Do it. It helps a lot. Till the WCRG, I did not know that, if I put my mind to it, I could complete the bulk of a track in a week. It's helped me a lot, so I'd say go for it

Oh no doubt. I was very average before the WCRG. I'm still not amazing or anything, but I've improved soooooooooo much from the compo.

Yeah definitely. I haven't really had much experience with remixing at all until I did this. Having deadlines and some set sources kind of forced me to sit down and work through some tunes, and its turned out quite well. I feel like I improved loads from the beginning to the end of WCRG. These compos are definitely a great practice if you can commit to them.

I would give this a shot. I have never done a remix before, but I have remastered 4 sonic songs so maybe that qualifies me as "gud enuff for teh remicks?" :3

Duuuude lol!! Just enter! You can potentially learn a lot from competitions done in this manner. I feel like I can attribute a lot of my most relevant improvements on entering the megaman remix competitions. Granted I think I only finished one, but regardless, it was the inspiration to try something new in conjunction with having to know and understand my music theory to blend two themes together. Just enter bro =D
