The campaign is supposed to be very short. Probably because it was supposed to be part of Halo 2. Oh well. Also, I sincerely hope no one here bought this because it was a flavor of Mountain Dew. I mean come on, who would possibly get the drink, say "oh man, this tastes GREAT." and somehow put it together that halo 3 must be great? Urgh. As I said elsewhere, the marketing for this game is finally pushing even my annoyance levels with APPLE marketing. That's saying something.

Of course it'd have to use the voice samples from Moonwalker. Haha, his taunt: "Who's bad?!"

If no one does, the game is going to get ruined for 90% of those who use the internet with any regularity, are gamers, and haven't played FF7. Simple as that. I don't see any problem with not wanting that to happen. All that aside, does anyone know why there's the sudden re-invigoration of interest in the FFT series? Two more sequels, both planned and announced out of nowhere?

You know full well Sonic is probably doubly likely to appear as compared to Mega Man. Not to say it wouldn't be amazing, because I think it would. That aside, we've got to hit page 1000 before the game is released! We can do it. Mostly I'm just curious what happens because the little boxes don't have enough room for four digits. Do they just expand a bit or does the 1000 get cut off?

For an interesting vocal version (I still prefer the instrumental ones, but whatever), check out the version by Angélique Kidjo. It's on the album Djin Djin, and it actually has lyrics for rhythm. It's at least something different, for sure. /derailment

Either way you'd sacrifice a lot of sound quality, and there's two reasons that immediately gets rid of any reason I'd want a portable CT (obviously though if it were the only option then I'd get it anyway, but): 1. All the music would be muffled, tinny, and just bad sounding in general, and the music is extremely important to the mood in that game. 2. The sound for Luminaire would get screwed up! That's one of the best sounds in a video game ever.

I'm really glad the Orange Box comes with HL2 and ep1. I was one of the unfortunate few to play a friend's copy and never own it.

And speaking of that, I seem to remember a rumor that Rayman MIGHT be included. Personally I think this seems relatively likely - he's a mascot that's appeared in a (for a time) Wii-exclusive game, and he's been in many games on Nintendo consoles in the past. Plus I mean to be honest there aren't really many mascots from other companies that COULD be used other than himself and Sonic.

If they try to recreate Chrono Trigger all they'll do is saturate it with all the crap I hate about Final Fantasy games and lose the magic that made it so good. No offense to FF fans. I think a port to DS or VC (ideally) is probably the best option.

Unfortunately I've heard they've also added lots more text and talk than the first game. Can anyone confirm?

I preordered it and I've been playing TF2 today. It's amazing. They took everything good about the first one and made it way better. The graphic style is what really gets me though - it's just incredible. It runs really smooth, it's incredibly hectic, and it's hilarious.

I do wish people would be at least considerate regarding spoilers. The oldness of the game (or whatever it is) be damned - spoiler warnings should always be there when people talk about the endings of things. This thread didn't spoil FF7 for me, but it reminds me of how it must have wound up happening (I don't remember now). While FF7 has never particularly interested me, I've always heard it's one of the best games ever. But seeing this kind of thing just makes me just not even want to play the damn game, because I know the whole time I'd be thinking "Oh, Aeris isn't dead yet. I wonder when Aeris dies. Yeah, none of that matters because you're going to die at the end." This is just how Cowboy Bebop was for me - I enjoyed it (it's my favorite anime) but it was spoiled for me by someone here before I finished it. I'm just thankful I was able to play some of the games that were most important to me through to the end with no spoilers beforehand. Putting something like this in the thread title pretty much assures that anyone even visiting this site at all is going to have the ending of ff7 spoiled, simple as that. You didn't set me off ranting by the way, it was a thread elsewhere where the title of the thread spoiled the ending of Halo 3 (luckily another game I'll probably never play). Just beware.

Sorry, I don't really follow you on this. What number method are you talking about?

The closest to a favorites list available is the Top 100 list here: http://oc.ormgas.com/ocmain.php But I really disagree with most of it. Since they don't seem to allow this kind of stuff, just start with games you know and download as many as possible - once you've listened and find certain artists you like, get everything else they've done. By that point if you're still not tired of it, just start listening to the radio station available on the above link (random mixes) until you hear more you really like, then download those. After that, I guess either download the torrents if you want them all or just start getting each new one as it comes out. All of that is what I did when I first came here, and I'm satisfied with the smallish/medium number of them I've kept.

Annoying/bad as he is, I do wish we wouldn't keep bumping this thread every couple months.
