Meteo Xavier Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I just remembered something from my childhood here: "Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtles MY ASS...!" - Our Grandma. We never did figure out exactly what part of that title she had a problem with, but its a funny story we always tell. Quote
JoeFu Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 never played or even heard of this game so bleck's post WHAT? You can't call yourself a gamer without having played turtles in time... WTF Quote
JoeFu Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Actually you can't be anything if you haven't played turtles in time. People who aren't gamers have played it. You're just nothing sorry Quote
Sinewav Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I'm apprehensive about this. It would be cool if they get it right, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time HD Remix. Now THAT would be awesome (if only for the epically long title). Quote

And those of you who haven't seen the old woman airbag video, youtube it. Quote
Antonio Pizza Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 WHAT? You can't call yourself a gamer without having played turtles in time... WTF You can't call yourself a gamer unless you've beaten Super Mario Bros. That is the MINIMUM requirement. Nothing in video games you've ever done counts unless you've met this prerequisite. Yes, that include your remixes. I may have to fire up my SNES. Donatello = teh win. P.S. >> TMNT 2 Shredder = Dr. Pierre Chang Quote
Meteo Xavier Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Ah, gotta love grammas. And those of you who haven't seen the old woman airbag video, youtube it. I don't want to derail the topic, but man I wish this were about crazy grammas because there is a lot more to tell. Quote

TheSnowStorm Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Do you think they'd still include the hilarious racial stereotype bosses? Because of that I'm gonna play that game. Anyways, I really need a XBOX360. MVC2 remake and now TMNT 4? Oh hell yeah! Quote

ifirit Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Looking at the screenshots from the first page, this looks like it's going to be a 2.5D remake and not a full 3D remake. I think that is way better considering the original format. Also, I seem to remember that the arcade version had mini-bosses that weren't included in the home (SNES) version. (I think there was a giant mud monster in the 65,000,000 B.C. stage among others.) Quote
Lotd2242 Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 The thing I remember most from that game was "My patience is wearing thin. I'm banishing you into a time warp from which you will never return." Quote
Dr.Flintlock Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Thought I'd give this a slight bump since they've finally released a few short vids of this beast. It looks pretty nice I think, and definitely captures the frenetic feel of all the action going on onscreen. Still, I'm a bit of a purist so I was a bit caught off guard with the 3D look of it. But the 2D gameplay seems to have stayed, so that's good. Regardless, its looking pretty slick right now. Definitely will check it out when it releases. Quote
Wintermute Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Wait a second... you were a bit caught off guard with the 3d look of a 3d remake. ..... Quote
Dr.Flintlock Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Wait a second...you were a bit caught off guard with the 3d look of a 3d remake. ..... Yeah, sorry about that. I did my homework and realized it was a planned 3D remake from the get-go. My mistake. Still, I'm warming up to it =) Quote
Wintermute Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Ahh I get it. I think it has a pleasant look to it. Looking forward to it very much. Quote
MajLink Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Best part is when you hit a mine while surfing. "My toe!, My toe!" It better be done right in the remake. Quote
