lefty
hmm i don't really remember the original song that well, but that's not to say i don't like this remix... like they said its not real humanized, but its still good music, very soothing... got no complaints here, except SUCK MY TRIFORCE!! Scrabble_Ship
Great peice. Although, it is like the Hillbilly Rodeo, good for an occasional listen but not for everyday.
Protricity
Biggest turn off here is that I'd have to deal with the annoying lyrics each time this played. Beyond that, rather simplistic reason default instrument sequencing. All the same instruments noppz used a hundred times, but well. Cool idea, but not too well done. Crystal piano at 2:35 is simply not very good. Random and awkward. Like to have seen more interesting things happen in the mid section. ShrikeArghast
I don't know about these other yutzes (esp. Protricity, who frankly sounds like he's crying because he aint this creative), but I loved it. It effectively captured the mood of the originally piece, while still being good and 'hammy' with the intro. I also think the sound quality was spot on. Overall, B+ performance. This makes my playlist, so keep 'em coming.
Baldrash
Kakariko Village is one of my favorite game tunes. And the intro, like the one in Mega Man 3's Needles, is good enough that it doesn't get on my nerves, no matter how many times I hear it. Definitely good enough to earn a place in the rotation. k u n g f u c h i c k e n
Hehe, very creative, but for the most part, it didn't really capture me enough to playlist it.
fetusboy
It's all right, but not for the faint of heart. BTW, one thing, bud. You should have sent this remix and requested to have it posted before grad last year.
Flik
Thanks for the comments for guys. And Prot, I had originally planned to have much more in the mix. I didn't want to purely use Reason instruments, but due to my buddy who was going to do the real guitar tracks backing out I was pretty much stuck with what I had. I had originally planned for the track to sorta rock out a bit at the end with some electric guitar and some real percussion (never got my drums back so that's my fault), but hey...can't always get what I want. I hope whoever likes the mix likes it for what it is.
Lacour
i'll consider this next time i go to a prom
Holy Warrior Azar
This was very much like my prom back in april. Not so much the music as the begining reminding me of when the Dj played three country songs in a row and everybody started booing(note: majority of the kids in my high school were black). Plus the extreme usage of the word suck also really gave it that "High School" feeling, because high school students cant go two seconds without using it (believe me I know, I was just there not even 5 months ago) This was a cool remix though. Loved the strings and guitar together, and the overall feeling was just perfect. It's a very cool jam. It's nice to know OCR thought higher of it than vgmix did. Cubie_J
As a semi-reclusive kid myself, I've never been to any school dances, but this song kinda makes me want to. ^__^ Very nicely done! o.O Suck my Triforce?!
Geoffrey Taucer
Haha! This remix kicks ass! It sounds great, and it's FUCKING HILARIOUS! Definitely adding this one to my list of favorites.
Zaphlin
I don't go to dances either... they are boring to me... and expensive... and I don't like dressing up. You're principal sounds kinda like Barney Fife. Don Knotts? I think that's his name... I can't remember. Pretty good song overall
pixlz
this is really cool. simplistic, and nice. thumbs up from me. intro and endings are inventive.
Gman
Anyone notice the clash of notes at 1:54, it could break a window. Breaks my ears everytime.Now...3:44 should have been the counter melodi you were looking for.. but hey could it be just me? Other than that its alright. joshnickerson
Heh, anyone else notice the little nod toward's Green Day's "Time of your Life" at the beginning?
yoshi1001
Nice to see some originality here. Should be interesting to hear reaction on this one on the station.
Kye-U
I removed the beginning with Nero WaveEditor I don't like listening to plain words when listening to a remix.
DJ Riott
I've always liked this theme, and wish it would be remixed a couple more times. Not too many times though.. The vocals in the beginning and end I think are creative and add to the piece. 'You Suck' 'Link Sucks' haha, that made me laugh. JUst like high school. On the second listen, this is way better and I really feel the overall tone better. It made my playlist. The 'Not very Humanized' comment I feel was true. But that can work for the better. A cheezy prom song B+ from me also.
100_PERCENT ROEMER
Not the best, not the worst, really funny at the beginning and ending.
Shadow Wolf
PURE. GOLD. Not since the famed Music of My Groin have I heard such goodness. What is it about Zelda that attracts such humorous interpretation from it's fans? This is awesome stuff. I laughed my butt off. I loved the tip to Green Day at the beginning, too. This sounds so much like a high school prom, it's not even funny. The actual remix is awesome too. Overall, this is a +5/+5 Remix of Awesome. w00t! Blackwinged Saron
Darth Vader says: Impressive, most impressive. I really enjoyed this arrangement. It kinda has the same sound as the Kakariko Crystals mix but has more of an airy outdoorsy feel to it. A much needed and wanted change to the more uptempo remixes that have been coming in as of late. Benjamin Briggs
Heh, anyone else notice the little nod toward's Green Day's "Time of your Life" at the beginning? Yeah, it made me chuckle. "Link sucks!" was way funnier though. -chth
bouncerboy15
Nice mix. It's very calm and relaxing. Makes me want to play OoT...
