod10 off Steam if you have the 10 bux :3 I am playing through something right now called "Get a Life" which is kind of a silly mod but scary at parts, it's good but some things bug me about it, it has the "Doom 3 flashlight feature" for example. Also spiders. I should probably go mod-hunting again once I have the time. I had a shitload of great mods for HL1
  10. As is tradition since 2004, October is Halloween competition month at Anime Remix! Here's this year's rules: [1]The songs are due October 30th at 23:59 Eastern U.S. time, the day before Halloween, so we can all listen to the songs on Halloween. [2]The songs must be in mp3, ogg, or wma format [if you're into that sort of thing]. There is no limit on length, though try to make the song longer than a minute. [3]The song must be a remix of a song from a dark/horror-themed/halloween-ish animation OR a dark/horror-themed remix of any animation [e.g. a demented version of the Chipmunk's theme song] [4]When you finish, find hosting for your song [senduit or rapidshare, or your own webspace, etc, as long as it's not a hassle to download] and private message me on the Anime Remix messageboard with the link, or send me the song through IRC, I'll usually be in #animeremix on EsperNet. Have fun everyone! I'm looking forward to some great entries like last year! Speaking of which, here's the previous years songs: 2004 2005 2006 2007
  11. For under $120 you can find an old velocity sensitive keyboard on Ebay. I also recommend thrift stores or flea markets if you have any near your house. I also found a keyboard in a dumpster once [Yamaha SY-22] so look there too if you want Thing is most of these are synths or playing keyboards so they don't have all the control knobs or USB support of modern midi controllers, but that's why you pay more for the new ones. Still, getting an Ensoniq ESQ1 at a garage sale for $40... you can't beat that
  12. Or all the cool people can listen to the .it in XMPlay It started off kinda dumb but once the arps came in it was pretty cool. You should put a B05 at the end of the second to last pattern so it loops instead of having an ending. Also, don't forget song cleanup, n00b! Good job though, I looped it a few times
  13. [21:50:01] <atmuh> ya its over [21:50:04] <atmuh> past midnight sry linkjing
  14. I never had a N64 so I don't really know what the hell it was. You open up a cover on the top of the console at the back, and there's some cartride inside that you can take out.
  15. I see N64s all the time at the thrift store, you should see if you can find one - won't run you more than $30 probably [if they have the complete package]. I know my stores will just throw them out on the shelf, no cords or anything, for like $5 D: Also people steal that internal memory thing all the time :[? Bunch of dicks I say. They also pocket the cartridges off of the old turntables...
  16. I have a stack of sega genesis games about 4-5 feet high :3 I'm still buying genesis games from thrift stores every now and then - recently picked up Sonic Spinball, 688 Attack Sub, Sub-Terrania, Road Rash II, Revenge of Shinobi etc I also have a few japanese megadrive games that fortunately can be loaded via my Game Genie I got this haul one day: http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/6326/megadoraibuff7hl5.jpg 6 Megadrive games. Even Moonwalker D: which is fucking hilarious to play I also recently scored a SNES but the only game I have for it right now is F-Zero :'3
  17. haha yes and this is another good point - don't try to compare your stuff to better music [lol zircon = better music am i rite :3] though it's a good idea to borrow from that music to learn what you need to do. When I was starting out I didn't really know zircon, though now he's one of the few of remaining Soundtempest crew left so I appreciate him Back then though, I had... Injury and Children of the Monkey Machine, which seemed to work well enough for me - Sometimes I wonder how much different my music would sound if I had known different people.
  18. This is a good question - why aren't you having fun? remove the anomaly and play on Also yeah I actually agree with WBS here - i think the randomized shit in SSBM is fun and I don't see why people need to remove it. Every game community seems to evolve strange rules [example: counterstrike's "AWP camping faggorts"] that they think should be forced on the game when really it's more fun the designers intended - I've never had a problem with crits ever, I don't see how it makes the game "unfair" and I've never been left wondering or caring about the science behind them, and I think it adds a nice factor of "chance" to the game making it more unpredictable.
