  1. Hey guys! So this is my first time posting on OCRemix, a friend of mine suggested I check out your robust and diverse community and share my track here as well. I just uploaded the final track on Soundcloud to be released next week, so I'll be sharing the private link here for all you lovely people to check out You can check it out here!
  2. This is a piece I composed with Wassup Thunder. And yes, it is another Song of Storms. The intent was to explore the source material liberally and make a somewhat memorable arrangement. Still working on better production with synthesizers, so any tips are appreciated. Thanks for listening! The original, just in case.
  3. This remix has been a work in progress for a long time. I wanted to mash together a number of favorite tracks from the Donkey Kong Country and Land series of games. I had a lot of trouble getting things to work well together and ended up pretty much abandoning the project (very disappointed). I decided to swap out a few instruments for the new FLEX synth in FL Studio and managed to at least finish the thing. It is definitely not at the quality level where I would have liked it but I don't want to really continue working on it either. I'm posting it anyway. I still find it personally enjoyable PS: ever since I started sharing tracks on OCR I've been having this nagging voice in my head that keeps saying "They're sure to point out the lack of humanization". This is one of the toughest things to get right for me and I don't need the added pressure from voices inside or outside my head Now, no one is actually putting that pressure on me; its just my insecurity. I'm trying to let it go, as well as weird ideas of supposed expectations people have of me.
  4. Finished my new 8-track album! VGM inspired Electronica. A bit atmospheric and melancholic, but I enjoyed working on it. https://audiocolor.bandcamp.com/album/diamond-in-the-rough

  7. ok I know this is kinda barebones at the moment(no plugin mixing applied yet), but I was hoping for maybe a little guidance (just a little). I love the source, but the loop isn't really that long and I am trying to figure out ways to flesh this out to at least the 3 or 4 minute range without it being too repetitive. Here is the source and here is my version, which is a bit faster with a higher octave range
  8. I couldn't find any real recreations of this on the internet, so I remade the entire track from by ear. https://soundcloud.com/map3music/agent-xzx-spectrum-remix original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOZ8rbmlWrk
  9. So This is the most recent version. I think it's at a point where I'd consider submitting it. I'd just like to get some final feedback and confirmation. My biggest concern is just that my remix might sound too stiff and mechanical (like as far as the beat and timing). Does it need a bit of humanization? I can't really tell if it does, myself. And if it does, I'm not sure how to go about properly fixing it. Any help at all is appreciated! I'd just like to get some advice and criticism regarding stuff the overall sound quality, synth choices, and general composition. I'd really like to submit this for judging sometime, so I want to make sure I've taken care of all the little details to make it good and polished. A couple specific concerns I had involved the drums and synth I used at 2:10. I want to make sure the drums aren't sounding too repetitive and that transitions between sources are smooth enough. The problem with the synth is just preference, really. Does it actually sound good to other people? I like it, personally, but at the same time, I don't know if it fits the mood of the track. Let me know if anything sounds weird. Any feedback is appreciated. 11. Taking a look back, I made music for points in my life... Places I wound up mentally. So, this was my desire to see the cosmos. Every blink of light and every violent storm is a more welcome home than Earth would have ever been. I'd sail a lonely path in exchange for never-ending discovery.
