Foolish, ideallistic question about Kontakt

Some might be aware I had a huge computer malfunction and now I'm up again and while I was able to save my files and programs, I fear many of them I can't use again.

Since I've been meaning to buy Kontakt 4 anyway, I have to wonder if it might help me here. Is there any chance Kontakt will load the old Colossus and Ethno World 3 instruments?

At this point I may need to beg some of my work clients for some part-time work (which would actually work out for a number of things going on right now) if I need to buy that shit again, but I'm just weighing my best bets here.

Well, I believe if you have the Kompakt version of Colossus you can import it. I'm a Kontakt 4 virgin myself (bought Komplete 6 yesterday) but I was able to load everything else into Kontakt Player so I would more than imagine it would work with 4.

Zircon tells me it should be able to work, which is a huge load off my mind. :)

If you're talking about the Kompakt version of Colossus (this one) (http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1523.html), then yes. I don't even bother using any of the Kompakt instruments in Kompakt. I just load them straight into Kontakt 4 and they all work fine.
