  1. In the case of FF4...SPOILARS AHEAD! EVERYOOOOOOOOOONE!!!!111one (brownie pts for those who knows this quote)
  2. I'm willing to sell just the console w/20gb HDD for $105 and w/out HDD for $90, shipping included. The reason for the pricing is that it's hard to get just a console and HDD off of ebay without buying the whole wazoo (console, HDD, cables, etc.) Getting a 20gb HDD by itself on ebay costs about $35-40. I buy the broken Xboxes off of ebay and they usually come with a 20gb HDD (along with cables)and no HDMI port since they're older. I haven't seen any of the recent Falcon models for sale, presumably since they haven't had the time to break yet. Because of money constraints, I only have a few Xboxes on hand, if any, when I get an order. Usually I get an order, then I buy the console off of eBay, fix it when it arrives, and then ship it out asap.
  3. An update for me as well: Selling: Refurbished Xbox 360s price depends on what accessories I sell with it. I usually sell with all the accessories that come with the premium package. Price range: $100-$135 (no to full accessories) + $15 shipping. 2-3 day USPS priority mail shipping.
  4. Their sample of Fur Elise is terrible. I haven't looked at the sequencer myself but if Fur Elise is an example of their guitar sample then they have no hope. As an owner of both Rock Band 2 and World Tour I think that RB2 blows WT out of the water in almost every aspect.
  5. $250-$300 sounds really tempting, but I can't bear to not have my Chansey...and Alakazam...and Charizard...and...Jigglypuff!
  6. Usually whole systems go for about $135-150 with shipping included. I usually keep the seals intact since all it takes is to heat up the seal with a hair dryer and the adhesive melts a bit and it comes right off. That way you always have the option of going to Microsoft with it. Special 360 systems would cost you a bit more since it's quite a bit more labor. PM me if you want more details.
  7. Could you add a service for me? I fix Xbox 360s with 2RL and 3RL errors (aka Red Rings of Death). The price goes for about $25-30 plus shipping. And a want ad: And I'm also looking for Xbox 360s with said RRoD with power cable/block and AV cables included. Prices are negotiable. PM me if you want to get your broken 360 fixed or sold.
  8. I fixed my Xbox 360 myself and it's worked perfectly ever since. If you want I can fix your Xbox for you (assuming you still have it). Though I charge $25 for labor and parts and to ship an Xbox in a flat rate box it costs about $13 each way. Or I'll also buy the console and the cables off you for a fair price. PM if you're interested.
  9. Eh, it could be it could not be. I'm not asking for anything video game related this year, since I don't really play that much anymore.
  10. I was just about to link that because I saw it in my Newegg newsletter. I usually don't subscribe to ads but Newegg has a lot of good deals.
  11. This is correct except instead of USB it's an ethernet cable. Then have your laptop connect to the internet. Here's some copy pasta
  12. I listed a "favorite" ReMix but only on the basis of how many listens I have accrued on it; and then I mentioned how I really can't pick a favorite.
  13. I'd get a quote from Prophet and then you should ask for a list of alternate parts that would work just as well or within a threshold of specs that you want. Then you should subscribe to the Newegg newsletter. Over the past several weeks I've seen awesome prices on storage, memory, power supplies, mobos, you name it. Enough variation to buy a new computer. That's where the list of alternate parts comes in. Buying the parts over time would compliment this strategy.
  14. Music is a core part of almost any video game genre. Personally, however, I give an exception to MMORPGs because they do not efficiently set an appropriate mood to the action. Like TheDamned, I play my own music in Winamp in the background. Some games like Counter-Strike don't even have music while you play (normally.) The latest generation of consoles allow you to play your own music while playing games, a feature that was not available before. Even games like Metal Gear Solid 4 allow you to listen to music tracks found as items in the game world on your virtual iPod.
  15. For memory, 32bit(standard...for now) systems only get something like 3.5gigs of RAM max even though you can slot 4. If you really want more than that, you should look into 64bit stuff.
  16. We didn't win on Ideablob, but my friend is still working on developing and refining his technology. He just lacks the funds to hire a lawyer to patent and protect his idea.
  17. I'm doing first year Japanese myself. Pretty much in the same place you are as far as class progress goes. I would offer to help out but I'm hardly ever at the computer anymore. Have you asked your teacher about getting help from native speakers? At my school (and many others) there are places where you can just sit down and a native Japanese speaker will come and converse with you to help you with your Japanese. In exchange you speak English to them to help them with their English.
  18. I quit CS 1.6 because of the advertisements that were integrated into the game. Spawning as a CT on de_dust2 annoyed the hell out of me. Then I decided to grow up and just not give a shit anymore. And honestly, I don't even really notice advertisements anymore.
  19. Save yourself the trouble. Here's one I've been using recently: http://www.dragonmedia.us/programs/kana.swf It has both hiragana and katakana. The user interface is confusing at first but it's a great flash once you get used to it.
  20. My internet life and real life intersect a lot. Most of my friends in real life are the ones I talk to and play games with online. I even met a guy in Florida and he flew out to my apartment to chill with me and other friends (that he also knew over the internet and I know irl) and it was a blast. This whole isolation thing is too extreme. The chances of you getting killed by some guy over the internet is slim to none. This guy just happened to piss off the one guy who would go and do that.
  21. Ah I apologize. I wasn't realizing that he was referring to my response. My bad. But yes, I was going to get Bryan to explain to him about Boron and I completely disregarded the adamantium comment because it was so absurd. Again my apologies. v_v
  22. I don't know the specifics myself since all the science and math is out of my realm of understanding. But I'll try to relay your questions to Bryan who can provide details of the project in greater clarity.
