Dafydd
When will the mascot clickability feature likely be implemented? Like, what month? You know, ballpark figures and stuff.
Liontamer
This appears under Final Fantasy VII. Must be because of the title of the track being remixed. That's correct. Check out the judges decision on it.
The Pezman
....? There's nothing to allude to Final Fantasy VII anywhere in the decisions.
Gollgagh
Is it just me, or is the entire emulator section out of whack? I seem to remember there being a lot more information in there. Also, when I try to sort the list of emulators either by name or by best bet, I get a 404 message

The Pezman
Then why isn't "Level 1" or something mentioned on the list of remixed tunes? Maybe you have a policy against using such names (is that why other songs don't have anything listed under that category?), but without it this one in particular is very very misleading. True, but since that's the situation, it can't be helped. When I have some free time, I can watch some Raptor playthroughs on YouTube and try to formulate song titles, but it's a very low priority. Dafydd
The "real name" field seems to be off by one pixel. Happens both in IE7 and FF2. See how the text on the real name row doesn't line up with the rest? This should be at the top of your priority list to fix. Not. I still though I should point it out, because it bothers me. Gollgagh
I noticed a while ago that Doom 'Purgatory' is encoded at 48kHz because my little Sony mp3 player wouldn't accept it so I've been wondering about that for a while, but I just today noticed in the submission rules that Audio must be 44.1kHz Stereo. Will there be a re-encoding of tracks like this to the lower whatever-you-call-it-rate or are we just leaving them as-is?

We noticed this recently as well, since last.fm won't allow these to be uploaded. There's no way to reencode the MP3s without further loss; ideally the original artist would do the encode. I'll compile a list of the 48Khz mixes and hopefully Larry and I can track down as many as possible.

Gollgagh
Also, why do we not have a link to the Thieves of Fate project on the main page? I was not even aware of the project's completion until last week. Polo
Here's some fixes for some of the About Us pages... Links: AlbumsRise of the Star - An upbeat collection of arrangements from the classic SNES platformer, Kirby's Adventure. NES, not SNES. Industry Recognition: Alberto Jose GonzalezWrote to djpretzel to take credit for composing Pop-Up's music for the Game Boy. Broken link to the game; update = http://www.ocremix.org/game/pop-up-gb/ Dave WisePersonally contacted Vigilante The link in the word "contacted" has an unnecessary letter P in its url ("showpthread" instead of "showthread"). And this might break djp's heart, but how about changing Actraiser's source tune from Filmoa to Fillmore?

I'll bug him if he doesn't see this. Stuff 1. Kirby: Thanks 2. Pop-Up: Thanks 3. Dave Wise: Thanks 4. Filmoa: You're incorrect

But this mysterious message does not seem to exist in my inbox, but it still says I have one unread message. What is the deal? One of two things... - Porn spambot that got in and PMed registered posters (I got a notification with the message in it, and the title certainly suggested porn) that was deleted by mods after it was caught. - A real user that basically did the same thing, and had the some thing happen to their message (with a ban to boot?). The first option occurred. There were two spambots working in tandem. I don't think they got past the CAPTCHA registration themselves; it's likely a human registered the accounts then scripted the spamming. vB seems to be a little weak on protecting from PM spam. Cleaning this up was a hassle. 3.7 supposedly helps w/ spam, but we may add a usergroup that users are automatically promoted to after posting once and being regged for at least two days that allows PMing, and remove PMing from users with no posts, if it's ever a problem again. Moguta
True, but since that's the situation, it can't be helped. When I have some free time, I can watch some Raptor playthroughs on YouTube and try to formulate song titles, but it's a very low priority. I always thought it amusing that TO's Raptor mix attributed only the source tune from the game NOT a part of the mix's name. Not to mention, when it was posted, I was rather (pleasantly) surprised to see a Raptor mix. The game does have plenty of remixable material, though. Anyway, what I posted for is that I found the level name for the song in question. It's "Bravo Sector - Wave 2". See this YouTube video at 4:52 for evidence. (Just a warning, it flashes by quickly, you may need to pause to read the mission loading screen it's on.)
Liontamer
Sorry to sound anal, but while that does confirm one area that music is from, I'd need to know if it was repeated elsewhere in the game. Provided the stages are linear, that's why I'd need a speedrun of the game to confirm everything without any doubt. YouTube does have a complete run split into several vids, so if you or anyone else has the free time to verify that, I'd appreciate it. Time is currently not a commodity I have a lot of. Dafydd
Can the PM box be backed up somehow? Mine is full, but I'd hate to delete all my PM's and copying the text in them and backing them up manually would be such a pain. It would be great if there was a way to just dump the whole box into a text file or something.
