The Coop
Anyone able to see the finale on nick.com? Because all I'm getting is a black rectangle on my browsers.
Subz1987
Managed to watch both finale episodes on Nick.com with some minor issues and
Mirby
Yeah, that's pretty much my reaction too, Subz.
Mirby
Book 3 premieres NEXT FRIDAY, JUNE 27 at 7PM. The first 3 episodes will air, then a week off because Independence Day, and then it will return on July 11. There's an extended sneak peek of the first episode on Nick's site, if you wanna watch that.
The Damned
Ah, what wonderful timing, then. This just arrived today. The second book should be out later this summer and the third book early next year.
Geoffrey Taucer
Just watched the Season 2 finale. On the whole, I'm far less impressed with this series than I was with TLA. The writing isn't as good, the characters aren't as compelling, and there are too many scenes that just feel forced and cheesy. But the visuals and the fight scenes are stunning, as is the music. And for both books, the finale found a way to make my jaw drop at the end.
Gario
The third season is starting on a very good (and interesting) note. I may be speaking too soon, but suspect this may be a very good season, based on the setup and the approach they're taking with it. Looking forward to more! Mirby
Yeah I think they're finally hitting their stride again because these were magnificent. And I loved Book 2 (and I guess Book 1 as well). Book 3 is shaping up to be even better.
KyleJCrb
Great start to the season, my only problem is that the pacing of the episodes is a little too quick, but that's unfortunately a limitation of the 22-minute cartoon format. As a side note: I'm a little surprised that Nickelodeon let them sneak in something to satiate the Korra/Asami shippers a little.
Mirby
Us Korrasami shippers will take what we can get
Final Kingdom
When I first saw the Book 3 trailer, I was excited for what the season had to offer. I loved everything about the latter half of Book 2, so I kind of have big hopes for this season. I can't wait to see all four of the antagonists together and what their end goal is. And if no one is excited for Boomie, then you're crazy.
Mirby
Yeah, Bumi as an airbender works so well too.
Subz1987
They're doing two episodes a week starting next Friday, so gonna end in early August
KyleJCrb
http://www.hypable.com/2014/07/24/the-legend-of-korra-season-3-final-episodes-online/ Korra episodes are moving exclusively to digital distribution via Nick.com for the remainder of the season, with the fourth season still reportedly incoming. Seems Nick is adamant on getting rid of this show as fast as they can. Lame.
Mirby
They have a hot property in their hands and don't know what to do with it... so they're throwing it away without throwing it away. What on earth are they thinking? If they want good ratings, why not keep the Friday timeslot like they seemed so adamant on doing and then reair it on Saturday mornings in Book 1's old slot? More chances to see it, and ratings will likely improve. It also doesn't help that there were a lot of people dissatisfied by Book 2 that refused to watch Book 3, so that didn't help matters at all. Geoffrey Taucer
I wonder what the story is? I mean, Nick has clearly been going WAY out of it's way to fuck up the delivery this season. Somebody must have pissed of a nick exec or something.
Mirby
It's even funnier when the Book 3 trailer clearly said that these were episodes you couldn't find online And hey, the rest of the book is full of episodes you can only find online. Mirby
Like I said, a lot of people were dissatisfied with Book 2 and refused to watch Book 3. The timeslot didn't help much, but neither did people not watching (obviously).
AngelCityOutlaw
Like I said, a lot of people were dissatisfied with Book 2 and refused to watch Book 3. The timeslot didn't help much, but neither did people not watching (obviously). I just started watching the series a couple weeks ago and everyone keeps telling me book 2 is like, mind-blowingly awesome. I had to order it on Blu-Ray via Amazon (still waiting for it to arrive) as finding the show in Canada is next to impossible unless you watch it when it airs and I have much catching up to do. Now that it's going digital, even once I'm caught up it'll be a pain in the ass to watch it because the sites that host it will probably be like "You have to American to watch this because arbitrary reasons." Pavos
Get the Hulu extension for Chrome and you can just watch it on nick.com - it changes your IP to one from the US
DarkeSword
I just started watching the series a couple weeks ago and everyone keeps telling me book 2 is like, mind-blowingly awesome. No, it's not mind-blowingly awesome. It's good, but the first half is rough around the edges. It's only in the second half that it starts to get really good. Mirby
That Book 3 finale was just... whew. So good. I have high hopes for Book 4 after how good Book 3 was.
Abadoss
I was not expecting the ending to be so bittersweet. I'm also really curious what they are going to do in Book 4 (please, Nickelodeon, don't be a dick and pull the plug).
