Difficult Action Games

So I've conquered the three main Ninja Gaidens now as well as Metal Gear Rising on the hardest difficulty.

I need some games similar to those to try to beat next. Ninja Gaiden so far has been my favorite. What are some other tough-as-nails action games out there that I should try to defeat?

Preferably games available on PS3.

I'd recommend this little gem called Alien Soldier. I think it was only rereleased on the wii but you should easily be able to find a way to play it if you have a pc.

God Hand for the PS2 is one of the best action games ever made, so it is imperative that you play it, if you want a difficult, rewarding action game. I don't know if a PS2 game on a PS3 induces some sort of input lag, but something like that would be ruinous for playing God Hand.

Also, the Metal Slug games are good for action.

My son and I are about halfway through this game (downloaded on our PS3):

. It's a cute looking little game, but after the first couple of levels it is WICKED HARD. Lots and lots of cartoon blood. Catchy, remixable music. Recommended!

I've played all the Devil May Cry games, but I think the last time I played 3 was...when it was new. I remember it was pretty hard; never beat it. Perhaps I will pick that up.

Hmm, local EBGames has that for 20 bucks. I've heard many tales of that game. I might pick that one up as well.

That was one of my favorite! I still fighting my favorite boss ever sometimes. Stage 20! I was in love with that bitch when i was a kid8-O

This game has only two modes: super easy and SUPER HARD! Actually super easy level not so easy)

Not on PS3, but the Monster Hunter series is worth a look even if you have to branch out.
