  1. I fix RRoDs but to do so I void the warranty. I can make it look like I didn't open it because I can open the case without breaking the seal but it's never a sure shot deal because there are other signs that show it's been opened. Sending it back to MS doesn't directly fix the problem either. Many people report that their "fixed" units RRoD again some time down the line. RRoDs result from a combination of heat and pressure problems with the GPU, CPU, and the motherboard as a whole. If your friend wants me to fix it just PM me. Price is $30 for the labor and it'll cost $26 (maybe less for just the console I base that price off of the large flat rate box from USPS) for shipping combined both ways. EDIT: It's $19.60 (total both ways) for a smaller flat rate shipping box from USPS.
  2. Harle hater!! I submitted a full set when Liontamer was taking submissions before the switch to vBulletin. But yeah, they weren't cleaned up because I failed at Photoshopping and cropping. But since I got Harle accepted I got lazy and didn't remake the others.
  3. I don't think he meant to diss Star Control. I had the same reaction because I actually DON'T know what Star Control is/was. Same thing with Castle Crashers. Everyone seems to be on edge these days or something...
  4. Well if it was the hard drive I would think it would affect both the OSX and XP partitions.
  5. I do the exact same thing back when estavao ran the chess tournies. He used to put down our avatars in the chart where our names were in the same cross-section.
  6. Reading comprehension is such a useful skill!
  7. Overcoat, are you running the NoScript FireFox plugin by any chance? I was and allowed some stuff on my page and it updated it to the most current version.
  8. ID3 tags are what gives MP3 files their data. ID3 tags contain stuff like artist name, track number, song title, disc number, etc. etc. So see if the MP3s have track numbers in the tags. I'm not sure how to check in WMP because I use Winamp for listening and iTunes for tag editing.
  9. Troll thread complete with thumbs down thread icon!
  10. A lot of the Chrono Cross ones I did when I was younger sucked because of trace pixels I couldn't see. But I think I'll redo them and resubmit them so there's a complete set out on OCR.
  11. I hear the similarity on a small scale, but I think that may just be a case of "hearing what one wants to hear" thing.
  12. His opinion is fine, his methods reek of 4chan troll. Come on, "spoiler"? Seriously?
  13. Counter-point to your counter-point. I believe the original "stupid people" quote was supposed to be a given. He's saying that people who are already stupid happen to listen to mainstream music because it's fashionable. NOT because mainstream music MAKES people stupid.
  14. That's not being a sucker, "friend." That's hopping on an opportunity that doesn't come by very often. And it's a great thing to put down on any resume. Don't think so one dimensionally. Like I said, money isn't everything. And being a dick on a forum isn't going to get your point across any better.
  15. He's mistaking Garry's Mod, a sandbox game, for the Source SDK. You get the SDK for free with HL2.
  16. I don't think people care whether or not they're paid for doing something they love. Money isn't everything.
  17. Not sure if Sivak Drac has been featured on DX-music but here's the link to his stuff: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=111104 It's mostly, if not all, piano arrangements but they're pretty cool. I especially like Hong Kong Sonata.
  18. The Zelda games are for the Game Boy Color.
  19. It's this one. I'm actually not sure if it is the full thing or not. http://books.google.com/books?id=Oppx9ZY559wC&printsec=frontcover&dq=
  20. I never thought it was hilarious as much as a way to say "you got owned."
  21. Wow Sony. I always appreciated backwards compatibility and was glad that my Xbox 360 could play games like X-Men Legends that I loved to play but would not keep that old brick of a system to play it on. Is Sony taking that out backwards compatibility because of production costs? I know 360s emulate their old games via software on the hard disk so it's not even an issue in production.
  22. I have Descartes' Meditations, but it's a combined book with his Discourse on Method. They were a required reading in my Humanities course. I don't know how much it is to ship but I'll part with it for a fair (or a cheap) price. PM me.
  23. It's not so much knowing how many frames it is or the specific frame but just having a feel for doing the move(s). It took me many weeks to learn how to cancel Ken's (in 3rd Strike) uppercut into a fierce Shoryuken and then cancel that into his SAIII. And I think the PS3 controller is an excellent controller, at least for 3rd Strike.
