zircon Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I'm proud to announce that pixietricks (Jill Goldin) is being featured on the front page of MysticRadio, a popular streaming radio station that plays new age, world, chillout, and ambient music. Jill's music has been added into their rotation with selections from her upcoming solo album. This is certainly an honor given MysticRadio's high-profile lineup of artists like Enya, Loreena McKennit, David Arkenstone, and Enigma. You can check out her feature and listen to the RadioMystic stream here: http://radiomystic.com/index.asp And don't forget to check out her website at www.jilliangoldin.com. Congratulations, Jill! MechaFone Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Whoa, that's awesome! I saw it coming somewhere along the line, though. Congratulations, Jillian! Quote
The Instrumental Light Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Alright, quite awesome indeed! Once again, good luck on the musical stuff, Jill! P.S. I sounded so dumb when I said "Musical Stuff", lol. Quote
Liontamer Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Excellent. Great to see even more recognition for you. I'm definitely looking forward to the full album being completed with the original/new age material. Be sure to give the community a sample with a chill ReMix or we'll disown you! Quote
Hyperion5182 Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 KA-FRIGGIN-BOOOYAH!! Well done!! Quote
The Pezman Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 w00. This kicks ass. Nice to finally have a musician on our site with original, officially published work. ...Anti-what? Quote
anosou Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Congratulationsh! Very cool. And we need more new age/ethno/chill remixes. GET CRACKIN' Quote
Shadow Wolf Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 This is pretty cool... I was in iTunes listening to an internet radio station, and a song starts playing... I think "Wow, this sounds like Jill Goldin. So I tab over, and guess what? It's Jill Goldin, aka our beloved Pixietricks! I love seeing this kind of thing... The longer I hang out at OCR, the more mainstream your names are becoming. Obviously since Jill's already doing things like singing for Civ 4, an internet radio station isn't a big deal, but it's awesome to see our artists getting exposure. Quote
Kizyr Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Wait... the full version of Hajime? Or were they just playing the 40s sample she released a while back? KF Quote
Shadow Wolf Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 To be honest, I don't know because I've never heard Hajime. Quote
Neo Samus Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 That's awesome! Well she does have an amazing voice. Quote
zircon Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 Yeah, that's the full version of Hajime on there - it's an original song from her upcoming album. I had actually posted about this recently; check Radio Mystic's front page. Quote
suzumebachi Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Mustin, Trenthian and JJT seem to be doing pretty well also. Mustin's been in the top 5 movers on last.fm for 3 weeks now. And last week, Trenthian was #2 (right behind Kanye West) and JJT was #4 (right behind Leona Lewis). Isn't that crazy? Quote
Monobrow Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 and me, I'm famous for many things like hair and things Quote
Jillian Aversa Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 It's okay, Shadowolf. He's just demonstrating the fact that he can't stand to see me receiving positive attention. That's cool that you heard Hajime without realizing some of my original songs had been added to their rotation. I was wondering if anyone would actually stumble upon them like that, so yay! Quote
MechaFone Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Jillian, do you have any albums out or in the near future you'll be selling? 'Cause I'd so pay 20+ for one of those. Quote
Shadow Wolf Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 LOL, I forgot you know all the right people. Now everyone gets to read your post and go "What the hell is she talking about?" Quote
Fishy Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 LOL, I forgot you know all the right people. Now everyone gets to read your post and go "What the hell is she talking about?" Be careful about what you're insinuating. Quote
Shadow Wolf Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I'm insinuating that a shitty post got deleted. Along with my response to it, because it no longer made sense without a context. People can deduce whatever they like, I really couldn't give a shit. Quote
Jillian Aversa Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 It has nothing to do with knowing the right people; mods moderate. I didn't talk to anyone, let alone the Larries. :B amarriedmegaphone: Yes, I do have an original album coming out in the spring. There's a thread about it here: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=11056 Previews are also posted on my website and myspace. Quote
