  1. Did you download them as mp3s or m4as? I'm not entirely sure that Winamp plays m4a files. Also, I think Apple had some kind of file protection on their early music files so you might want to look into that. I haven't used any other MP3 player other than Winamp so I can't really give you any recommendations for another light player.
  2. I've been playing Lost Odyssey recently and I would hope that a remixer would pick up ANY track from this game. But I would like "A Sign of Hope" to be remixed specifically. I have no specific genre to request as I want to know what you the remixer can do with such a pretty and heart-warming song. Here's a Youtube link: And I'm just going to bump up my old request (that was never done) of Goldenrod City from Pokemon remixed in a style reminiscent of Pachelbel. Oh and I almost forgot, thank you for considering my request.
  3. Been playing since Tuesday night. I'm at level 21 right now and just started a little guild. Right now the story is kinda lacking, it only seems to be getting into it after level 20. 1-20 is a little grindy with all the killing quests, but the monsters are easier to kill when compared to WoW.
  4. Because I recently rediscovered console RPGs and have had no life (again) since then.
  5. You obviously didn't look very hard: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=16566
  6. Funny commentary. Forget playing it earlier, you need to play while you're about to fall asleep.
  7. Suddenly, a plane crash lands on Samuel L. Jackson.
  8. You guys saved me for this weekend. I'm without my iPod and with a newly reformatted computer. I was starving for music and remembered about Ormgas and loaded it up and had beautiful music for the weekend!
  9. $13 for the Fire Emblem game, shipped. Same deal as last time I posted, I can get the game for a similar price on eBay and new for a couple bucks more, but like djp said, I'd rather give the money to you.
  10. Willing to give you $10 for FFIV. Found some on eBay that ended for as low as $5-6 and some that finished higher but those were typically brand new and sealed.
  11. That or just get it built by Prophet of Mephisto here at OCR.
  12. I'm having issues with the toolbars in Firefox 3 displaying correctly when Guild Wars is running. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but often enough to annoy me. What happens is that Firefox takes forever to take focus and that anything that's not the website (e.g. toolbars, menus, etc.) will not display until I mouse over them. Anyone have a similar problem or have any suggestions on how to fix it? I've already reinstalled the latest drivers for my graphics card.
  13. Thus the whole issue is ambiguous at best!
  14. If anything, this game says it's okay to be fat because it helps you win.
  15. I have a really cute Bytecc external enclosure/case for my hard drive. It's an IDE hookup though, but I'm sure there are SATA versions of it out there. Picked up that case for about $30, perfect for the price, it's durable, has some stand pegs to help prevent overheating, and cute penguins on the side.
  16. There are a couple of options for you. If you're just uploading a couple files, file sharing sites like www.rapidshare.com and www.megaupload.com would be for you. Though you have to keep track of the download links they gave you. If you're uploading more than that, then you can get some webhosting from a company. Depending on how much you want to upload (i.e. file sizes), you can get free webhosting that provides small amounts of webspace (i.e. 100mb) or you can pay for webhosting that gives you several gigs of space. Since you're just looking for a place to upload things, you can get a cheapo webhosting service that has FTP service (most if not all do) for a few dollars a month. FTP is just assigning a user name and a password to a directory on your website (sorta). Just how you go about this will be different depending on the control panel you get with your website, but it's very simple and easy to figure out when you're looking at it. Someone else here might be able to explain it better than me.
  17. One year closer to whatever it is you may desire. Happy birthday!
  18. Most of those bots are run by Chinese farmers but every region that has a licensed version of this game is IP blocked. No Chinese, no Malaysians, no Japanese, no Philippines, and whatever else I forgot. True, some bots do run from inside the US, but since the levels are so high, and I bet most of the best loot is probably going to be in instances, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. By the way, I'll be starting a casual guild where it'll be more like a community of friends rather than of gamers, if anyone's interested you're free to join up. =) @DarkeSword: I don't really find any MMO being on a mostly skill-based measurement, except Guild Wars because of it's limit on 8 skills in the skillbar. On the other hand, I find that PvP and raid aspects such as those found in WoW do require more skill/thought than just running around killing stuff, though most people will bitch at you for having shitty equipment. Like what Zeratul said, you can't really measure that until you get into the game. EDIT: And does anyone really like that music in the teaser video on the front page? Someone should remix it >_>
  19. Already created an account and assigned my beta key when the registration opened up. Hopefully all my excitement won't be for nothing.
  20. The negative stigma against fanfiction has come about just like any stereotype, it's more often than not, true. I will say that most fanfiction is bad because that's my opinion of the sample of fanfiction I did read. The others I read were not bad, but hardly works of art. And anything else I wanted to say was already said by Triad.
  21. Nah it's the Playstation re-release, unfortunately. Oh yeah, Radical Dreamers I haven't played, but I love the remix project that got released. Scar Sealing Girl is actually my favorite from the project.
  22. You, my good sir, are in luck. I just did the same rig the other day ago when hooking up my xbox 360 to my new monitor. First off, you'll need a Y-converter for your red and white (RCA/phono jacks) audio plugs. The Y-converter you need has to have female RCA jacks (one for red and one for white) and at the other end, a male 1/8th inch STEREO audio plug. I'm assuming you plug your speakers into your audio card via a standard headphones/audio jack which is 1/8th inch. Make sure you do NOT get the 1/4th inch one (it won't fit) and that you also check that it is STEREO so you have stereo sound. Anyway, the last thing you need to get is a 1/8th inch coupler (female jacks on both sides.) All of these items can be obtained from your local Radio Shack for under $10. Here's a list of examples of the stuff you need: Y-adapter (they also come in corded versions): http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103225&cp=&sr=1&origkw=rca+y+adapter&kw=rca+y+adapter&parentPage=search 1/8th audio coupler: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102697&cp=&sr=1&origkw=1%2F8+coupler&kw=1%2F8+coupler&parentPage=search That's it for the parts. To hook up your console to your speakers, just plug your red and white audio plugs into the y-adapter, and then plug the 1/8th end of the adapter into one side of the coupler. The other side of the coupler should have your speaker jack plugged into it. Basically, this makes a direct line from your console to your speakers, it looks weird, but it works just as good as plugging them straight into your TV. With this setup you can also use your headphones to play quietly at night. Enjoy!
