Esperado Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I thought the same. if my old nemesis, different key signatures, were to magically not be an asshole, this would be easier. the songs themselves play nicely rhythmically though. Quote

I found the tempo change to be a bit more annoying...having to manually change the master tempo. So...much...eff- ok I'm lazy, but I found a way to more or less get it to work. Quote
Esperado Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 well , i learned that i can use abletons "scale" plugin to sort of auto transpose things when im in a crunch. its hit or miss, but its better than nothing when im stuck of course i learned this after a week of suckage and i only have a few days left... BUT CAIT SITH DOESNT LOSE TO LAGUNA WITHOUT A FIGHT. Quote

You had no idea how tired I was towards the end of my remix...actually maybe you will when you hear it Quote
Eino Keskitalo Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Wrote some chords for Serrah's theme to make it go with Lulu's.. Fun stuff I wouldn't have done without is competition. Still haven't got a note tracked or recorded though! --Eino Quote
timaeus222 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 These two sources are ridiculously hard to make work together harmonically. My god. I'm about 60% done I think. Quote

Still haven't got a note tracked or recorded though!--Eino Y'know Eiono, the thought just occured to me...what's the chances that the match-up randomizer happens to pair 2 female characters together? Or did Brandon just want to set up a good ole cat fight? ...hmm, maybe I'm trying a little too hard here to be funny. Quote
NovaReaper Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 So anyways, my recording software does not like anything higher than E natural, so that's a big problem. I'll have something done, might not be perfect. Quote
timaeus222 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) Making good progress here. Almost done, but I may add about 10~20 more seconds before I call it a good length. A little more organic than my usual stuff. Edited November 24, 2013 by timaeus222 Quote
Eino Keskitalo Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I have the backing down, rather skeletal but it'll do. Probably messed up the harmony and am not noticing it. I sure hope I have the chance to record the vocals before the deadline.. (: --Eino Quote
Chimpazilla Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 A little more organic than my usual stuff. Mine too. This one is 100% orchestral, first time I've done that. Also, this is the last time I do such a mix in FL Studio, it's not made for orchestral at all. I'm getting Cubase before I do another of these! Quote
timaeus222 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) Oooookay, after 2.5 days---Monday Night (3 hours), Tuesday Night (3 hours), Friday Night (4 hours), and all day Saturday (12.5 hours), it's officially 99.99% done. Just some mastering left to do. Gluing, cutting, and trimming. Never a dull moment (get it? Get it?). I literally got the last 75% of the entire arrangement + final mixing done today. What a time crunch... Edited November 24, 2013 by timaeus222 Quote
Esperado Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 My file corrupted and im stuck with only my very first update to the mix. I may be able to make something thats incomplete, but its pretty grimm at this moment. Quote

You ought to do the same from now on Quote
Esperado Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Luckily i had made one. it wasnt as old as i thought, so while my mix might not be very polished i can still come up with something! Quote

Yami Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I'm still sitting here, making backups of my computer, because I need to format it . A friend of mine who owns Logic comes by later, perhaps I can still get something done on his Mac Quote
Brandon Strader Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 We got 4 entries, and 13 hours left. That's it! That's it! That's it! That's it! That's it! I wrote a couple minutes worth at work but still have a lot of work to go, including restringing the acoustic guitar, and writing more stoof, not filler stoof but good stoof. Quote
Chernabogue Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Sent! I can't believe I found time to remix this week. Quote
Eino Keskitalo Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 writing more stoof, not filler stoof but good stoof. For a second I imagined stoof to be an onomatopoetic subgenre of acoustic metal. --Eino Quote
Melbu Frahma Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 more stoof, not filler stoof but good stoof. Swear to God, that was my first thought. Looking forward to this round's entries! Last round's were all so... tasty... crap, now I want stuffing. Quote
Garpocalypse Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 That just made me realize that i've been completely forgetting to make stuffing for thanksgiving for the last 7 years. Quote
