SirRus Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 lol why do you talk about yourself in the 3rd person. Anyway, I love Joe's music, especially The Ken Song. Great work Joe. Quote
Brim Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 Still love this song, and your other songs are awesome too. Quote
JRC Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 woohoo... nice one!! my favourite character thx alot dude! Quote
IC Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 I listen to most the new songs on OCR like the night they're posted. UNFORTUNATELY, this one slipped by, and I only listened to this because of its mention in the mp3.com interview with DJP. Anyways...OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. Simply amazing. The beginning sounded a little generic to me at first; I almost skipped over the song thinking, "yawn, another stereotyped rock remix". Then the vocals came in and I realized this one was different. The progression, vocals, production, everything is proffessional (or close enough!). I love the alt rock sound of bands like Foo Fighters, Gin Blossoms, etc., and this song is very reminiscent of that style. I give it a 10/10. Here's to hoping for more remixes from JD. Quote

The Rude Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 10/10 You can tell from first listen that this song was very organized and very well set up. The vocals were also very cool, very original. Nice job, jdproject, I'm looking forward to more excellence from you! Quote
Wildeagle Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 wow...awesome...super NES never sounded so awesome...so awesome... P.S.- i'm new and kinda slow on this whole downlaoding thing does this dowload onto my comp or not thanks. Quote
NewTypeOne Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Holy crap... just wow... I mean... I'm speachless, I am without speach. Great job man, lets hear some other good ones just like this. Quote
jrg Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 god man they ruined a perfectly good song with lyrics. wtf you f'n loosers dumbasses! Quote
EvilRyu38 Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I hate to go down to this level but... STFU n00b. Quote
BlueMage Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Let's not forget to add the fact that said n00b was trying to type 'losers' (note that there is only ONE o - just one!) but instead typed something that implies we're all loose... See, this is why no-one likes n00bs. Quote
'ReaktorZ0 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 ** Added to my "can't wait till I get a mp3 player so I can put these songs on it" list ** This is one of the most awesome remixes ever. Really nice work. Quote
SgtFlaman Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Here is a short exceprt of a conversation between myself and a friend of mine: "So what did you think?" "That song was pretty bad-ass. Where did you find it?" "Would you believe a video game music remixing website?" "What?! That's music from a video game?!?" "Yup." "NO WAY!!! THAT'S AWESOME!!!" Okay granted, video games have rarely if ever been acknowledged for their music. More and more games are licensing actual music for their games (EA Sports, Gran Turismo series, SSX series to name a few) but that doesn't count. Games with ORIGINAL soundtracks are more often than not passed up in favor for a cd in the stereo and that's a damn shame. Especially with this song. Ken is in a tie for my favorite SF character (with Guile), and the first time I heard this, I think I creamed my pants. Can I give it an 11/10? Quote
jdproject Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 THE KEN SONG V2 is available on my website for download now www.joedarwish.net have a listen and sign the guestbook also listen to other tracks on my ep. Cheers Joe. Quote
Bladewind Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 3 letters. just 3. O M G! I can't DL your second version (I can't even listen to it!) It is very sad about how most people tend to ignore game music. This song fits Ken perfectly. If anyone knows his moves, pm them to me so I can beat his story. THX PS: THIS SONG=0\/\/N/-\G3! Quote
Gdl_robotrek Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 This is one of my fav remixes from this site(have not heard too many though) Keep em coming Quote
Mr Azar Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Got this one a little over 20 minutes ago, great work...i'd like to see similar from this author Quote
mecca Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 Air guitar? More like heavy dragon punch - excellent work - totally agree with DJP's use of the words "radioplay" and "foo fighters". Realise your Ken! Quote
Art_lover Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 See, this is why no-one likes n00bs. Hey...I'm a n00b. Oh well Honestly, I wasn't too fond of Ken's theme music in Street fighter. However, this remix to his theme is awesome!! I'm listening to it right now. Time to "realise my Ken". Quote
Danneland Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 A great mixx of EMO and Game Music, though I'd like to hear a little more aggresive drums. But other than that, its a kickass song. If it was completly original I'd guess we'd all hear it on the radio. Quote
mecca Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 The singer reminds me of The Vilot Burning, the group who did the Scrubs theme.. Quote

Just a little bit of poor grammar entering the lyrics. Quote
mecca Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 I disagree - the writer may have meerly used Ken as a personification of inner power..cheesy as it may be. Only way to clarify is for the mixer to elaborate.. Quote
