The People's Remix Competition 192

Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! (http://www.doulifee.com/prc/PrcSong/PRCcommercial.wmv)

The last PRC (191) received some interest, but only one song. Sir Nuts remixed the Jurassic Park II Dark Jungle song and won by default. Because he submitted very fast, I can start the PRC today already. I've set the deadline of this PRC to the 25th (and not the 1st of May or something like that) because 12 days must be enough. I don't think more people enter when I give 19 days. Remember it's Easter at the end of the deadline and that there's a Good Friday in it as well.

Sir Nuts selected the source for this round:

For this one I am submitting a song from the game that was pretty much the best batman game until Arkham Asylum came out. Batman for NES.

It's the Laboratory Ruins theme. This soundtrack is incredibly overlooked, the soundtrack is a great, classic NES sunsoft soundtrack. This is from the guys who made classic soundtracks like Blaster Master and Journey to Silius. Why there's only 1 remix of this game in this website is mind-boggling.

Anyhoo, rant over. Enjoy.

PRC instructions
If you happen to be mixing this song already, start over in the interests of fairness.
Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed (only as Bonus Mixes).
Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link (http://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC192) by MONDAY APRIL 25th at 10:59 am ThaSauce time: check my signature (below) or the ThaSauce page for the exact time left.
You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix. You can post it in the thread if that doesn't work.
Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted.
Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score.
The winner of PRC191, Sir Nuts, can't take part, but his vote counts twice. He's also allowed to submit a bonus mix.

That's funny. I was just listening to this song yesterday for the first time in forever.

I'm In... and submitted :).

Good choice, was a hell of a challenge to approach this one with my cinematic style of remixing!

... dayum, man. I was going to feel bad for not being able to participate due to my absence from the internet this week, but... well, the one track that's up there did the theme so much justice I can't possibly call this compo a failure at all.

Sex. Pure sex.

I think Beckett has successfully scared away all competition. That is one sexy remix.

I don't think an extention works in that case. Great job (there are two days open for voting to leave comments @ThaSauce).

So, we have a winner.

Beckett007. You may select the source for PRC193.
Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM (http://www.ocremix.org/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=8264), other options are PM me @ ThaSauce (http://thasauce.net/modules.php?name=Private_Messages&mode=post&u=78) or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer PM @Ocremix).

Send it as fast as you can, but before Friday.

You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. Check it at the list:

Aye, this was a pretty awesome take on the source. :nicework:

Thanks all! Had tons of fun with this one... if you dig this mix, then you'll most likely really enjoy my other mixes found here at OCR.

The next PRC source track should be fun for any interested in giving it a shot. I'm sure Bundeslang will announce it here fairly shortly.

I loved your work during CMC, for the record. 'The Pain of Duty' was really good.

Hey Becket, just wanted to drop by and thank you for remixing this song. Your remix is BADASS.
