You just need to work on using more channels, possibly find better samples somewhere [short of pirating.... maybe], and fill out your songs with at least drums and some bass

I think that "OtaKing" guy died recently, iirc But yeah that's a really good series of videos. FUCK these multicolored bubbly fansubs, translators notes and honorifics. But hell, I'd be happy with just a plain yellow arial font subtitle. ARIAL, okay? The only way to get that now, is to either buy anime from professionals like ADV or Geneon... or just download DVD rips I can't remember seeing any recently-fansubbed anime that didn't have shit like OtaKing points out in his videos. There is however, a silver lining to this fansub nonsense - they teach you so much Japanese that you can eventually watch most anime without subtitles at all, eliminating the need for fansubs in the first place. Booyah!

You're gonna have to go at least over $50-60 for "studio quality." I got my AKG K240s on eBay for about $85 and they've been pretty reliable so far.

I love all the threads in this section that are in no way FL Studio related. I learn all or most of the songs I arrange on the piano, first. That makes it easier to mess with the song in my head :3

How many places up do you have to be to be in the quarterfinals? I have 23rd in Experimental right now. It's probably like, the top 15 places in the channel or some shit. Still, that's an improvement from previous months.

One of the few times game music pissed me off is with the Metroid Prime series. MP1 had great music, but then the quality dropped off steadily after that. The temple grounds music in MP2 makes me want to stab Kenji Yamamoto in the ears. Did none of the QA or tester people notice that THE GONG IS HIT EVERY 3 SECONDS from when you enter the area until you leave? Good lord.

I have the VSTi too. Seems kind of redundant The SQ80 is basically a ESQ1 but better, but I don't have the SQ80 They still sound the same though, and this thing has great sound.

Sample libraries are a different matter though. Not very many good free ones there but what kind of samples are you looking for?
