https://youtu.be/8aodQM1D2rc One saturday evening my three kids and wife sat down and watched a movie (we do not often succeed on doing this) and the kids wanted to watch Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (they wanted it because it is named Monster Vacation here in Sweden). The inspiration came from the song that was played during Dracula's dance scene - "I See Love" by Jonas Blue. I liked the idea of combining my retro synth style with a more modern style, I think this is the first time I consciously do that. This also resulted in a more or less complete makeover of the Flying Battery theme, I hope you all appreciate what became of it As I wrote in my teaser post for this, the vibes coming from this kind of resembles or reminds me of the end of summer vacation and that life goes back to work and labor. With that in mind I hope you all have the courage to pursue your dreams and never give up getting to that work position you want. Start small, take a small step outside you comfort zone, take a step back, and then again a bigger step outside just to feel that change for something better. And remember - you DESERVE it. Now, GO AND GET IT!

Hello Everyone, Best wishes for this year to come to everyone To start something this year as past years haven't been as full of musics as I wished, and following my nearly traumatic fanatism of Sonic the hedgehod themes, I've started what is for now Working-titled "Docto Ivo's Masterpiece" (Ivo being the quite forgotten firstname of our beloved "Eggman"). This is still very early WIP and requires a lot of polishing, even more regarding the recording (which will, to be honest, need to be finally handled by someone who can play better than me cause it's always easier to write than to record sur voluntarily "extravagant" piece of work). This is what I came as a first part and early wip. To be clear again, this is *meant* to be very extravagant, just as the title says it all, but not to be anyhow "pretentious". Think about it as being played by a frustrated aging Eggman. _______________________________________________________________________________ Regarding the principle of writing, i've just took a lot of my prefered and classic themes of Robotnik, trying to unify theme and rewrite them for piano solo with this kind of exercice in mind : - here is an extracted example for Final Zone (Sonic 1) so everyone get the idea straight immediately : Rewriting Oldies for Piano Solo - Final Zone (Sonic1) (rewriting starts at 00:15) _______________________________________________________________________________ About the source materials, it's unified and messed up from all the classic expected sources like, but not exhaustively - Sonic 3 & Knucles "Robotnik's theme" - Sonic 2 "Dr Robotniks theme" - Sonic The hedgehog "Robotnik's theme" - 2-Player Vs. - Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine [OST] - Sonic 1 Music: Final Zone - Sonic 3 Music: Final Boss - and so on... Any feedback will be deeply apreciated. So tell me everything I don't wanna hear !! (and everything i'd be pleased to if anyhow you're please too <3) _______________________________________________________________________________ Here is a private SoundCloud link to the WiP: Doctor Ivo's Masterpiece - Part 1 - Early wip (Robotnik's themes for piano solo) _______________________________________________________________________________ Edit log : - added some rudimentary marking as soundcloud commentary, may it ease commenting parts - inverted tags so they correctly appear in thread list _______________________________________________________________________________

So, Sonic has a pretty good track record with music. *accepts Understatement Of The Millenium award* But what type of music fits each style of Sonic? Classic Sonic seems to be 90's dance music and EDM, whereas Adventure is more delving into punk rock and ska-punk, like Goldfinger. Then Modern Sonic gives off more of a Green Day/blink-182 vibe. Penny for your thoughts!

Hello OCRemix! Here's one I feel is quite serious. *yes serious* *I will not be held liable for any reason of any sort.* I always have a lot on my mind, this is me expressing it. I've been hearing this remix over and over and was also trying to think of a way to reach out to others. As anyone, we all have issues, but a personal issue I have faced is suicide attempt. I won't get too much into detail, but I am still alive! Also, for anyone feeling this way too, I would truly feel happy if I could speak to you through this song and perhaps show you there is more to what we see, think, and experience. As mentioned before, I would love to touch others through music, but I feel I don't have a soft spoken mouth, I served in the USMC so I have a tad bit of "Sailor's Mouth" and I apologize, so in result I will do my best to censor and foul language if I need to do more, please let me know. Also, if anyone would like to talk to me about my songs I have no problem working with the community to stay within guidelines, as I want to be a solid part of the community you all hold! As a note, in a previous post I mentioned i'm quite novice with editing, this song has no editing done to it, as it is in progress. https://www.dropbox.com/s/l3ipnszh7bb7hkz/it won't stop Censored version.wav?dl=0 The Original is here: https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01196 By Rellik Arranging the music of one song... Hello OCRemix! I have been a fan of this site for years! I've written to plenty and now I would like some constructive criticism, I personally don't know how to compose or write music at all, but I have been writing for over 20 years and everytime I hear these remixes it makes me want to write more! I'm unsure of licensing and issues with this and that and its quite a concern of mine, is there anyone I can talk to sometime about issues like this? This song's purpose is to bring my feeling to music when I experience driving in my car, the second I heard this remix I fell in love with it! As of right now I have three kids and life is a bit hectic, but I do manage to find a little bit of time to try to put something together now and then. Besides that, this is my first post! I hope somebody out there can feel what I feel when I hear this song, I hear it over and over so I just had to get it out of my system and onto this track! Please let me know what you think, this is Test Run #4 as of right now, until I get some more time and accommodations for recording vocals. I am also quite novice at working programs to provide quality editing, I'm attempting to learn each day as much as I can. I also apologize in advance if I take a while to get back to you. I also have lots of patience and am willing to listen and communicate effectively. I look forward to speaking to many of you, getting to know the community, and making more music! My dream is to touch people though music! I created a link in Dropbox, copied it, and ensured it said "Anyone with this link can view the file." "I Need to Burn Some Gas" Here is where I found the delightful original, Thank you Jewbei & Masato Nakamura! "Final Zone" Primary Game: Sonic the Hedgehog (Sega, 1991, GEN), music by Masato Nakamura https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02240 Much Appreciated, MadDog

Sega's revealed their 25th anniversary Sonic the Hedgehog game, coming this Spring 2017: Sonic Mania, a brand new Genesis/Mega Drive style Sonic game from Christian Whitehead, the fellow who rebuilt Sonic 1, 2, and CD for mobile. This looks amazing and I can't wait until I can play it.

So... I guess it's official. Archie Sonic is dead. I read it a lot in primary school, and I loved it. At the time, I was a bit biased towards Sonally... which is unfortunate, as I started reading after the reboot, but looking back, the stories told were great, and always managed to pull off "dark and edgy Sonic" in a way Sega's own writers never could. I hope the new publisher is great, but Archie Sonic will always have a place in my heart. What are your stories? "And though you're dead and gone, believe me, your memory will carry on." - Welcome to the Black Parade, My Chemical Romance

(Please be Aware I'm French, so my english is known to be sometime quite ... Frenchy. Sorry for that.) Edit : • 07/08 @22:57 GMT+2 : Fixed Version as Ready for review ! More info on Materials, and writing. Also Final Name ! • 07/04 @1:35 GMT+2 : Wip Update With bridge to part2 • 07/04 @08:23 GMT+2 : Wip update With Completed part2 with more source material (Sonic's Genesis robotknik(s), Final-Fantasy VI hear-alike, "Batman" hear-alike, and some other micro-cameos) Hello World ! I'm coming back from the dead since my OCR01946 of ... 2009 (with another account since I've lost the other one's email Long time ago). Anyway here it is, an "Orchstral" Rework / Whole new sight on the Infamous "2Players VS" of Dr Robotnik's Mean beans Machine. I think I've already heard the original tune going endlessly in mind-breaking loops for Something like 18h straight when I was younger. Two decades after that, I'm up with a W.I.P. of an expiation of sort. It's meant to be a First track of an upcoming series called "Eggman Plays The Orchestra" so it's voluntarily meant to be "huge" as a "catchy" announcement to what's coming next. As usual with me it's written with a lot of ostinato's and Staccato's, with distinguishable part. The main part's are written in 4/4 for the first one (Dr Robotnik Mean bean machine), and alternating 9/8 and 12/8 for the Second part (Mainly Eggman theme from Sonic & Knuckle as a base). The song name "La méchante Machine à Haricot" is a straight French translation of the "The Mean Bean Machine" locution, which fits quite well for Eggman's behavior and being, I thought. I Hope it sounds at least pleasant for your ear or your mind (if you have the same Sega's puyo-puyo trauma as I have). Hoping for feedback, hopefully the unpleasant one's are the most important to go through so... Don't hesitate to be rough ! Best Regards, C. The Song : • mp3 : http://www.brigato.fr/files/CBLMMAH.mp3 • Soundcloud : The Original Materials : More materials from : Various Sonic/S&K cameos, Final Fantasy 6&7 hear-alike (Intro from FFVI, Jenova from FFVII, Kefka From FFV6I, Decisive Battle from FFVI...)

Sonic Underground is... not a good show. At all. It's a cringe-fest that tried to turn a hedgehog full of Blink-182-esque energy into Meat Loaf. But when you think about it, a good Sonic musical should be a pushover! I mean, the music is Final Fantasy levels of consistent quality! So, what's the answer? Covers of songs from the games?

Hi! I have made a new remix of Chemical Plant Zone from Sonic 2 on one of my new Synthesisers. Pretty much it's my first time using a real live Synth and I've been remixing tracks and recording my own original material as well as I pretty much usually stick to Keyboards. This current remix I made is from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 of Chemical Plant Zone. I decided i'd like to share it with the site. I recorded all of this in just one take, so I understand there needs to be room for improvement although I like the overall track. I will need to record the drums again, and I may have to re-record a few things as well as add in extra detail. I'd also really like to hear what you all think of the current version and If I need any improvements or whatever please feel free to give me feedback, I can take it. I am looking forward to hearing your suggestions about further improving this track and please enjoy it if possible. Also if there are any more instruments you want in this I will be happy to include. Thanks ! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9gqeKAiRDxoRnljZWdNS0NhQTg/view *UPDATE* I have an updated re recorded version here with a whole bunch of added material, it sounds more exciting than the original version I remixed, enhanced melody,, added extra harmony, even re-recorded the drums and added an orchestral section! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9gqeKAiRDxoVC1XTXZGalRYLXM/view?usp=sharing
