Server crashed at some point yesterday. I lost a full day of work. Maybe it was just me though.

It wasn't. I lost quite a bit as well.

Also, grass grows so agonizingly slow when you need it to grow to a certain point, but it grows so fast if you don't. Typical.

I am pretty far away from the spawn point. It'll be about 5 minutes unless you have a boat to travel through the ocean faster. In fact, I ventured another 5 minutes south and hit a goldmine for clay.

the more you can feed me, the more i can do. i'd like the entire tower in obsidian, but that'd be about a thousand blocks. so i'll settle with just one or two columns to start =)

once they get lava and fluid generation fixed (ie, buckets make source blocks and not just random blobs), i'll be topping off the tower with lava, encased in glass. it'll shine better than a fire, and look cooler.

i made a lava tower on my single player game. a good point of view from afar if you're lost.

also to bad lava doesn't generate source block like water.

I still wouldn't be able to see that lava shine from where I'm at. In terms of mining, I am making it my goal to later supply the server/community with clay and wheat (to make bread).

I think we should set up a gold exchange rate, and currency in the form of gold bricks... it seems to be a logical solution to the need for certain items and their lack of abundance. I'm sure that it would end up fair if the consensus agrees on certain prices and/or decides to impliment it... I'm talking about creating one of the first minecraft economies! (at least I think it is)
