LuketheXjesse Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 You know, the guy who played Saruman in Lord of the Rings? Apparently he's doing a Symphonic Metal album. Quote
Avatar of Justice Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 This is the same man who was a secret agent in World War 2. During filming of LotR, when Saruman was stabbed in the back by Grima Wormtounge, Peter Jackson was displeased with the gurgling noise Lee made and told him to change it to something else. Lee informed him that the sound Jackson was making was not the sound a man stabbed in the back made. I am pre-ordering this shit. Quote

Hooray for two discs of bonus features! The concept of this album is really kinda cool too. It's the story of Charlemange, and it turns out Christopher Lee is actually related to him. That's so badass. Quote
Bahamut Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I'm gonna guess that recording for Rhapsody of Fire is what got him to do this - cool man! Quote
Geoffrey Taucer Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Words cannot describe the awesome Quote
LuketheXjesse Posted January 7, 2010 Author Posted January 7, 2010 probably inspired him, like Bahamut said. Quote
EC2151 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I already knew Christopher Lee was awesome, but this makes him even cooler. Quote
The Damned Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Lee#Involvement_in_World_War_II Jesus fucking christ, I now fear that man. I will send him the heads of his enemies to appease him, just as a precaution. Quote
Chernabogue Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Already saw that on the Helloween messageboard. Christopher Lee is a great actor. I'll take a listen to it when it'll come out. Quote
KyleJCrb Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Wasn't he also Count Dookie? He's a badass. Looking forward to this. Quote
Kanthos Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Count Dookie? Is that some distant relative to Tre Cool? Quote
Battousai Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Didn't he already sing for an italian orchestral metal band called Rhapsody or something? This shouldn't surprise anybody! Quote

XZero Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I'm kind of speechless .... Christopher Lee is incredible. Quote
Ferret Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Didn't he already sing for an italian orchestral metal band called Rhapsody or something? This shouldn't surprise anybody! They're Rhapsody of Fire now, and he didn't really sing so much as recite the history of the story being told in the album. Quote
The Biznut Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I really don't even think I care. Just kidding, this is the coolest thing I have read in a while! I think that the story of Charlemagne is worthy of this type of retelling, I'll be happy to give it a listen! Quote
Jenner Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Christopher Lee was the man that made Ian McKellan gay. Quote
Bahamut Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 They're Rhapsody of Fire now, and he didn't really sing so much as recite the history of the story being told in the album. I think he actually did sing in one song on the Symphony of Enchanted Lands II album, The Magic of the Wizard's Dream Quote
