zircon Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 This has been going around Facebook, and I think it's pretty funny; 1 - BAND NAME Go to "wikipedia." Hit “random article” or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:RandomThe first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band. 2 - ALBUM TITLE Go to "Random quotations" or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album. 3 - COVER ART Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days” or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover. 4 - Use photoshop or similar to put it all together. 5 - Post it to FB with this text in the "body" and TAG the friends you want to join in. (be sure to tag me, so I can see your creation) Here's what I got; 1960 NBA All-Star Game - "Some Talent or Other" The new club hit. Quote
OverCoat Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 This is so goddamn old Zirc plus you're supposed to be hosting midi monday right now Quote
Skrypnyk Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 [22:04:55] <overcoat> this is what zircon would rather do [22:05:00] <overcoat> instead of hosting a compo I do believe someone in offtopic posted this a while back though. aww minute late =( Quote
zircon Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 Yes because obviously everyone on the internet has seen this. Even if you have seen it, it's still amusing to see what you come up with. Quote
relyanCe Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Haha did one of these last week. Check it out! I got stiffed with a tiny image though... Quote
Murmeli Walan Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 This is actually new to me, so here goes. Get ready for the hot new album "Good Qualities Without Your Help" from my new band, Princess Niloufer! The album drops...um...well, you know my luck with releasing albums... Quote
Darklink42 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Worked out pretty well for me I think. It's actually my album from 1998, following in the vein of Sugar Ray and Smash Mouth. Quote
Gollgagh Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 okay, so apparently, Supastition is an underground rap artist from my town Quote
suzumebachi Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 also, isn't this thread already in offtopic? Quote
Alexis Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Only because I'm somewhat bored... My first radom wikipedia was an actual band, Ming and Ping, so I clicked random one more time to get something that actually wasn't a real band name. So here is my result...a German Emo...Techno band? Maybe? I guess you can blame the crappy music on this album on the computer. Quote
Kizyr Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Huh. It worked out pretty well. Though the name sounds like a generic Eurobeat group. KF Quote
Strike911 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I DON'T KNOW WTF THIS BAND WOULD BE. HELL. Quote
