Argitoth Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Who makes all the awesome music for those CD-key generators? :-D edit: oops, maybe shoulda posted this in unmod Quote
Moseph Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 "Piration" is such an unusual word that this thread is the ninth result in a Google search for it. Quote
Fritz the Cat Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 "Piration" is such an unusual word that this thread is the ninth result in a Google search for it. Piration is a perfectly cromulent word. Quote
The Legendary Zoltan Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 You don't mean piracy? What the heck is piration? Sorry. I don't who makes those things. I didn't know there was music related to that kind of thing, actually. Quote
The Pezman Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Who makes all the awesome music for those CD-key generators? It's a personal ambition of mine to one day perform the song featured on the TASCAM AiR generator. Quote
OverCoat Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Who makes all the awesome music for those CD-key generators? Maktone, dubmood, ogge, zabutom, dozens of others I forget about right now Quote
1337 1 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Maktone, dubmood, ogge, zabutom, dozens of others I forget about right now In other words, the same people who make any other kind of music. Did you think that just because they'd make a keygen (i.e. illegal), they'd go to all the trouble of making/paying for decent music? Quote
Fratto Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 The word "piration" embiggens this thread. Quote
OverCoat Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 In other words, the same people who make any other kind of music. What? This one went over my head. Are you calling zabutom "not decent" music? Because he or any of the others I mentioned make amazing chips. Have you not heard it before? http://youtube.com/watch?v=BL7mMNFtXHo http://youtube.com/watch?v=OT14yV-9CCo http://youtube.com/watch?v=X5Out26VnnA etc Quote
HershDawg Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 CD keys....Torrenting for all your pirating needs. lol Quote
OverCoat Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 oops! forgot about this one is cool can't recall who did it though. Usually the artist releases the song on their page anyway, independent of the actual keygen Quote
FR Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Hey how 'bout somebody explain what keygen music is for the people that don't know what it is...and by people I mean me. Quote
Liontamer Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Definitely stopping by to LOL at piration. LOAL. Quote
OverCoat Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Hey how 'bout somebody explain what keygen music is for the people that don't know what it is...and by people I mean me. Keygens are little programs that contain serial numbers for commercial software. Most of the [good] crack teams will put cool chiptune music in them, which may or may not be better than the software you're cracking. Quote
FR Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Thanks OverCoat, But why would people do this for...Fun? Quote
OverCoat Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Thanks OverCoat, But why would people do this for...Fun? Of course. It's very fun. You also get to FIGHT THE POWAH and all that. Quote
Brycepops Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Of course OverCoat would be all over this thread :3. I'm still waiting for you to overthrow coda, you know ._. Quote
OverCoat Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I'm still waiting for you to overthrow coda, you know ._. I "overthrew" him at MAGFest. Quote
1337 1 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 What? This one went over my head. Are you calling zabutom "not decent" music? Because he or any of the others I mentioned make amazing chips. Have you not heard it before? Hell no, I'm not saying that. I'm saying the people who make many of the key gens get other peoples music (well, the illegal ones usually, but the legal ones...), instead of making their own. After all, who would honestly steal bad music I will agree, there are some awesome songs out there on these things. Quote
jmr Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 "Piration" is such an unusual word that this thread is the ninth result in a Google search for it. It's now the fourth. And I'm pretty sure it's the only one on the first few pages to use it in this context. Quote
