djpretzel
I know IE 8 is pretty much the devil, but I thought I'd let you know about a bug. I went to this page, http://www.ocremix.org/game/secret-of-monkey-island-dos/, and noticed that there were some thumbnails of screenshots to click on. I thought that was a cool idea, by the way. So, I clicked on it and got... nothing. The lights dimmed, but nothing came up. Here's a screenshot:http://www.abadoss.net/images/ocr-error_-_6-16-09.png Quoi? Actually, I kinda like IE8. This is a big problem, thanks for bringing it to my attention. The author of the script in question just changed to a commercial license (lame) so I'll probably just look for a replacement of some kind. The Pezman
The new dropdowns are a little... overwhelming. Are you sure we need to see that much at once? The "forums home" is a comparatively small link amidst the sea of everything else you've got in there. If nothing else, do you think you could display the original function for each of links prominently at the top?

Please try using it for a couple days before you draw conclusions; if there are rendering problems I do want to hear about that, but kneejerk reactions are never a good thing. Also, the larger menu items *are* links themselves.

abg
I love the new drop downs! They're really slick I do have some feedback though. It would be nice if the box could load say 20-30 pixels lower. As it is now, when you hover over a link, the drop down loads and the box is just high enough that it covers most of the other menu links to the left and right of it, meaning that you either have to move the mouse up to unload the box, or move it left/right along that 15-ish pixel row of menu that isn't covered by the dropdown. Maybe its a little hard to understand what I'm saying so I took a screenshot: http://img19.yfrog.com/i/menukxo.jpg/ You can see the drop down box is covering most of the links around it. Lowering it just a bit would make a big difference.

prophetik music
if you don't enter a private message recipient, it tells you that your recipient doesn't exist. this is no big deal. however, it's followed by the statement "Click Here to See the Members List" - no punctuation, lots of capitals. i realize this isn't a big deal, but everything else on this site is formatted so pretty it'd be nice, actually, if that link was bolded rather than improperly capitalized. i didn't notice it the first time around. edit: nor for me, abg. abg
That doesn't happen for me. Just saying. Okay, so I just tried it in Firefox and it looks fine! I guess its some sort of browser incompatibility thing.. it was when I was browsing with Internet Explorer 8 that the drop down loaded too high. EDIT: I just realized that the drop down only does this when I'm browsing the forums. Every other page is fine in IE8. Rozovian
Dropdowns are lookin' good. Maybe I should start using them instead of just the sidebar and search box. Maybe. Upper right corner of the dropdowns' shadow looks a little weird, tho.

Confirmed issue with forums in IE8 and seemingly all the time in IE7; the site that I modified the code from works fine in both, so I'm assuming there's a workaround that I just need to figure out. Jago
One can always hope... A minor issue, that I've mentioned before. Even though I set my account to be logged-in all the time, and always enable auto-login, I still have to log in regardless. In fact, I can come to OCR, go to UnMod or WIPs (which you need to be logged in for, and then suddenly have no access because I need to log in again. It will only be a few seconds between entering the specific board, and then BAM! I'm logged out for some reason. I've checked cookies and security settings on my end, and nothing has changed at all. And this site is the only one I see this happening on. Has there been a fix to this? It happens to me all the time, especially if I read a long topic without clicking a link, then when I want to respond, I have to login again. prophetik music
i noticed that the firefox 3.5 beta and RC did this occasionally with certain sites to me, but now that 3.5's out i don't have that issue any more. are you two using that browser? Pyro Paper Planes
I'm not sure this is the right place to post this... Is there a way to change the order of the posts, so newest posts are last, instead of first? I could only find the option for topics. Thanks for the help, sorry if this is the wrong place to post it. I have a feeling this option is somewhere very obvious...

djpretzel
Amy noticed that the 15 latest comments on a ReMix page also shows deleted comments. Check out http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00316/ vs. http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=148&page=5 for an example. Fixed, sorry for the delay. Noticed that too. Another occurrence (eighth one down, as of now): http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01711/ and http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=16169&page=2. It was deleted for a good reason, but the ones Palpable pointed out are worse. Also, this page just delivers coding errors: http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01180/. (such as: Warning: DOMDocument::loadXML() [domdocument.loadxml]: Opening and ending tag mismatch: x line 11 and blockquote in Entity, line: 18 in /home/ocremix/public_html/includes/php/classes/BaseView.php on line 155) Also fixed; FCKEditor (used on the backend) appears to have a weird bug where the word "expression" is parsed into a rogue <x> tag that closes asymmetrically. Got missed back when I did the renaming effort for OCR01000. I'm still hoping to move forward with updating every individual ReMix re: tags, so that's fixed in my copy and will eventually be fixed. 2. Fixed. Gracias.
