Brushfire
A new mashup album by Team Teamwork, the guys who brought you The Ocarina of Rhyme. It's awesome! Brandon Strader
For those a little skeptical about this, how exactly is it "mashed up"? I usually think of Mash-ups as rap songs with Thomas the tank engine.
Gollgagh
replace thomas the tank engine with FFVII and that's exactly what it is gg

ZealPath
Loved the Ocarina of Rhyme, checking this out now! Edit: Pretty good overall, although the first track was terrible imo, that's the only one I can say I didn't like. A lot of the other ones manage to integrate the FFVII tunes with the beats and flows quite well. The manipulation of the FFVII tunes is done better than I've come to expect from a lot of mashup albums. I still don't know if you can really rap over One-Winged Angel, but the result was a lot better than I was expecting, though not one of my favorites. The Sailing from Junon, Costa Del Sol, and Mideel tracks had the best "feel" imo.
Navi
Ante Up, Air, Royal Flush and Save Me, Dear are tight. The rest of the album is pretty cool (except for Spacious Thoughts :/). I gotta check out this Ocarina of Rhyme now...
Mustin
I don't get it. Is this cool? Can't you just 1.) download ACID 2.) download accapellas 3.) put them together in ACID 4.) put drum beat under ?

Can't you just 1.) download ACID 2.) download accapellas 3.) put them together in ACID 4.) put drum beat under ? Yeah this and the zelda one I just looked at were ok...The songs definitely don't flow as well or sound as professionally done as Norwegian Recycling mashups. I think why is the choice of hip-hop songs. Overall they seem annoying to me. This is coming from someone who has almost 900 hip-hop songs in his ipod. Mostly old school. As far as mashups go, there's nothing too imaginative done with these ones, save for the (personal) glee I got upon hearing Ante Up on top of the battle theme. I've been listening to the Beatles vs Wu Tang mash up CD (I know, beatles mashups are played out) and if you want a better example of a GOOD mashup CD, I would recommend that one. http://www.teasearecords.net/wuvsbeatles.cfm

suzumebachi
I think he was trying to link to the Chrono Trigger Mixtape. Which isn't bad, but for sanity's sake get the no-DJ version holy god that guy is annoying.

I'm loving some of this stuff.http://teamteamwork.bandcamp.com/album/vinyl-fantasy-7 Enjoy This from the guy who hates FFVII. I listened to it this morning, kind of a bad idea on my part, so I didn't get to really appreciate it as I could have. I'll get back to you because really, the jury is still in deliberation on this one.

Brushfire
I don't hate the music from FF7. Just the characters, the story, the gameplay, the characters, and the characters. Except for Cid. He rules for life.

The Damned
http://www.originalsoundversion.com/?p=7382 Vinyl Fantasy 7 seems to have been C&D'd by... no one? It's unlikely that it's Square-Enix, because they haven't axed other music projects, including OCR ones. If it was them, then why not make it known? They already have a reputation for shutting down stuff, so it wouldn't exactly harm their appearance any. Sounds like some bullshit is going on. By who, and for why... that's the question. Asaudan
I know this is going to be a controversial post, but I never did approve of selling an album that's pretty much created by cutting and pasting together shit other people made, even if it's in a kind of creative way. Parade rain over.
